Poor poor Carlos. He didn't deserve to end up at Williams. That's where careers start and later go to die. Carlos is easily a top 10 driver so deserved a team with winning chances. If he wanted a team built around him Audi was the clearer choice. Still, I wish him well. 👍🏻

Yeah I'm the same. At first I had a kind of kneejerk 'no way' reaction when rumblings started I think mostly because I genuinely thought Valtteri was going to head back there and sign the deal pretty quick, but the more I've thought about it the more I'm very much Team Carlos To WilliamsTM. I think he and Alex would make a great driver pairing. Very balanced, very measured in their approach. Not a wide gap in how they like the car. Sign the contract, Carlos!

I personally think Sainz gets unlucky. He has been playing his card correctly by taking his time to get the best deal. Who would gave guessed that all the top teams suddenly made their decision without considering him. If he knew, he wouldve gone for Merc even for a single year.

In it's current generation it's hard to say F1 is a meritocracy. Carlos is easily top six category and a very solid character to boot. He's horribly unlucky to lose out to a driver nearing his F1 twilight who is no longer quite top shelf. Audi and Seidl have missed the chance to start building Sauber and appear content to let it drift until 26 - bad bad move. Williams look to have a chance to get to upper midfield by next year. Carlos will ignore father's advice because he is still ambitious and believes amazingly, he can be World Champion, I'm not so sure but he's damn good.

Immediately followed you! It's very soothing to see F1 content made by a woman and so well spoken ❤ I can't wait to see more of you in the future!

Hi Kimmy! New sub! 🎉 I like your observations and I agree, Red Bull was a emphatic NO! Mercedes is hanging their future on Antonelli, and Sauber hasn’t worked all the bugs out yet. Didn’t really give Sainz too many choices. But every place he’s gone has come out better for him being there. ♥️ #55

I think Sainz and Bowles would be a great partnership.

Certainly Williams has very good people working there but it's a step down from Ferrari. But maybe something else might change before the end of the year at Ferrari/Mercedes. Given how things are going .. you never know!!

Learn from Alonso you grab your seat early with the best deal you can. And you don't insult a team like Audi, by snubbing their offer and making out they are just one of many interested parties.

Golden oportunity to lose against Albon and move to Formula E. F1 is beyond his level of skill.
