The weird thing about Detroit is that it looks like he tried to shape the cougar outline similar to the Red Wings logo, but that really doesn't make sense if the team is just the Cougars...

The five notches on the cog of the Oilers logo represent the five cups they've won. The previous cog logo they've used also has five notches..
Notice there was no Arizona/Phoenix logo. It’s no coincidence that the Wisconsin Wolf Pack looked like the Coyotes logo, it was clearly intended to be a slight rebrand for a move of the team to Milwaukee.

The bear from the Boston Bruins spoked jersey is actually from the Fresno Grizzlies Minor league baseball team. I love the use and recoloring of it.
I got this idea from the Marvel movie, 'Dr. Strange, Multiverse of Madness'. I wanted to create a NHL league from an alternate universe. Yes, these concepts are out there but I wanted to have fun with it. Neil, I am happy you appreciate this set. I wanted to do something crazy and out of the ordinary. Thank you very much.

The Hartford Whalers logo is f*ckin epic!!!! I think the grey outline could be erased and put straight on a jersey
The Bruins logo is literally the Fresno Grizzlies logo.

Pittsburgh was by far my favorite. I love pretty much anything with skulls so it was pretty easy but very creative concept for a concept series.

I could see Vancouver adopting his design for a third jersey, very creative shoulder design. As a Kraken fan I wasn't blown away by his redesign, but I do like the tentacle around the Space Needle. Very entertaining video!

As A heads up, as someone from the NY metro, the rangers redesign looks like it was modeled after an NYFD badge with the fire and cityscape and all. Just thought I might offer some clarity.

I really like history call back with the Pittsburgh Pirates, St Louis Eagles and Toronto St Pats
So for Detroit, at least what I interpreted was that the "flames" on the back of the cat were a nod to the feathers of the Red Wings logo.
The one that caught my attention was for the Atlanta Flames. If you turned the logo so that the wings look more like a C, you'd most probably have a new logo for the Calgary Flames as well.
I'd even be so bold as to submit this as a new logo for the Coventry Blaze - you up for it Jason?

These are really great logos I made a few myself for multiverse but only made it up to NYR I gotta continue these again.
The building in the capitals shoulder patch is not the Washington monument. It's quite literally called the Capital or the capital building
"Okay" and "awkward" are code words for "excellent".
Now that you mention it the top logo for Atl looks like a Power Ranger symbol for us old people out there.
The flame on the New York Rangers reminded me of the Zippo logo lol.
The Vegas alternate logo looks awesome “LVA”. Kinda looks like the Avalanche alternate logo

The Pittsburgh logo is amazing. However, it would not work on an NHL jersey. On the other hand. Pittsburgh does have a Major League Baseball team called the Pittsburgh Pirates. And if they choose to rebrand their logo. That logo would 100 percent work
The blues logo is actually a flipped version of the note so the logo in this multi-verse would actually have it portrayed correctly lol
The star in the North Stars' Texas logo is not even close to Dallas. That would be a good 4-hour drive from American Airlines Arena.
The Nashville Tigers primary looks more like a modernized college football logo… but maybe I’m just thinking that way because it’s football season and Nashville is in the South.

A lot of these look like clipart or just logos you can choose when creating a new team in an EA sports game.

I like them jerseys, they're cool. In the multiverses, some teams won't relocate or disband (i.e., st louis eagles, pittsburgh pirates, etc.) like in ours. I won't be surprised if babe ruth doesn't sign with the yankees in one multiverse and there's no steroid era in another. That's the beauty of multiverses, they're so different from ours, it's uncanny.
If I were to tackle this topic from a design perspective, I would first think about North America in an alternate universe type of context before I just reinvented logos. Maybe the original six didn't include one team and instead had Seattle from the beginning. Or maybe the NHL expansion and relocation history turned out different. Maybe New York was called New Amsterdam instead. Maybe America lost the war with Spain. Thats just me.

I didn't mind the Sharks logo too much, but nothing is beating our current logo. I think the orange background should've been white and the thing black ring around the circle could've been orange.
Gosh there some very good designer that you show in this kind of video. Wish that kind of customization happen in NHL game. Would be really could to use some of this cool design and development new franchise and history with that. Or doing thing already existing like Les boys or Les Draveurs kind of thing. Superbe design and super fun to discover.

Until now, I have not liked any recolouring of the skate logo. But, for whatever reason, this one seems to work. I dig it.

It’s not the first time that we see red or reddish fleur-de-lys in Montreal concepts. I have to say I found that very odd. Fleur-de-lys are naturally white, gold or greenish. Of course, they have been blue in many coat of arms since it was a French royal colour, but it’s a bit awkward to see a red one.
Hang on… maple leaves aren’t blue. Ok, forget it.

Technically The Bleu-Blanc-Rouge are the colors of the French Republic since Nouvelle-France was never part of the French Republic why use those colors . The traditional colors are white and yellow or blue and yellow fleur de lys. How ever if we go back to the City Armory. The white and red cross, the Green Maple Leafs the montréal armory the 4 founding nation (French Fleur de Lys, English Rose, Scottish Thistle and Irish Clover and the 5th nations (Native Yellow Pine) Also The animal of the Canadian Le Castor / Beaver. So the proper jersey is the Red Green White and the Brown for the (Beaver Pelt).

Yes Dallas can Be North Stars and yes your correct Dallas is in the south But in Texas we call the area in Dallas and surrounding areas called North Texas en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Texas
The Stars started in the north, so it means the team was North Starts.
