- This is my Gibson 58 Les Paul Junior DC unboxing video without the commentaries. I thought some people might prefer this kind of video. Let me know in the comments what you think about Les Paul Juniors or single pickup guitars in general. :) Peace!

Awesome guitar. Just got the single cutaway version but I'd like to have the DC too:)
Sweet!
That’s really nice
Thanks Joe! Appreciate it
That must be new old stock eh , cause that sure is in great shape for a 58. She’s a beauty though.
Yeah its a reissue. ;)
I got the same guitar in May 2022. The “Les Paul TV Model” is really faded like the Gibson logo for some reason 🤔 Yours looks brighter than mine.
It also has some light swirling marks on the back like they did some buffing or something.
Also some of the yellow finish from the neck is on the binding of the fretboard.
Does yours have anything like this?
. Unlike the Gibson logo which is a transfer and buried under the lacquer, the "Les Paul..." is silk screened on top of the lacquer on these, leaving it totally unprotected and subject to wear from cleaning etc. If you run your finger over it you should be able to feel the slightly raised lettering. The reflective qualities and shades of the "gold" used in these two processes should look entirely different.
. Swirling is indicative of a hand held buffing/polishing pad...to my knowledge, Gibson use the non-orbital bench mounted polishing wheels which should not leave swirling.
. There should not be any binding on the fretboard.
Are you sure that yours is this model???
BTW. I have the 2011 VOS model which is exactly the same apart from the case.

@@JohnBoy-Ramone There’s no actual binding. I just meant some of the yellow finish from the neck is bleeding onto where the fretboard meets the neck, where binding would be.
The swirling is weird. Maybe it’s supposed to be from natural wear up against one’s body while playing.
The headstock logo makes sense now why LP would be faded. But mine was like that brand new so they must have purposely faded it.
I have the certificate. It’s a 2021 ‘58 reissue.
@@seanzinger It does sound strange that the bleeding is even noticeable on the fretboard...TV Yellow is very translucent. The swirling might just be from de-nibbing (dust removal). There should be a quality control checklist with your certificate that details all the "Exterior Finishing". It will also have the signature of whoever passed it, so you might have some comeback if you contact Gibson.
Congratulations; I don't normally give unboxing videos the time of day 🥱, but as I have the 2011 VOS version of this guitar, I have made an exception. I luv the alligator case, which seems to be the only difference between yours and mine.
thanks! yeah I guess theyre most likely the same. and yeah the croc case is really cool and reliable. :)
What year was that made? What model
