- A very good afternoon spent at Marholm on the East Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from London Northeastern Railway, Grand Central, Hull Trains, Lumo, Cross Country, East Midlands Railway and freight from DB Cargo UK, GBRF, Freightliner and DC Railfreight.
I haven't been here for a couple of years and for the life of me I can't really see why, this is a great spot of the ECML to come to especially when the weather is on your side. You get amazing views of the line going north and south as well as a fairly decent view of the line heading to Lincoln.
My next film will be from Romford on the Great Eastern Mainline.
You can now find me on Facebook through the group Tornado922, there you will find regular updates, videos and photos from all of my goings on throughout 2022.
You can also find me on Instagram through the name tornado922 where it isn't just rail related content that I produce.
Yay. Marholm Is A Lineside Location On The East Coast Main Line That Is Just North Of Peterborough
I know it is.......
Finally got Lumo!
Took me long enough haha
Nice 👍
Thanks very much
That GBRF 66 with the Chinook on the side is frankly named Chinook the nameplate is blended into the artwork
I know
Hi Tornado great video
Thanks very much!
Good video nice location it was rather windy during this video nice bit of freight as well
Thanks very much, this area often gets a fair amount of wind because it's so open and flat. But that just adds to the charm of the area
Great video
Thanks very much!
Great video at Marholm I like the livery on the GBRF 66
Thanks very much, the GBRF 66 locos do look good
Brilliant video legend I was enjoying your videos and keep up get work
Thank you kindly bud
Another good video, nice to see that some variety remains on the ECML - can't say I'm a fan of the relatively dull 80x's that every operating company seems to be taking up!
Thanks very much bud, it is a shame that the railways are all headed in the same direction when it comes to their rolling stock. Would be nice to see something other than 80x series trains running around
Great video 👍
Nice video great work as always can't wait for the next video 👍
Thanks very much!
@@Tornado922 no problem bro your videos are the best keep up the good work 👍👍😀😀
Great video Tornado922
Thanks very much!
As alaways a fantastic compliment of trains. Your videos are excellent.
Thank you kindly
Brilliant video! I really enjoyed this :)
Thanks very much bud, I'm glad you did
Great railway video as always mate, you got yourself a nice view.
Thanks very much bud, I have always enjoyed coming here
Awesome video buddy from Alan in Lowestoft
Thank you kindly!
Been a while I know but I'm back and enjoying your videos
I'm glad you're still enjoying them!
There is also a very nice footbridge in St Albans that I use for trainspotting
Is that at the station or along the line?
Nice video love the spotting
Thank you kindly
The 180 with the green stripe on it is actually 180112. The unit is formed as a hybrid of Class 180s 180103 and 180112.
Right ok, thanks for that
@@Tornado922 You're welcome and I might have Newark Northgate lined up somewhere but we shall see!
Can You Go To Smethwick Galton Bridge And Film Some Trains After Marholm?
I'll see what I can do
As always you never fail to bring us a fantastic and interesting video. Being a farmer I apologize for the dust from the combine 😂😂. Thanks once again for posting your video really enjoyed watching. Regards to the family. Love to live there I'd never get any work done
I shan't hold you personally responsible for the dust from the combine ;)
Great video mate. Marholm is a lineside near Peterborough station. The NWT is 66747 'Made in Sheffield' and nice to catch 66004 the 'climate hero' you're going to Romford on the GEML
I do enjoy coming here, I should make more of an effort to come to spots like this across the network. I got very lucky with those liveries!
Hi Tornado922. Great film at Marholm. Nice 2-tone from 801226 at 3:56. I also love the Real Time Trains website. Looking forward to next film at Romford. Kind regards, Chris.
Thank you kindly Chris, and thank you for all of your continued support!
@@Tornado922 No problem.
Nice keep up the good work
Thanks very much
very good variety at this spot; this bridge would've been even more helpful near the junction 😁
This spot does give you some great variety in traffic. I will try and get to Werrington Junction at some stage and see what I can do from there
😆the number for the NWT livery 66 is the same as plane type 66747
there's also a 158747, with GWR, now that it's reformed to a 2-car.
Could you maybe go to princes risborough.
I've been there once before. I don't know if it's a station I'll revisit
GBRF NWT liveried 66 is 66747
Thank you kindly!
Great video Do you possess some sort of ultra telescopic zoom lens or some sort of app to get your info Top marks for you observations 👍👍👍
some of the operators take part in the Know Your Train feature of RealTimeTrains.
@Waltham Walker, because I've been a trainspotter for so long now I can recognise most trains for a far distance and when it comes to getting their numbers I know where to look in order to grab them, even at awkward angles
@@Tornado922 i guess its a skill which i will never get Always great videos you produce along with the commentary 👍👍👍👍
Have You Been To A Lineside Location On The East Coast Main Line Called Ryther? Its On A Field With The East Coast Main Line Passing Trains
No I haven't been there
Great video !! Have you ever considered filming trains overseas ?
Thank you kindly! I have got a few videos on my channel when I've done some filming over in Europe over the years
Are you going to the East lancs railway autumn steam gala in October
I'm not to sure at this stage
4:00 and 3:34
Can you please go Nottingham
I do have plans to go there at some stage
This real train times how do you get it on your phone?
To access Real Time Trains, you simply search for it via the Internet and then you should be able to find it from there. It's more of a website than an actual app.
It's a website that you can open on your phone. Just open up your internet browser on your phone and type in RealtimeTrains, you'll then find it
