As an sd native you did a great job finding places! For next time I suggest kin len, shwarma guys, 52 remedies speakeasy, Oscar’s fish tacos, vallartas Christian fries, tj tacos, wayfarer bakery, blue whale acai bowl, bobboi gelato
Next time you're out here check out TNT Pizza which is right across the street from Asa Bakery. Try their Dill Pickle slice. Sounds odd but it's really tasty. Also try Minh Ky for the wonton noodle soup. I get the roast duck noodle soup and add the wontons. Las Cuatro Milpas is a legend you need to go to soon because the rumor is the lady who owns it will be retiring in the near future and has no plans on selling it or passing it down. Awesome tacos durados, rolled tacos, the chorizo beans and rice. Everything there is really good.
As a Native San Diegan, you certainly did San Diego justice. I love that you traveled all throughout San Diego and didn't just stay in one neighborhood. You tried a variety of food, broke down the pricing and gave informative information about everything you ate. Most food bloggers nowadays just say everything is "So good" and overreact when eating something. You're clearly being yourself while living your best life through food. Never change please! Stay classy ❤️
@feedmeimei I wanted to give say and big thank you and tell you how much I enjoy your videos! My stomach is paralyzed (I have several motility disorders ) so I get all my nutrition through a needle that goes into my heart and get fed through my bloodstream. I can eat a little bit of food but it’s a very painful experience unfortunately but when I watch your video, I feel like we are just too friends enjoying a nice meal! Makes me forget I’m sick if it’s just for a few minutes. I really hope one day I can meet you in person and give you a big hug. Thank you meimei ❤️❤️❤️❤️
As a San Diego Native here are some more unique taco spots: - Aqui es Texcoco - City Tacos - Mariscos & Birria El Prieto - Ed Fernandez Restaurant Birrieria - Carnitas Las Michoacanas
@@cocoillo worst fish taco in the county I’ve had actually lol. Super small and tiny compared to other food trucks and lacking flavor also. Even my gf agreed. We went to the truck off second street that’s been there for two years
I'm a San Diego native and I'm here for recommendations haha edit: Coco Bomb and Tita's Kitchenette are 10/10. I'm Filipino and, while the atmosphere at Tita's isn't the comfiest, it is the closest to authentic Filipino food that my family makes at home (but like... professional :D) edit #2: I live down the street from An's Dry Cleaning and have never seen a brown sugar milk tea or matcha flavor and now I need that.
An's Dry Cleaning changes their flavors every 2 weeks. You may want to check their website to see what flavors they're currently offering. When I last went a few weeks back, they had the matcha and honey toast flavors.
You’re my “go to” when it comes to honest and comprehensive reviews. Light, cheery, straight to the point. Hope you enjoyed your stay in our neck of the woods!
Fun Fact about Yun Tea: the owner used to overwork their workers with no breaks ( just started giving breaks not too long ago) and the owner has 2 lawsuits going on at the moment against terminated and ex employees. Their practices are pretty unsanitary. they don't really clean their machines at all and the owners really only care about money and reviews rather than their worker's well being and cleanliness. given the poor management and training. Yes Yun Tea and all the other establishments are aesthetically pleasing and a cool place to go to, but it also brings a bad taste in my mouth and discomfort knowing how they treat their workers, the lack of cleanliness in their work stations, and the owners overall greed for money.
Love your attitude and commentary. I grew up in SD but hadn't been back in a while, visited my parents and stopped by 3 places here thanks to your reccs! Much love!
Yay it’s our gorg Cali girlie Meimei 😍Stella Jean’s Ice Cream and Pop Pie Co were both so yummy looking!! Also the ice cream colors you chose looked very aesthetically appealing next to each other 😋
hii emily!! congrats, you won the nightmare before christmas headband!! please email me at feedmeimeifood@gmail with the subject title "disneyland halloween headband" 🥳🥳
watching all your videos while living in a place in europe that doesn't have so much of the food you try.... one day i will get to eat all this and then i will be unstoppable ‼️
Hey MeiMei!! So happy you were able to come to SD again and enjoy the delicious food. 🥰 Next time you’re here I recommend trying Oscar’s Mexican Seafood for their seafood tacos! Also, Wayfarer Bread & Pastry is a must visit. Seriously the pastries are so good, even better than ones I’ve had in France.
Thanks for this. I live here and I haven’t been to the cafes or bakeries you mentioned . Can’t wait to try them out. Yum 😋 Would have been so cool to run into you. 😊 Please try out Selva coffee house, Dumpling inn & Bluewater seafood & grill the next time you’re in town.
Yayyy another eating in the car video!!!! 😁 Thinking about visiting san diego cuz we have never been. This video is convincing me more!!! 🤩 Thanks for the reviews meimei! Watching your hawaii vids made us decide to visit hawaii a few years back. That's how I discovered ur channel too! Thank youuuuu! 💕 From a fellow bay area resident ☺️
For coffee you gotta try saigon coffee and mostra coffee next time!! And carne asada fries, it's a must whenever I come back home :) i reccomend lolitas or el nuevo milenio. The adobada fries at tacos el gordo is also my fave. Have you tried the salted pepper wings yet? Royal mandarin is a must!! But their rival golden chopsticks is also pretty good 😂
Hey hey! Thx for tips of new places I gotta check out! In San Diego, have you tried Flour Atelier, Camellia Rd Tea, Flama Llama, The Market at Hawaiian Fresh Seafood, and MNGO Cafe? Oh… and Teresita’s Cafe for their Chamango (to me they were the first chamango spot in SD). There’s also this cute cafe called Hatsuzakura. If you’ve been, can you link your videos to those? I’m curious to see what you thought 😉.
I can’t stop watching your amazing and SUPER HELPFUL videos. since I’m going to San Diego in a month, all of these restaurant recommendations were so helpful to me and I will definitely try them out 😊Thank you so much @feedmeimei!!!!! just know you’re the best!😁
The first/second place looks the best to me bc ive been seeing lots of cafe with bakeries vlogs lately! Yay ty for the upload as always!! Im ngl im pretty behind on the videos but i always try to comment and i will definitely watch them soon!! 🥳💕
When u were trying to figure out how to bite into the almond pastry 😂😂😂 way too cute. San Diego is on my bucket travel list for next summer and I appreciate your recs so much!
You visited the little diamond in the rough Linda Vista! I grew up there, my mom still lives there and I've never tried Cocobomb. I will go Tomorrow! These are great recommendations, thank you!.
Best birria tacos in San Diego are at Ed Fernandez Birrieria. Tacos Revolución. Best rolled tacos at Los Taquitos on Third and Main in Chula Vista. You gotta go to south San Diego for the best Mexican food.
Great video! The beef noodle soup and the tacos look amazing. I don’t know about that strawberry and coffee drink though. Seems like a weird combination! You were polite about it, but could tell it wasn’t your thing either! I don’t like sweet or complicated coffee drinks. I like a plain cold brew with just a splash of non fat milk.
Your food tours are always so awesome, Meimei! All of the pastries looked so yummy, and the stuffed bagel was so cool. Duck s#!t is a funny name for a drink XD
In San Diego there is a little coffee shop in Old Town San Diego called “Flor and Seed” 3985 Harney St D, San Diego, CA 92110. You have to try their Aztec mocha either hot or iced.
I'm only at 1:00 and my response is: I think a lot of the stuff they add to coffee would taste a lot better with matcha or tea. So strawberry+ coffee is a bit weird, but strawberry + matcha goes really well, or strawberry and milk tea.
Next time, try Las Quarto Milpas, one of the Crown Jewels of San Diego Tacos places. Family owned business for decades. Small menu that is sooooo good. Go early, long line after 10:00am. Closes at 3:00pm because they run out of food.
Wayfarer bakery in San Diego is so much better than the overpriced croissants at Izola. The layers are thinner and flakier. Izola has a lot of PR but just does not have the quality. Also 102 scones also have better croissants.
What was your favorite food from the video? Which San Diego spots should I visit when I go back? Let me know below! 👇
the caffeine drink was my fav

El Prieto? The food truck on University? CAUSE YES! It's my absolute favorite.
City Tacos is mid tbh 😭
El prieto, BEST tacos in the county imo
@@cocoillo worst fish taco in the county I’ve had actually lol. Super small and tiny compared to other food trucks and lacking flavor also. Even my gf agreed. We went to the truck off second street that’s been there for two years

Yay it's the Sand Diego food tour that we've all been waiting for!!!
Some of my local favorites:
- Tenkatori
- Homestyle Hawaiian
- Hawaiian Fresh Seafood
- Goi Cuon
- Chaba Thai Kitchen
- Ee Nami
Ee NAMI is the best Katsu I ever had
Have you ever had the poke at Its Raw in ocean beach? The best I’ve ever had anywhere imo.
Love seeing all the other fellow San Diegans recommending great food places!

VISITING SD THIS SUNDAY! it's always my bf & i's go to spot to get away. will definitely be trying the crack shack & bronx pizza!!!!!
Great San Diego review! Also, just sayin’, assistant Kelly has the best job ever ❤😊
Good call on Menya ultra, best Ramen in San Diego, hands down!
Let's Go! The water has gone done in many areas. This wall of water is headed towards Bangkok to get out into the sea.
i'm glad to hear things are getting better. hope you're staying safe!!! sending love to thailand ❤️❤️

The noodle soup with the giant rib looked so good! I would devour Hinar’s strawberry cake. 🍓
The beef noodle soup is the winner for me! I've seen you try many a soup, I have yet to find a place to try
Try Tulum in Mira Mesa. Authentic Mexican seafood with a Cali twist. Their fish taco is the best I've ever had to date.
Yeah Phonomenal's broth is probably different in comparison to traditional pho since it's a Cambodian style. Absolutely tasty and delicious.
