Imagine if Justin played the WWF World Title arcade ladder, instead of the intercontinental. The last match you have to face the whole roster, 3 at a time with one health bar lol Ultimate rage fuel
Wow, this is a super nostalgic callback for me. Spent tons of money on this game at a local pizza restaurant. Undertaker and Razor Ramon were my dudes.
One of my favorite games of all time. WWE has really dropped the ball on bringing this back. The last "arcade style" WWE game was terrible. You can get some wildly long combos in this game.
I loved this game as a kid. I had it for my SNES and Taker was my favorite character. Back then I had a Nintendo Power Magazine that had all the moves and combos. With taker you can pull off a massive combo that ends with 3 choke slams and the last one he jumps like 50 feet in the air. Such good memories.
I remember this game's control scheme was a little strange. It used a Mortal Kombat layout, but there wasn't a run button. Instead you had to hit LP+LK to run and many moves came off the run. Also, there was a lot of double tapping. Like, a basic grapple was f, f, HP. IIRC it also seemed to favor negative edge with inputs.
this was the greatest game of all time.. so many mechanics and roster with personalities.. I remember you could juggle lex with hitman's rolling punch forever it was an infinite.. bam bam has a combo glitch where he hits you with 15 hits but it doesn't count as combo.. almost all the characters have negative edge moves
This is great just recently subscribed and I’m absolutely loving the triple KO podcast. Really have gotten into fighting games recently and I think it’s the most unappreciated genre in gaming. Right now KoF XV is my preferred game and capcom fighting collection
I've seen this on Twitch. JWong tried to play the WWF Championship mode, then gave up when he can't make it further than the 2nd round (I think) & switched to the Intercontinental Championship mode. But at the end of the WWF Championship mode is a "Wrestlemania Challenge", where you have to fight all 8 wrestlers in a round, ala Survival Mode

One tactic I used when I used to play this a ton on the snes, was to use run a lot. Basically the whole time. Run to dodge, run to attack. Other than that, grab and do combo’s helps. Also certain moves you can hit multiple times, like swinging that tombstone.

I haven't seen that game in a long time, the animations still seem pretty good to me, it's also more dynamic than most games based on WWE. I've only played the Snes version but I think it wasn't so hard because you couldn't fight 3 characters at the same time.
Never thought I'd see Justin play a wrestling game here, and even then, I assumed it would be something like SNK's 3-Count Bout or Capcom's Ring of Destruction: Slam Masters 2 - more well-known/classically-styled wrestling/fighting game hybrids. If any WWE game showed up, _maybe_ All Stars? But this? Total surprise - and I love to see it!

I played the PC version of this. I remember beating that mode where you fight the entire roster and they come streaming in one by one as long as there's space for them. You have to be really quick at beating every one of them with all manner of running grabs and OTGs.
Actually, now that I watch, you didn't even learn combos. So this video was kind pointless. You played it like SF so no chance to actually enjoy this game
One of my ALL TIME favs I'd played at the arcade and on my Sega Genesis. I slaughtered ops using Razor Ramon's 32 hit combo but was versatile in using Undertaker, Bret Hart, Sean Michael's, Bam Bam Bigalo, and Doink The Clown. Still have the game for my Genesis too 🎮

F,F+SP for a tie up, usual combo is Px5, Kx5, SPx5, SKx5.. also, if you got full combo, you can just save it in case you get pinned.. if pinned, mash buttons and you'll kick out.. if you think that's stressful, try the world championship run..
All you need is to do the grab twice. Forward forward HP, forward forward HP. Changes the game. Leads to many high impact maneuvers. Fireballs and specials are crap.
If COMBO is lit up when pinned, theyll automatically kick out.. you can kick out as well if you have no health and full combo meter.. F,F+SP is the grab.. when they have full combo, dont pin them, just move away and the game should eventually go to the round over.. you technically dont have to pin them.. i would always just keep going to the top and launchint an attack over and over until next round starts or next fight..
