I was one of the 50k who lived in that city, was hoping the turks moved into those properties since everyone of them contains asbestos which was lethal to lung cancer.
Peter great footage and a great service you have provided to those who lost their homes and businesses. I so enjoy all of your videos, you have a way of presenting with insight and passion. Keep doing your drone videos, I love them..
love your music choice going towards the town the music entices you to keep looking and as you get closer it builds to a frenzy just brilliant thanks for the great footage and music scuse the pun but CLASSIC.
I dunno. Seeing as this city was pretty much killed by an invasion, seems to me a requiem mass would have been more appropriate. William Tell? Too celebratory for the content.
Thats the ultamate dream rc playground,at the same time one of the most depressing things I've ever seen,so many homes and resorses just sitting there rotting,so sad. On a possitive note very smooth crisp footage,Agreat to see your back in business I always enjoy your stuff my friend. And I am sorry for all the rotton luck you've suffered.
I am surprised how quickly a building will dilapidate, some of those had to be new because there was building going on, evidence of the new foundations and unfinished buildings. Sadly I bet 200 years would level this area to piles of rubble.
Very nice video as you normally do. That is a very large GHOST TOWN WOW! Peter will you please tell me what are your camera "style settings" that you use on your DJI?
HI I've watched many of your videos & I think they are a great resource for new or amateur UAV/camera operators, as you make & solve many of the common mistakes, sometimes I want to yell at you as the solution to you problems are usually something that a trained operator would know. The flickering is shutter speed to high, as others have mentions it MUST be twice your frame rate (fps - 25 - shutter 50) use ND or combo ND POLA filters to achieve this also why don't you try shooting in manual mode in manual mode you can adjust your camera setting with the C1 or C2 wheel while your flying (ISO & aperture) as you would have total control over your images. I always shoot D-Log for paid work or d-cine/none for web stuff. Always shoot in 4K I don't know why you would throw all that wonderful detail away if you don't have to, also you must use a NEW IOS device the connection problems are gone & the latency is reduced to almost nothing. One last point after watching you I know you would benefit greatly by doing a simple course to either get your UAV licence or a manufacturers certification course, you will learn so much more that you think, it will improve the safety or your operation & the make the quality of you images consistently great. I only use 3 colour settings Day sunny 56K - Night tungsten or 32K or most of the time AUTO as when your in the air you will probably never fly from one type of coloured light into another. I hope you don't mind the comments & I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. I work with many types of UAV's from 5" race drones with a GoPro 6 right through most DJI drones, Vapour 35's & 55's right up tp jet turbine powered Swiss Drones SD50 which can lift 45-kg. always have an observer when you use googles (especially if you are going to post that fact thats what your doing & don't have an observer) I know its no good but thats the law if we break the laws they will ban drones for everyone. I have put some links below just so you can check my background. if you want to get all the shots you must learn to fly in ATTI mode as relying on the sensors give you a false sense of safety & prevent you from doing so much, even get something like the EMAX TinyHawk to learn so you don't risk your expensive UAV's. PS I have never used AUTO Takeoff/Land or RTH, if you cant use the map or the RADAR to fly home you need to learn how to do this. also a mobile hotspot so you have internet would help. www.pulseaero.com/uas-products/vapor-35 www.pulseaero.com/uas-products/vapor-55 www.swissdrones.com/sdo-50/ facebook.com/shaunflaherty666 www.linkedin.com/in/themissinglinkproductions www.themissinglinkproductions.com.au
In 1974, the glamorous resort town of Varosha in Cyprus was abandoned by its 35,000 mainly Greek Cypriot residents after the Turkish army invaded the northern part of the island. Now fenced off and forlorn, Varosha has never been resettled, being set aside by the Turkish authorities as a possible bargaining chip should negotiations even begin with the south. Today, nearly 40 years after being abandoned, Varosha remains one of the largest modern ruins in existence, on a par with Pripyat in the contaminated zone around Chernobyl in Ukraine. As part of the militarised zone between northern and southern Cyprus, Varosha is effectively off limits to all but official visitors: a ‘Forbidden Zone’ as the countless signs along the fence proclaim. The fence itself is a formidable barrier to any would-be explorers: a mixture of barbed wire, corrugated iron, Prickly Pear cacti, oil drums and signs warning off intruders. Yet, away from the obvious observation towers on the town’s seafront, where lone guards sit or stand in abject boredom or blow whistles at anyone trying to take photographs, there’s surprisingly little security: gaps have opened in the fence and it’s easy to slip in and out unnoticed.
did the watermark really need to be so BIG and UGLY? I understand that you want to protect your work, but it kinda ruins your beautiful video, and I find it even a bit offensive.
Peter im a videographer and i am from Cyprus. My dads home is in there. i live in Protaras.....Check my channel out to see what videos i make but just a question where did you take off from and are you even aloud to fly in their....
In all respect, I think that Peter - rightly so - is trying to do exactly the opposite of giving it a rest. It has 'rested' too long outside of public awareness and is a huge black spot on human history.
*50,000 people used to live here now it's a ghost town*
Zakhaev, Imran Zakhaev.
I'm playing the remastered version as we speak!
Never seen anything like it.
*Move*

Great footage Peter. Thanks for taking it upon yourself to post this.
Heeey Peter, brilliant footage from the 2nd flight! You were also very lucky to have the 🌞 on your side... best, Hp
The music says that your are still waiting for your bags Peter. Great and amazing shots of Varosha!!
Another great video, hope you have better luck from now on.
While listening to the overture I kept looking for the lone ranger and Tonto to ride in on Silver and Scout and straighten that mess out
Outstanding footage Peter
Perfect music Peter for lovely footage.
Peter, thanx for sharing everything you do with us! 👍🇺🇸👍

Hey Peter how things? Did you get your drone replacement? What about your lost luggage? Keep on the good job brother!
Great job.Thanks.It may be was the best place in Cyprus.I'm sorry about all the people who needed to leave.

Somebody can tell me the name of the first song? I love it (i'm from Argentina, sorry for my bad english)
Guillaume Tell, Overture
Very nice video as you normally do. That is a very large GHOST TOWN WOW!
Peter will you please tell me what are your camera "style settings" that you use on your DJI?
Auto.
Thanks again Peter
this is awesome. It looks a lot like the realistic Military game ARMA 3 got the inspiration for some of their maps from here.
I saw a car driving around down there is it a ghost car?

That explains the car I saw driving around...
did the watermark really need to be so BIG and UGLY? I understand that you want to protect your work, but it kinda ruins your beautiful video, and I find it even a bit offensive.
Wouldn't it be funny if the guards of this place were watching these videos? LMAO!
It's like those empty minecraft city servers , except the ones you haven't been to so there's no memory
Why is it a ghost town?
i can see movement of vehicles
lol, At 5:17 just left of the vid logo is my school and at 5:37 2nd to left was my home:(
Turn it into a pubg style paintball thing :)
Even more eerie without your usual narrative Peter.
Good one peter
I love this. Imagine how a culture can be erased!!!
Explain please....do u love it because a culture has been erased...?
I want you to say that again when they kill your family and force you leave your home, your memories. Everything you had.
Peter im a videographer and i am from Cyprus. My dads home is in there. i live in Protaras.....Check my channel out to see what videos i make but just a question where did you take off from and are you even aloud to fly in their....
What happened?
War gets the blame for this one , as it often does en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_invasion_of_Cyprus
Approximately 3 million refugees currently living in camps in Turkey. Perhaps they can help rebuild this city with some EU money?
Grci se nebi složili s tvojim mišljenjem.
Good brother this video mindbolling and more videos available
I hope one day Varosha will be returned to how it was before the war
Wonder who was driving in that car? Some signs of life....at least no morning rush hour!
Turk military.
Sience for Berlin .;)
The video provided earth is flat JK lmao 🤣😂
I expected you fly through the streets and into the houses to discover things... I am disappointed :(
Again?? Bro please, give Varosha a rest. Please!!
If you dont like it leave!
Look at the upload date... I just made these videos public now.
In all respect, I think that Peter - rightly so - is trying to do exactly the opposite of giving it a rest. It has 'rested' too long outside of public awareness and is a huge black spot on human history.
@@NeverMindYourOwn, Thank you Peter, Brilliant Quality too!
