I loved your DITL with Gather Round. This is what I picture doing with my 4 one day... I love the idea of them all gathered around learning about the same thing but on their level.
Thanks for sharing a glimpse of your day with all of us! I have 3rd and 1st grade boys with a crazy almost 2 yo daughter running around! You are amazingly organized and in control! You are a rockstar!!
You’re an amazing mom and educator, Julie!!! ;) We, too, are loving Gather Round for our kiddos! It can definitely be a juggling act with our multiple kiddos too.
Love going through a lesson with y’all!! We do one lesson over two days as well. We haven’t done Human Body, but have it for this year and can’t wait to get to it.☺️
This is my first year doing homeschool and we’re also doing gather round we’re on our second unit we’re doing space and I am absolutely loving how engaging it is and how easy it is cause it’s all in one. Homeschooling seemed sooooo daunting
That’s awesome, Katie!! Homeschooling is especially daunting before you start. It’s never easy, but once you start and get into a rhythm, you realize that you probably worried more than you needed to! ❤️ So glad to hear that you’re off to a good start!
Hi! I came over from Jamie's channel. Im so glad I did. I loved seeing y'alls lesson for the day. Right off the bat had me chuckle with "stop the background noise please". 🤣❤ its life with kids and its refreshing to see we all go through it. Im in my first year of homeschooling my 8 yr old. I love that you put out this video bc i had wondered what a lesson might look like in someone else's homeschool. I keep wondering sometimes if im doing it wrong. Thanks so much for sharing your day with your kids. New Subscriber here! ~Jaime
Coming over from Jamie's channel! Love finding other GRH families. Haven't done any videos in a long time because we moved to Haiti but I'm hoping to start back soon :) Loved your video and you have a sweet family.
I love seeing inside this curriculum! I have been super curious about it and had emailed the creator at one point about some questions I had. I just have one little one homeschooling at this time and have been using My Father’s World and Abeka curriculum, but I think she would thrive with the unit study approach. Can you provide any insight on the Bible portion of this curriculum? I know you do your own Bible stuff in the morning, and I believe we are very alike in our faith. We use KJV to teach out of at church, and I’m wondering if there is memory verses in the curriculum that I could just swap out for our version or if you leave noticed anything that would make that a challenge. Sorry this got so long! But thanks for reading it and sharing your family with us!
Hi Myshelle! For most of the levels, you could look up the Bible verses in KJV and copy them that way. For pre-reader and early reader, they always trace the verses, so it’s in a difference version. At first I considered writing them out elsewhere, but ultimately I decided that I don’t mind them copying not KJV verses. We still memorize out of the King James during our Bible time. So any copy work that’s not, we haven’t made a big deal out of it. 😊 Other than the copywork, any Bible references you usually look up for yourself.
Super fun! I still have 3 of my wisdom teeth. My teen girls got their wisdom teeth removed last December. One of them actually had a 5th wisdom tooth which they said is kind of rare.
Mama to Five I know! I thought it was really weird. On top of that, she also had one of her canine teeth that never came in properly, and was embedded in her gums so she had a total of 6 teeth cut out. Her recovery time took longer than her sister’s. It was rough!
Your family is seriously so sweet and well behaved. I loved seeing how you do GR. Do you think it’s enough as far as LA and spelling? How long will the unit last you? I’m not sure my kids would do all that... but my oldest is only 7 ;)
Yes! I think it’s enough...I’m curious to see results after a few months in, and we may possibly add more spelling. Each unit has 20 lessons. We typically have completed 2-3 lessons a week. 😊
I loved your DITL with Gather Round. This is what I picture doing with my 4 one day... I love the idea of them all gathered around learning about the same thing but on their level.
Yes! It has been such a good fit for us ❤️
Thank you for doing this collab with me, friend!!! We haven't done the Human Body unit yet, but I cant wait!!!!😍💗
I never thought of using the dictionary app! Thanks for sharing that! Your video is very well put together! ❤
You’ll love this unit!! And YES the dictionary app is perfect...on the computer, but not just searching the internet!
Loved getting an inside look!
So glad!! 😊
We loved the Human Body unit.
Yes!! So interesting 😊
Thanks for DITL of Gather Round!!! I love your videos and the realness you bring!!! Please keep these coming!!!
Thank you! ❤️
This was a great video to watch! We’re really enjoying gather round for our family too xx thank you for sharing xx
So glad you’re enjoying it too!! 😊

Thanks for sharing that you do a lesson in 2 days! I had expected this unit to last us 6 weeks, but it’ll definitely last at least 8. 😊
Great seeing a day of work. I really like the flow of the curriculum. Thanks for sharing.
The flow has worked very well for us. Thank you!
I enjoy Jamie's channel as well. So thankful for you gals.
She’s the sweetest! I’m thankful that you’re here! ❤️❤️
I loved your lesson. I love the multi level instruction you are doing!!!
Yes! Me too 😊
We are doing the human body unit study at the moment. We don’t complete a lesson in a day either. We use the dictionary app as well
Human body is on our plan for later this year! Thanks for sharing!
Oh you’ll love it! 😊
Loved seeing your GA lesson Julie, I find it to be a juggling act with my kiddos and 3 levels lol but still so fun 😊.
Yes! It is a lot, but any curriculum is, and I find dividing my time between the kids with this curriculum is much simpler 😊
The more I hear about This Gather Round curriculum, the more I want to try it! Thanks for the inspo, mama!💗
Thanks so much!! ❤️

5 wisdom teeth! Never heard of that one...that’s wild! 😊

Curious- do you do every subject every day? Or just do 2 or 3 subject a day?
And what do you use for math?
My kids can eat sour cream by the spoonful too 🙈😆 Love your videos!
Haha too funny!! 😂 My kids love eating butter 😬
Wonder were u been?😉
