Very interesting. I wonder how this projector would compare to the Phillips Picopix Max, especially in brightness and color quality. While Philips claims 800 "led lumens", projectorcentral and projectorreviews measured an ANSI rating of around 180/250/340. I can imagine the contrast being worse. While WEWATCH says 230 in ANSI, I don't 100% trust that because it's not a third-party ANSI measurement.
V50 should have 300 ANSI Lumens. WEWATCH declares lower value. Colour wise, it can't fight DLP with 45% NTSC only. Anyway, you should compare PPM with WEMAX Dice @ ua-cam.com/video/-tq9Yt2GOXw/v-deo.html

Hello Jayce, I just sold my Vankyo V630 and I'm oscillating between buying the wewatch v50 + xiaomi 4k stick combo and the lenovo l5 as upgrades. I can get the v50+the stick for 185USD while the lenovo l5 would be 273USD. Hi! I was going to buy this Wewatch v50, but then went for another projector in roughly the same price range (wanbo x2) to get a 4-corner keystone, so I can put it on the side and not straight on. However, I'm not happy at all with the keystone, as it seems like it digitally distorts the image, and it's pixelated and you lose quality. Are all 4-corner keystones limited this way!? In that case, it seems like I should just get this v50 after all, since you said it's good with the Nintendo Switch...
hello, thanks for the very detailed video, I just have a query regarding the quality / durability of these projectors... the truth is I don't have much budget and this is the most I can buy, but it would be my first projector and I just want it to watch movies, the use would be very occasional some days but during the weekends I easily watch 2 or 3 movies... will I have a problem with this projector? Will it last me a couple of years maybe?
Bought the projector thanks to your recommendation! I have having difficulty screen mirroring to Netflix and Disney+. Works perfectly for UA-cam. But for app like Netflix, it will not show the video but just a black screen with the play button and the title. Audio will still play perfectly. No issue navigating the home page of Netflix
Do you recommend this projector for music visuals in low-budget concerts? Like bars and in-door stages with lights turned off, nothing too fancy, just to accompany the perfomance of the artist, don't have to overshadow the show

Hello Jayce, I bought wewatch v50 after watching your review. I received today and tested it. There are two things I noticed 1st when I play movie there are some white spot during dark scenes.. it's not many and not noticeable when scene it bright I do not know if the small white spots are normal even if I wipe the lens it does not go away. 2nd my unit does not have the panorama and point to point option at aspec ratio menu unlike your unit that you reviewed at youtube. wewatch is good except for the issues I found in my unit.
@@jayceooi , wewatch technician gave instruction on how to clean the lens I followed but sadly the white spots does go away. Maybe I received a lemon unit.

Already bought this v50 yesterday and i got so dissapointed coz i think i got a lemon unit. Theres a lot of bright spot pixels or stocked pixels in the Lcd, then the res setting at 1080p 60hz is having a screen tearing problem, but at 1080p 50hz and below has no issue.

Overall performance. Price is a very important factor too. For $120, V50 is a really attractive budget 1080p projector for overall usage.

No problem. As long as you don't overheat it, should be fine.

There are two things I noticed 1st when I play movie there are some white spot during dark scenes.. it's not many and not noticeable when scene it bright I do not know if the small white spots are normal even if I wipe the lens it does not go away. 2nd my unit does not have the panorama and point to point option at aspec ratio menu unlike your unit that you reviewed at youtube. wewatch is good except for the issues I found in my unit.
Dust on LCD panel is normal for budget projector.
Firmware version might be the same.
Both issues can be solved by contacting WEWATCH Support.
@@jayceooi , wewatch technician gave instruction on how to clean the lens I followed but sadly the white spots does go away. Maybe I received a lemon unit.

@@federicosecci8499 V50 does not support side throwing. You need projector with 4-way keystone correction. But better don't use it for the best image quality.

Already bought this v50 yesterday and i got so dissapointed coz i think i got a lemon unit. Theres a lot of bright spot pixels or stocked pixels in the Lcd, then the res setting at 1080p 60hz is having a screen tearing problem, but at 1080p 50hz and below has no issue.
