@@morphman21 , They sold it back in 1982-83 to a guy in indiana just the frame , I think the cammer engine was sold to george montgomery racing and is in a museum car . Dennis and his son recently found the tractor and bought it back no motor .
Legends Series was started a few years ago. Features tractors that ran back in the 70's and 80's. Several of the tractors you see in the video are well known from their era in pulling.
@@EEPPULLINGVIDEOS I was just wondering, how would you go about getting the tractor pull competition down here in Mobile Alabama if the managing office were to agree to come to Mobile? They used to come here often...but it's been a while since I got to see tractor pull competition. Much love from Mobile Alabama.
Originally, 300ft was the full pull in the sport. Then we seen 310ft & 320' become the norm. It varies by organization but the "floating finish line" has really become popular. Here with East Coast, IF the rare occasion happens that we determine a full pull line it is usually 320ft.
My uncle Jim Wilson owned the original The Little American with the 427 cammer ford engine , Dennis wilson my cousin was the pilot .
Do they still own the tractor?

Spirit of 76 was the hot ride of the night.
My favorite ones are the ones that you would actually see doing work in the crop fields during the day but by night their breaking records.
I have some of them.....stay tuned Jordan!
Late to the party 👍's up guys thanks for taking us along with you
Is the tractor at 2:44 a v12 Allison engine?
Tank Engine, not an Allison
@@EEPPULLINGVIDEOS is that a packered ?
@@morphman21 it may be. I will have to check
What's the history on the series and what makes theses vehicles legends?

Tinha que trazer pro Brasil uma etapa desse nível!!
Tractor at min 2:42 What engine is that to have 4 exhaust stacks ?
It has reverse flow heads, the intakes are on the outside and the exhaust is in the middle
Still a weird setup
It’s actually 2 exhaust and 2 intake. The 2 outer ones are mounted to the carbies. It’s a tank engine.
At min 7:33 two small v8's or v6's ?
i think 2 Ford V8s. not sure
It looks like whoever has the longest header tubes wins
Stock engines?
Nice
Thank you!
What does running a floating finish mean?
Floating finish means pull it as far as she'll go!!
There is no full pull line. So even if they go over 300 then they measure it. No need for a pull off
Sounds like "Little American is running a built up small block.
Hi Mike its a 429 BBF mill . Nothing even close to the original 427 sohc cammer in its hey day .
How far is a full pull???
400 feet? 500 feet? How far???

Lot of what history?
Over the years, most of the legends in the sport of tractor pulling from local and national circuits have went down the track at The Buck
