Yomi Yori is Very insane, but not QUITE as hard as it looks, still incredibly difficult tho. looking to upload a cover of this pretty soon.

Fr, ICDD is amazing, they are specialists at blending different metal genres. And rib:y(uhki), the vocalist, is one of the best screamers in metal, his range is insane. He does both the screams and cleans, except that in Uta there is the female singer along with him.
Also, ICDD's songs take place in the fictional world of Taihaisekai. That probably explains the untranslated terms in quotes, they are probably related to that world.
ICDD is an amazing band and i think that the untranslated terms in their songs are because of a fictional laungage they made for the fictional world that the songs take place in. it's kinda cool actually
On the 2nd Album, there was another vocalist who is Hellnear although he disbanded from the band around sometime in 2014?

HELL YEA this is one of my favorite orchestral death metal bands (the other then fleshgod apocolypse) and as a rhythm game player i have emense joy whenever someone new discovers this band.
I've been listenning to this band for the past 8 years, still listenning to them daily. They are soooo underrated man !
I've seen a lot of reaction to rap, metal, pop etc... and you're the best at it great analysis and retrospect. Props🙏
icdd guitar track are built different , they have some beginner friendly riff and wtf solos

You need to listen to their newest album MOGARI, it has a lot of remakes of their old songs and amazing new songs especially Tensei (the last song in the album)
yomi yori and fushoku ressentiment are some of their craziest songs and I'm sure you would love them
From more of symphonic metal in their early days to modern melodeath now.
Its great to have these response videos cause I feel like I found the best band in the world, with players that have technical ability that put them in the top of the world, with emotional lyrics and somehow can even make death metal wholesome, and no one I know will want to listen to this type of music.
There is absolutely no other band like ICDD in the world.
BTW you can check Shuhei Kamada's channel, it proves the drummer is actually human, its hard to believe but its true.

Quite late but I must say: The growls and cleans are both done by rib:yuhki, their main vocalist. Also there are not two vocalists you hear, It's just him (they use quite a lot of vocal layering)

This band is absolutely fucking bonkers😂 I stumbled across them a couple of years ago and unfortunately most of my death metal friends don't like it but whatever they are one of my favorite bands hands down
As much as i love their songs, but these lyrics are just never what i expect, and i don't agree with their ideology unless i misunderstand it. If they sing about conflict, then i don't agree that conflict always happens because of 2 powers being against each other in any way. There are just such beings who do what they do, and there is not even a concept of changing their mind, leaving only the option to oppose them. Peace is only possible if they have any ideals whatsoever, but not if they simply attack because that's what they are meant to do, because they are just devil-like. It's so hard to put into words what i know from my experience, and i'm obviously not speaking about some regular people with regular mindset there. That's just something you probably won't see in your life.
Remember that their song lyrics have stories and can be from a perspective of a character. Not specifically ideology. I'm not sure about how good this translation is and I'd have to go translate the japanese lyrics myself to be sure but I think the point here is simply that humans cannot truly understand each other, and that will bring conflict between them. But despite that, you should live your life believing and striving for what you think is right. It's quite a positive song and the point isn't conflict or peace, it's taking control of your own life.
