If he called him Mr president it wouldn't be genuine. Plus, this approach seemed to allow Barack to open up a little more. I imagine that when you always have everyone you meet on your nuts its refreshing to meet someone who is just being normal.

I think it's interesting the way Barack talks. He talks with so much dignity and respect, he has a strong voice and a lot of intelligence. Very much one of the more better Presidents we have had.

Steve Harvey has been the fiercest Obama supporter. I'm glad he got to interview Obama, well deserved. I'm a harsh critic of Obama but I still respect him as an honorable man.

This is an excellent interview. Great insight into the President and his family life. The part about teaching a teen to drive really hit home.
I must say that was very refreshing to see two influential prominent African American men having a mature, intelligent and fun conversation type interview. Something Bill O'Reilly absolutely failed on when he interviewed the President.

I love the way steve sets the tone. These are two dudes with deep respect for each other. It is also clear that at the beginning each is not so sure of how to treat the other. President Obama is quite careful. But soon they flow, relaxed. This is just great.
President Obama is also enjoying those are moments when you can just relax and have a dude's conversation without thinking of those Talibans, AlQaedas and Bombs. So beautiful.

One thing I will always say is that Obama is the only president of my generation that I feel that acts and truly feel he is someone approachable and real
I think Bush, whatever you think of a guy was extremely authentic. I saw him on Kimmel and Ellen and basically he behaves same as you can imagine him being at home. He is also hilarious. I think this is why people voted for him, same for Obama. Likeability. Unfortunately in both cases, there was bad jugment and with Obama- lack of exec. Exec. experience

@@ekimandersom4478 did you read what I said? I said he was authentic and had, as Obama likeability- meaning people cpuld relate on personal level, both had calmness and humour to them. If you met both in a bar and they were not public figures, you probably would think they are nice. I think actually same with Clinton, Trump for that matter. That’s why people vote for them. Hillary for instance was uptight and didn’t have same ‘ease’ as her hubby.
You can seperate personality with their abilities to lead and work skills. Both Obama and Bush made tremendous mistakes. Obama probably worse as he hadn’t learnt anything from his predecessor’s mistakes.
