I was 6 years old having not even known what Harry Potter was and having parents just divorced. I would watch your videos for hours on end on my grandmas tablet. I am 14 now and you guys were my way of figuring out my sexuality and later my gender. I thank you for giving me a outlet to leave the world of pain I was in at such a young age. You guys are part of the reason I survived and I am in your dept. Like this little poem we learned in class,
Natures first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower,
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief.
So dawn goes down to day,
Nothing gold can stay.
Nothing that we love can always stay forever, everything changes to something new.
We may want that pain bandaged, but really all we have to say is "Mischief Managed."

I started following you guys when i was just 13 years old coming into my own, now im 19 and just started my second year of college!! Thank you all for being my company and giving me comfort in times i needed it, and all without knowing so. I wish you all the best in life and whatever you choose to do moving forward, ill always be cheering you on in the background
I found your channel in 2020 and it got me through the crazy difficult time of the pandemic. I absolutely loved your skits and your characters and the LGBTQ positivity theme of all of your skits that was sorely lacking in the books. I’m very sad that your channel is over but I understand and respect your decision not to continue it. Thank you for filling us in on what you had planned for your unfinished skits. And also thank you for giving the Harry Potter fandom such a gift. I particularly love your DDWD series because I love Drarry. I wish you the best of luck with your creative projects moving forward, whatever those may be (and in the meantime at least we have Matti’s streams on Twitch to look forward to). I just discovered your channel a couple months ago, but I've really fallen in love with your interpretations of the characters and how Draco and Harry could've gotten together in 6th year onwards. I'm lowkey obsessed with the idea of writing a fic similar to the plotline of Detentions with Dumbledore, but now hearing your plans about 8th year and Harry's Master of Death stuff is also such a fascinating addition to that idea... anyway, thank you for being amazing at what you do and providing a welcoming space and stories :)
The only thing we can do now is get you guys to 200k, because that's what you really deserve. ❤❤❤
Not me getting all emotional as well 😭God, I can't believe it's been years. I remember teenage me being so excited to see a new video, anxiously awaiting the chance to watch a new one. Since the last video came out I've been on a little nostalgia trip rewatching all the old stuff, and watching it all unfold... I'm going to miss this. Though my love for hp has been tainted, I will always hold these videos dear to me. I wish you all all the best for the future
I think draco got long hair because look at harry! He's got lots of beard! And draco doesn't wanna be left behind but he found out that he looked like an old man with white beard. So he decided to grow out his hair just to match the vibe- like keep up with harry 😂

Oh my heart 😭 I really am tearing up, I loved your guys' work so so much. If I was a good writer I would continue these storylines and maybe create new ones but I second guess myself often which makes me lost my motivation for a lot of things and I wouldn't want these new angles to become another one of my abandoned projects because this is just to precious to me. With all of that said I really can't wait to see what other people come up with, I would love to be sent links and whatnot. And on a side note the ending is actually what made the waterworks start because it brought back so many of my memories of you all, all at once. I will miss you and your work so much. What an odd coincidence! I just started rewatching all of these videos a week or so ago for the first time in a few years. I first discovered this channel through your casting moonshadows videos (another Harry Potter story I will miss and always hold fondly in my heart), but detention with dumbledore is one of the most well made series to come out of the Harry Potter fandom. It has definitely inspired me, and I might take up the offer to write some of these stories :)
I was up rewatching detentions with dumbledore just last night! So you can imagine my joy when I saw they'd posted today :D
Oh wow, I cannot. First of all, obviously you have spectacular ideas and I may or may not try to include Draco as a queer guide in my Teddy Lupin story (but you’ll get credits, of course) but like. Carl being the reincarnation of Merlin… o wow, you don’t understand, I currently have a sMaLl obsession with BBC Merlin and wow, just, Carl is his reincarnation!? I really didn’t see that coming! In my Teddy Lupin story it focuses more on the idea of Merlin not being able to die and he’s basically the new History of Magic teacher.
I still can’t really believe this channel is going to stop, it’s been such a comfort and safe space to me and so many others for such a long time. But it makes sense, I understand why you’ll stop and I’m not disappointed or angry or anything, it might be time for me as well to move on from the HP world, in a way, because I’m trying to focus more on the books and stories out there that are canonically queer and trans.

I’ve always loved Carl as a character and I’m kinda IN LOVE with the “he’s actually super powerful” story line… I might never do a femme!Carl cosplay 👀
For years, whenever I thought about the marauders I pictured the four of you. Your Peter was my comfort person, I strongly identified with your Sirius, your Remus was my idol, and your James was my hero. I'm currently rewriting and continuing a fanfiction about the marauders I started when I was 14. Your stories inspired me to start writing my own (in which I included some storylines I had seen on your channel), your amazing teamwork made me start my own little cosplay group as well, and your queer view on things helped me figure out my own identity and be comfortable in it. So thank you for everything. You really did change lifes.

i actually cried... i cant believe this is it! your videos have always brought me so much comfort and happiness! i still rewatch them again and again even though i know most of them by heart by now! you guys are my safe place! and i cant thank you enough for creating all of those amazing things, fun videos and a different harry potter universe which i now happily consider canon over the original! thank you so so much!

I can't believe that there won't be anymore videos. I grew up here and I always re-watch your stories when I'm sad. I remember working Sqaud into my own HP role play back in 2020 2021 and I just have so many happy and sad memories. You guys had me glued to my screen. As time goes on people change and I understand that. It is something you learn when you grow up on yt. A lot of creaters I've watched stopped making story related content and I won't be able to find others that do what you guys do. This was a special thing and no one else can do these stories justice
That is true, your videos have helped us to believe in the characters and no one can do justice to their stories when I was sad I saw a video and it was enough to make me feel better thank you for all and I will support you as a viewer and thank you very much for bringing smiles even though everything paint badly in life they are a light at the end of the tunnel and have a good life and thank you very much for everything
I'm considering writing at least a little because I've loved all your stories, and with Carl, I like the idea of Carl ISN'T a chosen one, simply powerful, but Harry sees his strength and worries, and that compounds with his fear that Draco is up to something, making him paranoid similar to how he was in book 6. The breaking point (the wand fight in the bathroom equivalent) is when Harry sees Draco talking to Carl, offering him advice on something relating to S.Q.U.A.D, but he can't hear that from the distance he's at. He confronts Draco, demanding to know what he's plotting and eventually Draco just comes out to him to get him to stop. Harry stops short, sputters for a bit, then runs, and he's not sure why that information impacts him so much. Draco feels dejected, upset that Harry still sees him as the conniving bully he was.
I really love this idea!!

So when i first saw Carl getting that poster down i didnt think much of it but after i watched the video more and more i got more and more curious on what was going on there, then i started thinking, what family does he come from becuase there was something in his blood that wasnt "normal" or maybe he knew spells that no one else knew because his family teach him them before school. So hearing this was your plan/idea with him is just amazing!🌹
It’s so interesting to hear where the stories might have gone. I’ve loved every one of these series, I’m even considering writing little additions based on the ideas you guys were maybe going for, even if only for myself. I thought that the clarification about Carl was amazing, I thought he was gonna be more powerful that we knew but I never would have guessed to that extent. And with Draco’s hair, I personally loved his new hair. (It looks a lot like my own now lol) I saw it as a way of showing that he’s in control of himself now while still remembering where he came from, even if he didn’t always want to. Or maybe it wasn’t even intentional. While it can be like a right of passage to becoming an adult, being able to make your own decisions for example, but in a way expressing yourself and controlling how you present yourself to those around you. So for Draco I saw it as him experimenting with who he is, instead of being precise and strict with his appearance, maybe he decided to try something new since he was able to afford to now.
I’m really sad to see this chapter end, you guys have been such a comfort to me when I had none. You’ve helped me realize that it’s ok to be myself and to never apologize for it. You guys showed me it’s ok to be proud of myself. And for that I’ll forever be grateful.

no but joks aside, ive been watching since early pandemic (may 2020?) and this channel was the one reason I got into hp : ( its so crazy looking back to younger me watching these on my bed thinking that because you guys've done all this for so long means that you wont stop in the near future. move forward to late 2022/early 2023 & turns out what I thought was the impossible turned possible. i do hope you'll come to making more videos soon, and I dont even care of hp content I just need things that connect more to you all personally than the characters. i hope this wont be the last goodbye and surely not the last time we'll solemnly swear that we are up to no good :)
I saw the notification for this video the day it came out and it has taken me until today to finally watch it and really acknowledge how much I had been avoiding it. And honestly really properly acknowledge how hard it really has gotten to put energy into Harry Potter any more. I went to universal California a couple weeks ago and walked through their mini Harry Potter world for the first time and just really struggled to bring excitement to it and it kinda resulted in both me and my fiancée speedrunning that section of the park and not even trying any of food or drinks which would have been unthinkable for me 5 years ago. The nostalgia for fan-content is definitely still there and probably always will be. It’s all twinged with sadness now but it’s definitely much better than I can really muster for canon Harry Potter now which is really just anger and exhaustion unfortunately.
Robin mentioning that he wants to stick with the squad stuff like irl makes me feel better about wanting to keep my squad and hex the haters pins on my pinboard that i bring to school and occasionally on bags etc when i move other over
I first found y’all’s channel when I was 12 or 13 and I’m sixteen now, i loved Harry Potter but I love y’all’s portrayal of drarry out of everything I’ve read/watched. Y’all match their characters so well and find ways to develop them in the exact way I imagined them too. Sucks that y’all can’t continue with this channel but it’ll be there to rewatch

When I saw the video posted, I was soo excited! The first ever video that I watched from your channel was 1977. Hogsmede. I was super sad when you guys told that the chanel was gonna stop. The way that the stories might've gone, and the fact we can never see it get acted out was just-
I was 13 when I found the channel, and now I'm 16 (almost 17). I'll never forget this wonderful channel, that made me laugh and cheered me up when I felt down. I'll keep watching your old videos (just like I do now) cause' I have a hard time leaving things behind.

I love the ideas with eighth year, I wonder if part of why Draco growing out his hair to seem more adult to him was some of that internalized way he used to respect his father... like that's who he looked up to growing up and saw himself as trying to reflect that but even though his opinions of his father changed, his ideas of what it meant to appear more grown up did not. Also you guys are own of my comfort creators and I will continue to rewatch your videos ♡
Thank you truly. I found this channel three years ago and though that doesn’t seem too long it truly became a huge part of my life. Your channel helped me when I was struggling to figure out my own identity as a queer individual. Watching your videos made me feel seen and represented as an individual in so many ways and truly made such a positive impact on my life. I've also considered and planned writing stories similar to yours, because I've absolutely loved all of your ideas and all of your stories. You guys did such an amazing job with portraying Draco and Harry throughout all your video's with the detention with Dumbledore series and never have I ever, most likely to, Lego Harry Potter, Harry's confusing crushes, professor potter's new clothes, the chapstick challenge, be my valentine, and other videos of the two of them during their struggles with finding who they truly are and who they truly wanted to be. It was very interesting to see how Harry and Draco slowly grew closer together throughout the entire thing. I loved how they finally realized that they were able to live the lives they wanted without having anybody to tell them how to live it. I've always loved the idea of your detention video's. I found them really clever and fun. It was a really cool idea. I've actually been coming back to your old video's recently because I've missed you all so much. And they were all just excellently put together. I was so sad to hear that this was the end. I would have loved to see how more of your stories would have evolved. It makes me so sad that we're never going to see them. But I am truly happy and forever thankful for all of your videos they've really made me happy. You both work so well together and I wish you both much luck and health in the near future ahead of you. I love you guys so much! I do have a small question, with the Lego harry series, I know that it was only a small side filler story from detentions with Dumbledore series. How would you have played that series from where u left it? the last episode of that game showed Ron kind of comforting Draco and in his own way help Draco see things from Harry's point of view. how do u think you would have played it from there? also how was Ron able to get into the Slytherin common room? did he just remember the password from second year and it hadn't been changed? I know this mini side series I guess probably wasn't a priority but I'm still curious

I would like to thank each and every one of you for the incredible videos you created over the years and if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have found myself on who I really am and I subscribed to the channel over 5 years ago and I was only 20 back then and now I am 25 witch is crazy. It's sad that it has come to an end but you guys are doing your best and we will all try and keep not just your stories of Harry Potter but others as well. I thought that Carl was going to bring Annabel out with Maximus as all three of them wear going to one of the S.Q.U.A.D meets and help Vicky out in any way they can and stop the bullying that Wagner had with students outside of S.Q.U.A.D and be by their side even if they did get detention from headmistress McGonagall. Harry would of also be proud of Ginny for finding someone who likes her for who she is and that being Luna also Ginny with Harry in that way too with Draco and Harry saying after Draco cuts his hair. "I liked you with long hair as you felt more like an adult then a child and I love you because of it." For now until whenever do your best whatever that may be and Mischief Managed.
