Hi! Do you mean the black and orange thingie? It's one of those tools to clean windows. It has a handle, and then on one side there's the black rubber wiper thing, and on the other side, the orange part is a sponge. www.halfords.nl/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/1412.5x/bbb5b0ec49b4599a68be0496df15ef2c/5/4/5445a.png
@@HR77ZL yeah, just that. I couldn't identify it. I'm always searching for things to improve my dyane. It has been with me since 1999, and I bought it from the first owner, who got it on December 1980.
These engines thrive on revs so no worries about being in a lower gear except for noise and fuel consumption! However, do you have bad shock absorbers on the passenger side?
It's a 1972, imported from France by previous owner, with centrifugal clutch. It has frotteurs instead. The video is taken a few days after I was finally able to drive it around after fixing all kinds of stuff. Finally! . The Dyane has been treated very well in the last two years, so don't spend too much time on this excerpt from the past, just enjoy. ;-)
My very first car was a '82 Dyane 6, I drove it for 10 years (1998-2008) while being a student, and I had to use it for everything in summer, winter, with passengers, towing a trailer full of stuff... Trying to find out how to reduce fuel usage as much as possible, because I had no money. My youtube user id is the licene plate of that car, HR-77-ZL. So, 10 years after leaving the remains of that one at the scrap yard (2008), after stripping everything usable off, I finally found another one, which is even 10 years older, and now it's more of a hobby and trying to preserve it as best as I can, and having fun enjoying the views in the Dutch countryside while driving. It took a few rides to dig up the muscle memory (first go to second gear before 1st, etc)...
@@HR77ZL Ah yes, friction dampers. Did you keep the centrifugal clutch? Not a bad idea in traffic. I had a Dyane back in the 80's for about 9 months while my 1977 Scirocco was being rebuilt. I very much enjoyed it. It's a bit more hilly in the UK so it did struggle at times! No such problems in Nl. I'd have another.
There are no shock absorbers. :) It's a 1972 Dyane with frotteurs and batteurs. And yes, that can 'dance' a bit more than newer shock absorbers would allow.
Je me demande où cela se trouve. C‘est à la campagne et pourtant il ne l'est pas. Partout des ralentisseurs, des limitations de vitesse et des routes rétrécies, tant de maisons et de piétons. Le conducteur n'aime pas changer les vitesses.
A very nice ride, congratulations 👍🏻
Nice ride! Ik rij deze route ook vaak. Prachtig stukje!
Thanks for your ride, I felt like if I was driving there, My dream is having a dyane 6. I`d like to feel how that bouncing feels while driving

Nice Dyane... But what is that thing you have just at the right of the gear change lever?
