I found all these midi settings following you video and i assign each track .with a different midi channel but it still only plays one channel of the same sound even when i switch tracks with different instruments on them .
Thanks so much for this....very helpful and thorough. Would you consider doing a vid on the setup of multiple keyboards and controllers? The send to / receive from fields combined with the multiple device selections for the same device causes some confusion. For example, what if I wanted to attach an Arturia MKII keyboard/controller , a PreSonus Atom pad/controller and a Nektar LX25 keyboard/controller. Deciding how each should be setup (ports, channels, etc) is a bit hit and miss at the moment. Thanks again!
Hey TMac. I actually only have one controller, so I wouldn't really be able to do a proper video showing how to set up and route multiple devices at a time. But I do have a video were I discuss the concept and go into depth on the MIDI routing within Studio One, here: ua-cam.com/video/qMQq9CPWZdI/v-deo.html Hope this helps.
I have struggled with midi routing in Presonus since adding Kontakt. I should have checked out your channel a long time ago; all other videos seemed to be about connecting a midi device; creeps, that's the easy part! Thanks again for a complete answer with a ton of options in using Presonus Studio 1!
Do you have a video on routing MIDI data on one track to an effect VST on another track? I would like to know how to route a MIDI track to something like AutoTune or the Antares harmonizer to use the MIDI data to guide those plugins.
Hello! When I am dragging Impact , it doesn't appear the "All inputs" option. It shows only the Impact option. Do you have any idea why does this happen?
Is there a way to use my QWERTY keyboard like a MIDI Keyboard? I tried to set it as an external controller from one of your videos but didn't work for some reason!
If you mean can you use it to generate midi notes to trigger your instrument then yes. If you got it setup in the External Devices area of Studio one, you should be able to hit your CAPS-LOCK key on your computer keyboard while you have an instrument loaded and the QWERTY keys will generate notes. You might also try to set it as your default keyboard (in the External Devices edit page)
I want to route MIDI data from 16 MIDI channels to 1 Kontakt VST track and then route the sound to 16 Kt.Stereo tracks. How can I do this? I come from Reaper where routing is very intuitive.
Oh WOW 😮 I thought PreSonus didn't have Internal MIDI Channels for it's own VSTi's, but now I see Studio One does all this time 😂. Now the Million Dollar question is: Will PreSonus make Presence XT Editor, Impact XT & SampleOne XT a multi-timbal instrument so we can assign each sound, sample, and pad to it's own MIDI Channel in Studio One? 🤔
Does anyone know how to route multiple vst instruments to a single midi track. Like I want to have a lead with 5 different vst's but I don't want to have 5 different midi tracks for that. I just want to control all 5 vst with one midi track 🙂🙂

Dear lord, thanks!!! Split Channels on the controller was what I needed. Had me going insane, thanks SO much!
OMG!! Thank you so much!!!! I've been working on a problem for days and you totally solved it for me!
This is the tutorial i was looking for, thx a lot!!
It's looking real sharp!
Isn't it! I'm blown away by the improvement in quality... and actually embarrassed to look at my old videos! Hahaha...
Thank you so much. Was able to solve an issue I was having. I didn't have both tracks armed. lol
Cool. Glad to hear you were able to resolve things. Thanks for watching and taking a moment to leave a comment.

Excellent.
I have a m audio oxygen 49 and I'm having trouble separating impact along with keyboard side of the device
it's easy to get to work on an instrument track, but how the hell do you send it to a vst track that has vocals (antares auto tune)

they make this shit so complicated still trying to get this to work

Funny, I can't get my controller to trigger ANYTHING through midi into studio one, let alone multiple devices
fuck this, why can't i route between tracks????????????????? why doesn't loop midi work?????????????? I'm switching to reaper
Good luck with that.
