    The Pocari commercials are so well made and look like they were so much fun to make! I wish I was a part of that.

      It's like they keep raising the bar in terms of scale too! I thought the one last year in the empty pool was the top but they just keep getting cooler.

      I bought one of those pens for my dad for Christmas from a Japanese store. They're erasable. Which makes their ads (where they're fixing mistakes) just perfect.

    Could someone explain word jokes in 3 ads of Pilot Frixon please?

    • @toomtam_mario
      @toomtam_mario 6 років тому

      Wow! Big thanks to you! Anyway, I'm looking forward to someone explain the first one. But thank you so much for your detailed explanation.

    • @alblgz
      @alblgz 6 років тому +7

      In the first one she erases 牛 (cow) and writes 午 (noon). Then the last kanji in 一時羊 means "sheep", instead of 一時半 (half past one o'clock).

    • @LuvMusiclalala
      @LuvMusiclalala 6 років тому +6

      The first part: 「午」前 which means morning/before noon was miswritten as 「牛」 which means cow. The 3rd kanji is 休which means to take a break, hence the boss was taking a break with a cow.
      Right after it was supposedly the next day: what was supposed to be written as 一時「半」 (1:30) was written as 一時「羊」which means sheep, hence the sheep was there. 😆😁

    • @toomtam_mario
      @toomtam_mario 6 років тому +3

      +alblgz +LuvMusiclalala Super wow! I'm so thankful to you for your additional explanation! Just understood that in japanese little mistakes of writing can make another meaning. Thank you for helping. ^______^

    Ahh I might be wrong but it sounds like at the end of the kitsune udon commercial they say "from now on I'll be in your care" which is something couples, especially married ones, say to each other?!

      It's more like "next year too may things get well" or something like that , even while understanding , it's quite complicated to translated "yoroshiku onegai shimasu" :)

    • @alphaxfang
      @alphaxfang 6 років тому +3

      "yoroshiku onegai shimasu" is a common phrase in japan... it is used if you doing some sort of works with other people (coworker, teammate, other company, staff, etc)... there is no romantic implication in the terms, if you compare it to english term "honey" might be similar to some degree... if you use it in relationship context the usage will be romantic, but in everyday life it just a name for food...

      More than promotion, it relates to the story of Zahra Lari, a woman from the United Arab Emirates who was the first woman ever to try qualifiying for the 2018 Olympic Ice Skating Competition, wearing Hijab.
