This video entails detailed instructions and plans for wrapping pipes, hose bibs, fruit trees - both in ground and container, covering the in ground garden, and moving all container garden items to a safe location.
Thanks for watching ... and as always .... Get Outside and Do Something ... because if you don't - everything will freeze.

Beautiful plants. I hope you were able to save most of them.

I saved some. Others unfortunately didn’t make it. But I still had a pretty decent harvest. Thanks for watching and commenting.

You might want to look in to buying you a greenhouse or a greenhouse tent to cover your garden in the ground

I thought fig tree can handle the cold? I live in Texas, and the freeze didn't kill it.

They can handle some chill/freeze hours. But prolonged freezing weather will burn the ends and limbs. Root and base will make it and grow. Just will require some hard pruning back. And in Louisiana our freezing weather is often accompanied with freezing rain and ice on the limbs. I try to protect them as best I can, in order to get as many fruiting buds as possible. My experience in Texas, collard, kale, and brussle sprout can handle it. Mustards will go limp.snow peas can't handle it.nor swiss chard.

I had great luck with all listed except the Brussels. They didn’t really take off this year. Swiss chard in my zone can’t be stopped. Stuff grows hardy. Thanks for commenting and watching. Happy Growing

Nice fig trees. Looks like the fig trees grow very well in wicking tubs. How old are they?

All are 2-3 years old. The wicking tubs allow for air pruning. So it takes a long time for them to get root bound. And the fruit is always great, as the tree has constant access to water.

Thanks. What type of food are you feeding the fig trees and how often? I recently bought 2 one year olds fig trees and am rooting a few fig trees now. I am in Houston Texas. Good job.

I use a water soluble 20-20-20 down the fill pipe once a month. And use compost tea made from rabbit manure. And also a 10-10-10 or 13-13-13 just under the soil around the edge of the tub 2-3 times during growing season. When the tubs were built. I added a soil acidifier. A 5-4-3 called sustain. And a sea mineral.

Thanks. I appreciate the information. I have a lot to learn about fig trees. Can’t wait to make my first fig preserves. How have you fared with the cold weather. My plants in my garage look great but all my flowering plant out side are mush. Fortune most of them will grow back.

Plants are definitely stressed. I believe all fig trees will be ok. Blackberries I wont know until closer to spring. Some of my in ground plants look toast. Fingers crossed for best possible outcome.
