As soon as the emperor is assassinated, Wang played vs 3rd prince family. Later he used the latter to eliminate all of Wang. Then used sentiments to get 2nd prince' support only to be usurped. Now he again uses his last bet on Awu and her husband to get rid of 2nd prince. Similarly, all other characters played best to their capacity. It will be interesting to see when does Awu realizes that she is a mere pawn in the power game and starts acting like a Rebel Princess. So far it seems her husband is already aware of all the enemies' moves. He knows of the emperor too. But its Awu that has to realize that all bids are not what they seem to be.
He had her trust, he LOST it by admitting that. Seems counterproductive. Also his whole thing has been to get the Wang family, (Specifically his Empress) OUT of power, and... ~*spoilers~* He fails. The fact that annomosity he contributed to eventually has someone else succed, dose not exsactly point to a master plan.
It'll be the best drama, best actress, best cinemaphotography and best costume to list a few. Zhang zi-yi is the best! The leading actor was a bit lacking, seemed to be always in the similar mood, or move. all the royal mothers played well.

Now he wants to get back Awu’s trust in him because he know she is clever and he can use her . This is his last ditch . He’ll gamble with Awu. He is lucky his niece is so tender hearted . This tender heartedness in the end will put her and the Lord into trouble .

It made me hold onto the edge of my lounge, making a spare of the moment, to get the tiger tally and the edict to Xiao Qi, remembering what Xiao Qi had said Awu gave the tiger tally and edict to Huaien Song to deliver it to Xiao Qi, as poor General Song was caught by the rebels. Those 2 important Imperial edicts were taking off the rebels when General Wei was guarding the entry gates to the Capital lolz
