WOW!!!! This was FANTASTIC!!!!! Love the way you emphasized the tool… "Color Sampler" and then with selecting the color to match… using "command+shift" to get the point for R,G,B in the curves pallet. THAT WAS KEY!!!!! Your the BEST!!! Keep up the great work and hope you are doing well with your recovery.
What a great tutorial! Once again, I appreciate your tips on how to efficiently use some of the basic tools. For example, I was aware of the color sampler, but it never occurred to me how to use it in such a practical way. I love the +- shortcut. It reminds me that a few years ago I found out about the Backspace shortcut for the Lasso tool thanks to your videos.
Great technique! After trying many different tutorials, I found this one to be the best. This is so useful for me at work, and the only thing else I've found to be useful is, after matching the values to match the target tone, I do tweak the curves manually slightly, and I add a brightness/contrast, and hue/saturation adjustment layers if needed. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for the tutorial. How to you remove those two bullseye marks made by the colour sampling? They seem to be in every layer and I can't get them out.
Thank you for sharing such a great technique! By the way, working in the Lab color mode is a bit more manageable as we have to edit only two color channels.
I am creating gradient maps to match skin tones and saving them to apply to other photos, but this method looks to be quicker. Will have to compare the results. What is this quicker method you describe using 3DLC? I have used 3dlc in the past to create luts but Im wondering what is the process for matching skin tones that is faster than this method here?
If this is too much work for you, Photoshop is not for you. Really, to everyone learning, this is as simple as it gets. Plugins and the new smart filters are great, but basic techniques like this are fundamentals and if you rely too heavily on high level processes you're never going to get a handle on how this stuff really works. It really is amazing what you will start to see when you know what to look for and how to fix it.
Work smarter not harder. With 3DLC you’re creating LUTs and can apply it to a set of images with no need to mask, you can also correct/match by numbers inside the program, with tools much simpler to use ua-cam.com/video/NYzJXdpJDPU/v-deo.html
Great video. After I have set up the points on the each channel the output number for red (for example) does not match the samle color number and I can only enter values up to 100 not 255????
Use the "Curve Display Options" in the Properties panel to change the "Show Amount of:" option from "Pigment/Ink %" to "Light (0-255)" The number value was limited to 0-100 because it represents a percentage. Change it to "Light" value and you'll be good.
Hi I am a beginner, currently learning through tutorials from your channel Wanted to point out that, the videos posted before 2021-2020, doesn't have link to the image sources, so just provide the links, it will be helpful to go along with the tutorial.
Could you teach your students how we are able to create "Watercolor Art " , " Ink Manipulation " , "Liquid Effect" , "Advance Iconic Posterization" , " Text Portrait Poster " , " Hand Drawing " , " Oil Painting " , " Journal Art " , please?
The Cmd+Shift shortcut doesn't seem to work on my Mac to create a point on individual RGB channels. Instead, Photoshop tries to add a completely new sample. Help!
You shouldn't actually need a modifier key (must be an updated setting in newer versions of Photoshop), so just click like normal and the point should show up on all RGB layers.
Click on the color sampling too (the one you used to create the points in the first place), look up top at the bar below the "File/edit/selection" bar at the top of the page, and look for a tiny little box that says "Clear all points". 👌👌👍
Doesn't work for me...I sampled both colors but when I change the RGB numbers of the 2nd sampled pic to match the colors of the 1st sampled color it does nothing. It worked at first but doesn't work anymore I'm using Photoshop CS6 cracked version. Help! Lol thanks.

Fantastic - you got a new subscriber :)
amazing! can you do more skin toning tutorials similar like this?
Thank you;)
Color match by numbers 😍. To much work for me though, I’ll just use 3DLC color gradient matching feature 😊
Whatever works!

Great tutorials. Do you know how to remove the blue share button from the Photoshop options bar?
Great !! ⚡
Thanks
Sir what version of Photoshop are using?
And what are the requirements of laptop?
my eye dropper tool don't have same option like you have.
Good Job
Do you have a tut for changong skin color to blue or something for fantasy art?
Sorry for a probably stupid question but does this also work on layers with black and white images?
Great video. After I have set up the points on the each channel the output number for red (for example) does not match the samle color number and I can only enter values up to 100 not 255????
This is my problem too! Was hoping someone had mentioned a solution.

Thks bro
you are the best
Excellent as always. Do you recommend matching skin tones before or after frequency separate and D&B? Thanks.
Did you ever find out what is better to do first?
Curves is King
👍
what is the app name and were can i get it and is it free ?
Nice
awesome
Gracias. Saludo

Such a simple, tiny ask. Why not ask for something a little broader and more complicated? 🙄
It would be nice for slow learners to have written instructions as sometimes it is hard to follow a video when actually trying to do an edit!
Usually I just pause and proceed with the command explained.
Yeah pause and rewind. You can also reduce the speed of video
Can I apply these technique in more than one photo, Like Marriage photos
Awesome thanks. ...anyway i tried with same pictures with "match colors" and the result is about the same.
How can you match skin tone for videos?
The Cmd+Shift shortcut doesn't seem to work on my Mac to create a point on individual RGB channels. Instead, Photoshop tries to add a completely new sample. Help!
You shouldn't actually need a modifier key (must be an updated setting in newer versions of Photoshop), so just click like normal and the point should show up on all RGB layers.
Can you tell me this ps version????
It came out great but I can't seem to get rid of the sample eyedropper markers 🤔
Click on the color sampling too (the one you used to create the points in the first place), look up top at the bar below the "File/edit/selection" bar at the top of the page, and look for a tiny little box that says "Clear all points". 👌👌👍
