Parwati Dutta has been presenting Dhrupadāngi since the 1990s and this name is given by her to this revived form which is an outcome of her research and training.She performs Dhrupadāngi not as a pre-choreographed dance piece, but as a flowing together of 2 rivers : Dhrupad Gayan and Dhrupad Nritya; a spontaneous journey with the Dhrupad-Pakhawj idiom .
