Thankyou for sharing this I just recently purchased a mold and am finding that it's much more cost effective to learn this technique making ur own. Lol. Thanks
Nice! And thanks for showing us your tips, tricks, & special jigs. On the forward Marabou collar, you are essentially "palmering" the Marabou, correct? Thanks again. Going to tie up some of these before my next trip to the Washington State coast...
Where do you get all your Material from I’ve just got started with tying but I’ve got some big orders going out I need to get more material to be able to mass produce
Looks Amazing! I'm just starting out and wondering where i can find some of those hooks. I can't seem to find them without the molded barb thing. If you could give me the name or a website it would help a ton. Thanks!
You can find the hooks, raw unpainted jig heads and finished painted ones with our proprietary process on our website at www.JoelsJigs.com. If you are wanting the molds the you can do a simple search in Yahoo or google for them and plenty will pop up. Do-It Molds have the largest and most useful selection. Keep in mind though that if you want a hook like you see here or similar heavier ones all molds will have to be "re-worked" to a certain point to accommodate the larger gauge hook. This is not an easy or quick process. If you have the proper tools and/or Dremel it can be done. It's time consuming and takes a lot of patience because any little slip when doing this will result in the mold being ruined and you have to start all over. We have many many many jig molds and we only use the highest quality and strongest hooks available so every single mold had to be "re-worked". Thanks for watching, JJ
rex jonhdeer The vise is a Griffin Superior 3ARP and I do sell them. Just email me through my website if you are wanting one. I have them for the lowest price too. they just aren't up on the site. www.JoelsJigs.com

I am new to fly tying. What is that dangling tool called you use to grip and wrap the thread?
Mike Guo It is called a thread bobbin. You can find these exact ones on www.JoelsJigs.com
What kind of vise was that? (brand wise) Also where do you get your marabou from? Thanks

rex jonhdeer I buy bulk marabou from Hareline Dubbin. It is easily the best marabou in the industry.
how do you make those shrimp looking jigs
Tyson Ngaya Very carefully.
shouldn't the hook be the other way
gary Bunke The other way? Not sure what you mean Gary. The way it travels through the water is the way it is pictured.
Fish see from the bottom, so this is right way.
When the jig is tied on, the fish will see the leather, not the fur is what Gary is saying.
it'd be cool if you make more jig or lure videos you put some them in your ears like fishing earrings.
Holy shit man, you'd better calm down. You're way too excited.
Too slow, I’m growing a beard waiting for the show to start.
