That Burger King location is on Groesbeck and Cass. There was never a Kmart behind the Burger King there. It was a Farmer Jack grocery store where the Planet Fitness is. I grew up in that area. Kmart was at 15 Mile and Groesbeck.
Actually before it was farmer jack it was a Kmart and nextdoor where the dollar general was and where dollar tree is now was great Scott then Kroger. The Kmart left in 96. The fj opened in 97 and then closed in 07.
you should go to the burger king on Gratiot Ave in Mt Clemens it has the 60s style. Also I’m from richmond Michigan lol funny you talked about are old Burger king which is a restaurant papous
Another BK! So many of these are closing up. Shame to see. Excited for the video! Also hoping that you found some new abandoned Kmarts in their home-state. Sad to see what’s happened to them too.
Hey Wallie. Where the strip mall being built next to the bk used to be the Original K-chef restaurant. It was a Coney Island after Kmart abandoned it. It burn down a few years ago and was torn down. Did you get a chance to film the closed Kmart a few miles down and 15 Mile and Grosebeck?
I remember the Kmart on Groesbeck Hwy and 15 Mile Road. When I worked at the Kmart on Groesbeck Hwy and Cass and the Groesbeck Hwy and 15 Mile Road Kmart took the load off the Groesbeck and Cass Store when it was very busy on the weekends.
Hi Wallie, I just finished watching this video about the abandoned Burger King in Mt.Clemens. The Planet Fitness Gym in the background and when it was a Kmart Store. I used to work at that Kmart Store from 1985-1996. And I also remember eating at the Burger King in the parking lot when it was affordable and the food was very good at Burger King. I remember when Kmart Closed Permanently on Sunday May 8,1996 on Mother's Day. The old Kmart Store was a Farmer Jack Supermarket and Farmer Jack Supermarket Closed Permanently. Now I'm glad that it is a Planet Fitness Gym. The Dollar Tree 🎄 Store used to be a Great Scott!Supermarket/Kroger and Closed Permanently. The Subway Submarine Shop was the old Kmart Garden Shop. All those businesses are in the same old Kmart Building and nothing has been demolished. I'm glad that you got to film my old Kmart where I used to work at back in the day. I meant to let you know that the O'Reilly Auto Parts Store was the old Kmart Auto Center Center in the parking lot.
This is in my local area and I can't believe all these establishments are left this way.....just like the Elias Brothers Big Boy and Long John Silvers across the street, along with the Kmart and Farmer Jack that used to be here behind this Burger King 😞 This used to be a happening area back in the day !!!
That's how you know a place has been closed awhile, the foods stinks. My first thought was how much that bread could've helped a local food bank or homeless shelter.
they sure could have donated the bread to a food bank like someone said here, or the very least open the bags up scatter it and let the birds have at it, always enjoy the videos
Red Lion Diner Closed too. Come & see before they switch it to A #wawa as the plan is! Love your K-Mart with talking Speaker voice who said thank you for visiting K-Mart!!!
You ought come down to Roanoke Rapids ,n.c. just off i 95. Film the abandoned Randy Parton theater , city invested about 20 million in that site , fired randy after about 2 years i think .Been sold ,foreclosed on so many times I've lost count.
I've been in North Carolina before but I went through Virginia and went on the Bay Tunnel Bridges, beautiful view of the ocean from there. My parents and I went to Carolla, beautiful beach town. I saw an abandoned Burger King in Carolla, but, I don't know if it's still abandoned or not.
Wallie I love your videos man. Great stuff there happens to be an abandoned Burger King in Dobson, NC. You’ve been to the abandoned Taco Bell & Walmart in Elkin. Just throwing some ideas for your future videos.
Hey Wallie, Love your videos. Always entertaining and interesting. I live in northern NJ and there is an abandoned Friendly's 10 mins from my house. I used to work there from 1997-2010. Not much to see as the previous owner took most of the stuff out. There is also an abandoned Hoolihans and Boston Market both of which look like it closed yesterday lol. Everything is still inside (tables, chairs, computers, cups, napkins etc). That would be a perfect place for a visit and video.
Sounds: like there is a tax lean on the property for unpaid taxes. That is bazar they leave the trays of hamburger buns outside or at the location period.
There's something MUCH more telling here than the tunnel vision look at the building. I believe that location is off of Groesbeck Hwy. That's the traffic noise you hear in the background. Groesbeck is a major local roadway with a lot of traffic and exposure. Even though strip malls are having a lot of trouble nowadays with the appearance of Amazon, this is a fast food restaurant smack off Groesbeck in the middle of Mt. Clemens suburbia that's been around a long, long time, and the residency and traffic flow is still as vigorous as ever. So, maybe there's a "good" reason it closed. It happens. But the prevalence of restaurant closures and hard impacts since COVID justifies a harder look than that. All the restaurant chains in the area, not just fast food, suffered BADLY from the COVID lockdowns and mandates. From a timeline perspective that's exactly when food chains got clocked in the heads with baseball bats, and some of them haven't recovered. Supply chain impacts, etc. There's a Mcdonalds in the area smack off another high traffic intersection and freeway exits that's been there for like 40 + years. And for the first time ever, unbelievably, I went to go get an Egg McMuffin a couple of months ago at like 8am, historically they'd be open at like 6am (drive through at least), and they weren't open until 9am. And it wasn't a building maintenance issue. Sad times, but we have our "Leaders" in Washington to thank for all of this. And it was intentional.
I never went to that Burger King, it always looked sketchy. Also, I remember when that O'Reilly Auto Parts store uses to be a Hollywood Video/Game Crazy. Those were the days
I have 4 Abandoned Burger Kings in South Jersey you gotta come see!!! One Closed & they built A Starbucks right next to the Abandoned BK at 1 of the 4 that closed in South Jersey.
Looks worse now since you filmed, it’s like 1 mile from my home 😮 on gratiot NB just before you enter Mt Clemens there’s a KFC that closed without warning, everything from street looks intact. Thought I would mention it to you 😊
At first I was like 'Oh cool OG Burger King'. Then there was the dusty planter, then the ceiling tiles, then the bread, then the water. I'm sure somebody got food poisoning here.

As always great video. 👍

Actually it was a Farmer Jack supermarket. K -mart was on 15 Mile. I used to shop there (Fj) until Meijer opened.
Another BK! So many of these are closing up. Shame to see. Excited for the video!

Yay, Another One Of These!!!

Good video wallie keep up your awesome work
Nice videos 👍 I like your videos all of your videos 😍🤗😍🤗
Farmer Jacks was there in 1998
Is this on Grosebeck? That wasn’t a k - mart ?
Awesome 👌 video man BK
Good video! Another abandoned Burger King! Can't believe that they would leave bread out in the open like that! No wonder this place closed up! Sad!
Trying to imagine what the food quality was there. 🤢
That Burger King building in Mount Clemens is gone now

Yeah, I’m glad we didn’t have did not smell version
Across the street used to be Big Boy. I think the Jars Cannibis place took over the sign.
Even the hungry homeless people would say heck no to the sorry condition they left it. They could at least give the bread away on the last day....
they sure could have donated the bread to a food bank like someone said here, or the very least open the bags up scatter it and let the birds have at it, always enjoy the videos
The 2nd BK was similar to this one but shoved in A corner for yrs than randomly closed in South Jersey!
Awesome video Wallie dont see much of old school burger place thanks for sharing this buddy :D love your videos
Red Lion Diner Closed too. Come & see before they switch it to A #wawa as the plan is! Love your K-Mart with talking Speaker voice who said thank you for visiting K-Mart!!!

Second time you found food at burger king and I wonder if the health department closed this one
Wallie I love your videos man. Great stuff there happens to be an abandoned Burger King in Dobson, NC. You’ve been to the abandoned Taco Bell & Walmart in Elkin. Just throwing some ideas for your future videos.
Cool video
It's definitely a wrap on this bk, and I'm glad i didn't smell that back there.
Hey Wallie,

That's a shame about that bread they could have donated it before it went bad
Another classic case of corporate waste. Could have done good with a service to those in need but instead wasted it all. 😒
Sounds: like there is a tax lean on the property for unpaid taxes. That is bazar they leave the trays of hamburger buns outside or at the location period.
The lobby was closed back in 2020 and never reopened it

My neck of the woods 😊
those are indeed fly traps, yuck! 🤪
I have 4 Abandoned Burger Kings in South Jersey you gotta come see!!! One Closed & they built A Starbucks right next to the Abandoned BK at 1 of the 4 that closed in South Jersey.
I think he also should check out the Kmart in Jersey that got turned into a Rock climbing place.
@@shainahullihen1159 He could do the Re-Visit, maybe! Yeah!
I had a whopper from this place like 4 years ago and it was like eating cardboard. I was happy it closed up.
Looks worse now since you filmed, it’s like 1 mile from my home 😮 on gratiot NB just before you enter Mt Clemens there’s a KFC that closed without warning, everything from street looks intact. Thought I would mention it to you 😊
Thank you! I plan to come back through as soon as I can. I'll have to check it out next time I'm in town.
good job dude
Woooooo!
Cool
At first I was like 'Oh cool OG Burger King'. Then there was the dusty planter, then the ceiling tiles, then the bread, then the water. I'm sure somebody got food poisoning here.
Hey Wallie how did you bowl on Monday?
Not bad for not bowling for over a month. 219, 195, and 167 were my 3 games.
@@WallieB26 way to go. Hopefully you can make some bowling videos this year like before
Hi wallie
I think a lot has to do w a good manager as keeping the place running.
I believe that k mart at one time was a Farmer Jack
I just hate that they just left the bread like that now that's ridiculous
Can UA-cam implement "smell-o-vision" so we get to smell the wonderful odors?
Well at least he found some food this time. 😅
He found onion rings at another one
Go take a look now😂😂❤
if you look the cashregister is still on also
R.I.P Burger King
doesn't sound like whatever food is at this BK is very appetizing...
that is results of poor management and staff. when they ust come to work and don't care if they really do business or not.
Weirdo would be proud you found food! 😂😂
County probably shut them down and locked them out for not paying taxes.
That building is gone
I definitely prefer Burger King 👑 over McDonald’s 🍟
Could you give the street?
They spelled managers wrong on the sign 🤦🏻
UHHHHH what do they mean by burget Peasant, thats actually making me giggle a bit
No one has it their way at that BK...
You know i have seen vids and ppl get chased by the police and also they say that they had to pause the vid becuase ricording they have passed out.
Water on the floor
Sad I like BK impossible burger.
I almost got hit by a car while filming that people in that area are crazy that area got worst last year and started getting bad last year
Waste of money bread left everything behind
i want fries from burbuur king now.
Mt Clemens can be dangerous. I try to avoid it. Good job.
Day 12 for alma kmart
Eat a many of Whoppers here!
Wallie, forgive me for asking, but what is your motive behind these videos? I am not criticizing. Just curious. Businesses come and go everywhere.
