The more I learn about the vk56 the more I'm in love. I'm a 7.3 powerstroke, 2015 armada, and civic si owner . I love durability but I would love to gain some power in the armada . The vk56 motor is a beautiful piece of real engineering.

omg, I just loved that C11 sound, the mercedes engine was a 5L DOHC, so I went looking for a twin turboed DOHC V8. and like you said it sounds pretty close, Id imagine a twin turbo ford cotyote will sound similar

It's such a damned shame Nissan is so stingy about the VK platform. It wouldn't be so cost-prohibitive to swap if they threw it in everything the way American makers do with V8s.
If Ford put the Coyote in as many vehicles as GM puts the LS in, we could very much see Coyote 5.0 swaps that don't cost $10-16,000.

@@iraqifoodcart8447 They can't because of the size. The LS goes into everything because its a very compact motor (pushrods!). The coyote is basically a big block. Same deal for the VK.

With the current state of Ford and chevy v8s as well as the last few years of hemis , I would put my money on toyota or nissan v8s particularly the vk58 .

I wish that Rocket Bunny made a similar kit for the OG Nissan Skyline, like the early 1970s version, and then kind of made it look more like a 1968 Ford/Shelby Mustang GT 500...just move the mirrors from the front fenders to the doors, put in the same type of VK56 engine under the hood, get rid of the snap, crackle, and pop that the car is making in this video, make it have a nice healthy muscle car burble, and it would be awesome.
There’s a build on a UA-cam channel called The Skid Factory that’s doing something very similar at the moment. Built VK56 in an old Hakosuka GT-X. God bless those crazy Queenslanders.
It’s unfortunate that Japan has such an aversion to V8s than you only ever see these monsters when they’re modded to hell
Vk56 is in the nissan Armada , Infiniti qx80 , Nissan Patrol y62 , and if my memory serves , the Titan .
@@texasslingleadsomtingwong8751 , yes, it is in the Titan and the Titan would be an awesome muscle truck if the TRD Pro Nismo were even further modified. Also, Toyota has a sick V8 in its own right for the Tundra that is (and possibly is still) being used on the NASCAR version of the Camry (which nearly had a road going version as well).

Incredible car with great power. That backfire tune sucks ass though. VK sounds just like a 950hp+ Cup engine. Music to my ears, destroyed by a backfire tune. A little burble would be great, not erratic machine gun fire.
