When Liverpool were caught hacking city's computer system they paid 1 million in compensation with out admitting guilty, that charge was worse than what we have been charged with, city allowed that two help the EPL, that was a mistake.

Instead of the prem spending all this money on legal fees, they should have hired a legal team to make sure their new rules were lawful in the 1st place 😂
You can't accept the biggest points deduction in English football history and a transfer ban and maintain innocence LB 😂....don't lose your bottle mate, I'd rather go to the bottom league fighting to clear our name. LB was right though we did accept a settlement in 2014 but didn't accept guilt, we "took the pinch" for commercial purposes so it could happen again.
If we are looking to stopping clubs getting into financial trouble, I'd rather we scrap the current rules and change it to that a club can't have debt as high as 10 % of their turnover. If an owner wants to pump money into the club for a new stadium or transfers, put money into something like an escrow account.
The UEFA rules will still stand for clubs competing in Europe, so they will somewhat still be restricted
Unfortunately there is a club in this league that has high debt that will stop this.

If you want to know what United and Fergie were up to back in the day, look up channel 4 documentary "How to Buy a Football Club"....they were bent as anything. They've been at it for decades and City's takeover just exposed it, that's the real reason they came after us.

We definitely need a proper CDM in January now(Ederson or Zubimendi). Rodri will be out for the rest of the season injured, plus it will take minimum half a season (maybe even a full next season) for him to start feeling somewhat comfortable again in games with that knee. I think it should just go back to how it was, simple. If a club over spends and goes out of business it's goodbye like any other business. The fans don't suffer because the club can be reformed and start at the bottom like Rangers did. They have used the excuse of saving clubs for years, the red cartel never cared they were rigging the game in their favour. At the end of the day City or any club isn't a business, it's a badge and 11 shirts and it's fans, that's what truly matters. Have a continuation clause in every club contract which says the badge, kit and club name does not belong to the owner in the event they go bust, it stays with the football community/government.

Even though running a business from debt is 'normal' , football is a sport . Therefore, I think there should be a relationship between indebtedness and expenditure that is enshrined in premier league rules -- such a rule would force Man united and other clubs run on debt to change their business model.

Maybe the prize money should be distributed better within the league? The higher a team is, the more they pay to be in the league, but no caps on what can be spent. However, there needs to be enough money to pay for transfers, to prevent incompetent spending.
Still be a legal minefield if we get kicked out of the pl. If we then get admitted to the EFL, the team who we replace will kick off and that will filter down through the divisions.
