I'm so impressed that you made a butcher block desk top from scratch vs buying one, love that you know how to do this. Looking forward to seeing this room come together, I know it will be amazing.
You got a lot done! Stripping painted-over wallpaper is awful! Twenty years as a painting and wallpaper contractor, that was the worst part of my job. There is no way to get it all off without some damage to the walls. It’s going to be so nice in that room when you’re done!🌸
I envy the way you decide and produce the pieces in your head….the way you do the work, finish it the way you want it,most of the time all on your own. Your projects turn out beautifully, and that has to be so satisfying. Waiting for the results……Thanks for sharing…..❣️😊❣️😊❣️
Hi Glenda! I wanted to let you know this was the first video I have seen by you and I absolutely love your no nonsense let’s just do it vibe! And I am a pretty handy woman myself but I learned some tips and tricks just from this video!!! Thanks!!
Snowbound for the win!! I have it in my kitchen and dining room. Simply the best white! Why did you use an oil-based primer after getting the wall and texture repaired? Then the top coat was acrylic latex? I, a novice, have done 1/2 of the wallpaper removal and repair/texture/painting in my 100+yr old room using water-based primer. Which is better? I see no bleed-though. It's such an onerous job, I still have 2 walls to do.
Great job! I couldn't find myself to repair that big of a job just yet lol it would have taken me waaaayyy too long... I used oil based because the sheetrock was bleeding through the texture and I didnt want to risk it bleeding through the new paint, otherwise yes I would have just used a water based primer. ❤️
Oh my, the poor plant! Regarding the waste coming out of the planer blower, is there a way to wire up a heavy cloth or plastic-lined bag to catch the wood dust and slivers that you can take off and empty out when filled (add to a compost pile) or just toss in the waste?
You get the Miss Domestic Goddess of the year award! I love your videos. You have a really good eye, and design style, plus you can do anything! OK, what's your honest opinion on the Wagner paint sucking roller thingy? Worth it, or not?
I ❤️ your videos! I wish you had time for more! I now wish I hadn't become a nurse & had the opportunity to work with tools...fixing & creating. So happy the world is beginning to see no gender in job choices! You younger people are going to be happier with less regrets(I hope!) ❤️ An upstate NY follower & lover of ALL of your content.
@@GlendaChavez You're amazing! I love how calm you are. You look like always thinking! A follower for life! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ P. S. I wish I could make myself & my grandson's some of your creations! How about a dog house for some of your fur babies? You could use up some scrap wood.
The old sheetrock tannins were bleeding through the texture, so I didnt want to risk that happening through the paint... ❤️ specially since I was going to be using a light color.... otherwise I would have just used a waterbased primer.
Hola desde España ,te sigo en UA-cam. Y me encantaría que tus vídeos se tradujeron al español , porque. No tengo ni idea de inglés . Deseo lo mejor para ti y tu familia ,un saludo.
Several years ago, I wanted to remove hideous textured paint (that sandy, gritty crap),o I bought a heat gun. I saved me HOURS of time. I WILL NEVER REMOVE PAINT ANY OTHER WAY!
Oh stars above! Preparing those walls was a huge job! You're really good with your woodworking and I can't wait to see the rest of this makeover! All of these makeover projects you're doing to your home must feel really rewarding! You do such a great job!

Adding some fabric softener to the warm water makes the stripping easier.

Girl, you got a planer in your arsenal?!?! I'm scared to use a drill. I'm always super impressed with you. Can't wait to see the end result.
lol yes... Ive had it sitting in my garage for like 2 years now... It took me a while to want to use it... ❤️
Thank you!

How about a dog house for some of your fur babies? You could use up some scrap wood.
I lived in an apartment once, where somebody painted over wallpaper. Over the years paint was peeling, it looked awful.
Worst idea ever!
I guess people do it, because its too much work to remove...
I love your work
Thank you Kathy! ❤️
I really liked the desk top. What were the dimensions
I made it to be 24" W x46"L ❤️
Curious as to why you used oil based primer on the walls.
