I understood 95% of all that was spoken. Thank you for making videos with a real conversation like this one. Keep up with them! I think it's really a very good thing you do, talking with native speakers and showing us. Besides working as an inspiration, it also helps us to practice our listening.
I've already used Cambly for two months to test it out, and honestly, I loved it. The teachers are really nice, the classes are recorded, and there's an automated chat translation in case you get stuck and don't know how to say something. So, really, it's very good. Obviously, 350 a month for just 1.5 hours of lessons a week isn't exactly cheap, and since I already take an English course, I tried Cambly just to see how it was. One thing that left me a bit confused on the platform was knowing exactly what to do, like, which lesson to fit into.
I watched it in English and I loved to use this platform. And I found my tutor nearby me here in Alberta Canada. She is family, my step-son’s fiancée! I had a great time together during the pronunciation masters course and now again in all the English in Brazil course!
I took classes about a year at Cambly, at the beginning I loved it, but months later I realized that some tutors were from poor countries and this is another way to exploit cheap labor. It is against my values, so I stopped and nobody asked me why. It’s a little bit weird.
Why cheap labor? Do you know how much they pay to them? If that "poor" teacher is not giving you classes or to other students, what would they do to live?! What do you really do to help people in work exploitation situation (I'm not telling that is this the case)? Just speech doesn't really help... Don't wanna fight, just bring some points to think about. ;)
They are probably making more money than teaching in local schools. Then if you stop using the service because of that you're not helping them at all but rather reducing the amount of work they can get thus affecting their income. On a side note, I used cambly for a while but not in the last 3 years, back then none of my tutors were from poor countries except the ones who were living abroad (but then injecting money in the local economy which is good too)
One of the best decisions I made in my life was to learn English. Good interview!

Qual a tradução de "But truth be told, you’re better off spending that time communicating in English and engaging in real-life conversations."?

O uso do too e as well eu tinha visto q são sinônimos, porém o too é mais utilizado nos EUA e o as Well na Inglaterra...procede?
