Using that M Bison clip seems pretty on the nose these days considering the fact that Street Fighter characters have been showing up in Power Ranger material lately. Ryu and Chun-li becoming rangers for example, though I would love to see some sort of Psycho Ranger upgrade for M Bison
Zuyranger had the best intro ever, yeah the whole power rangers are just only dubbing versions of the Sentai ranger series. The Japanese tokusatsu are always raddical.
Power Rangers would never cross with Sailor Moon cuz the demographics of the two series are not the same. Sailor Moon is actually for young teenage girls in Japan. No joke. That’s what Shojo anime mainly target.
Jack, I love you're videos about king kong reviews, they were great. When I was little, started to watch king kong 1976, I started to love that movie so much. And I started to watch The Amazing Spider-Man 2012, I nearly cried on each scene. The story was strong and well made, but some people hated that movie for some reason, but it doesn't matter to me anyway, I still loved that movie. I haven’t seen every power ranger series because it’s too hard to keep up with and I’m also watching the super Sentai series. But my number one favorite season is definitely Time force. It has great characters and cool story. Not to mention character arcs. I love the relationship between Wes and Jen. The action scenes are great. The villains are awesome and has great monster designs.
MMPR also took footage from other sentai other then Zyuranger such as Dairanger for the White Ranger and Thunder Zord footage in Season 2 as well as Kakuranger for the Alien Rangers and Ninja/Shogun Zord footage in Season 3 also my favorites are Dino Thunder and SPD.
I admit, it did take too long for them to get in the suits. That, and the product placement can be laughable at times. But, I personally enjoyed the film for what it was, giving the teenagers more fleshed-out arcs and when we did get the Power Rangers action it was really cool. Though, that may be because I did not grow up with the show and only watched a portion of it off of Netflix building up to the film’s release.
I wouldn’t call it “worthless”, though, because that implies it has no value to anyone. As you pointed out in the review, there are people who do enjoy this movie (including me), and in turn do see some worth in it. You may not see much worth in the film, and it may be worthless to you, but there are others who don’t see it as such, in spite of its box-office failure. Even if we don’t get a sequel, I’ll still admire what the film did well and hope that, if it’s rebooted again, they will utilize the elements that did work in the last version and combine them with new creative elements.
The Tyrannosaurus Dinozord was my favourite Zord of the whole Mighty Morphin’ lineup, he was like the elite warrior king of the Zords in my eyes as a kid, more so than the Dragonzord. So, seeing their bastardised designs in the movie bummed me out big time.
Linkara is a total hypocrite. Overdrive was terrible and had annoying characters but Ninja Steel had Victor and Monty who nearly screwed the rangers by giving their powers to the main bad guy and almost got everyone killed. And Megaforce completely disrespected its previous past rangers. The showrunner once said “What’s a Forever Red”. Says about how Megaforce and Super Megaforce were terrible seasons.
I Know that this movie failed to nostalgic people including myself. But for me, the movie's failure was in my expectations. I expected the dinozords to represent the show but like others I was scratching my head about what they were supposed to be. Other than that, The movie was Entertaining and it's plot was ripped straight from the show. Something about it still felt... Incomplete about the film.
A Sailor Moon/Power Rangers Crossover! I had a dream about that once! That could work really well especially in the third mighty morphin power Rangers season because there would be two megazords for both teams
I wouldn't call the Megazord in this film a Bayformers looking thing. It looks more like a ripoff of one of the Jeagers from Pacific Rim. Aside from that, the designs of the Dinozords are just terrible. Also, Barza was from Zyurangers, not Zeo Rangers. Favorite season: Dino Thunder.
This movie is not a reboot. Its a movie based off a tv series. If Power Rangers was a movie to start with, then yes that would be a reboot. But it did not happen that way so its not a reboot. Not the movie that Hasbro and Paramount is making. That is defiantly going to be a reboot!

I Liked the reboot. I Thought it ws acted really well, it was trying to do what all origin films do. introduce and slowly show and devlopt the characters. I understand why a lot of folks don't like it,etc. just, I Really liked billy, Jason, Trini,etc.
LIonsgate is not a good movie studio and the acting of each movies like say Hellboy and the 1st one that I can remember is 2006's Minotaur are considered the worsts because they have lazy story plots and bad origins.

I was disappointed with this movie. You want to know what also bothers me, they hardly keep their masks on. They always have them off during the Zoe’s fight. The point of being a ranger is to have that cool helmet on.

Ok, I think you, and allot of other people, are being WAY TOO HARSH to this movie. Personally I really liked it. Hell I own the Blu Ray of this movie. I have to disagree with allot of the points people have made. The reason why I loved the movie so much WAS because of the characters. You get to see their lives, their troubles, their turmoils. You got to know them more. My favorite scene in the whole movie is when they're just sitting by a camp fire and getting to know each other. This movie did something for me that not even the TV show got me to do. It made me actually care about the characters and I actually believed that these guys were friends. In the show, yeah I did kinda see that, but here it felt stronger to me. The scene where Billy supposedly dies, I actually believed that the characters were grieving by his supposed death. Hell the scene before the campfire scene where Billy briefly transforms to stop Jason and Zack from fighting is great character moment for Billy I felt. It showed that Billy wasn't just the smart guy, he's the glue that keeps the team together, that's what makes his "death" sad to me. This movie was NEVER boring to me, I actually was glued to the screen the whole time wanting to learn more about these characters. To those people, including you, who say that this movie is just a cheap cash grab to cash in on the Power Rangers name. NO! The Michael Bay Transformers are cash grabs. The Michael Bay Ninja Turtles are cash grabs. The DC movies (with a few exceptions) are cash grabs. THIS feels like there was genuine effort put into it. Do the Zords and Megazord suck. Yes they do, but that's not enough for me to immediately say the movie is bad. Hell, the most criticisms I hear for this movie, including yours, are aimed JUST at the designs of the Zords and Megazord. Oh and to those who complained about about the Rangers not showing up until the end. Did you people even WATCH the damn show? The characters there say MULTIPLE TIMES that it's NOT the costumes, or the powers that make them Power Rangers. It's their heroic deeds and will to fight that makes them Power Rangers. Hell, whenever the rangers lose their powers they don't automatically just give up like the Overdrive rangers did. No, they keep fighting because in the end it's not the costume that makes the man, it's the man himself. The fact that people complain about how the rangers don't get in the costumes until the end just pisses me off because, as said before, the show makes it clear that it's not JUST the powers that make you a power ranger.
Forever Red is a favorite, along with the Zen-Aku arc and the Time Force crossover I had the whole Zen-Aku arc on VHS and can remember every monster that the rangers faced in that storyline.
Great video. I'll be upfront; I find the 2017 a very mixed bag. I like the actors/ cast. They had good chemistry and there were some good moments. But the plot was awful. Scenes just happened with barely any connectivity and plot contrivances galore. Especially with(MOVIE SPOILERS) Billy coming back to life. To be honest, if you want to satiate your desire for Power Rangers, read the BOOM comics Power Rangers comics. Both Mighty Morphin and Go Go are excellent, managing to take the original series and flesh it out while also adding some cool lore additions. For example, we learn how Rita gets the green ranger power coin in Go Go. It is my hope that Power Rangers actually gets an animated series. Maybe, base it off the BOOM comics and make it like a superhero series. It would give some new life into the brand while also giving the showrunners a chance not to be bound by the Sentai footage.
