Jacob, been a fan for awhile, but after seeing this---wow! What a knowledgeable and talented musician you are. Didn't want the music in this video to end!
My favorite part of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood is a funny fast film of Betty Aberlin makes her own bed and I like the celesta music and they did played the 1993 TriStar Pictures Fanfare with the celesta music.
Fred Rogers talked the talk, and walked the walk. I will forever hold that man in the highest regard. Not only did he teach us all how to be better humans, he wrote all of that music. And it was performed live by the band, while he shot the show.... so much people don't know. THANKS for this amazing video. We love you, Mister Rogers. We miss you.
The music in the show isn't something I remember appreciating as a kid, but as an adult I'm in love with those twinkly piano high notes and tunes, and the simple, pure, genuine nature of the lyrics. And I do sing "It's such a good feeling" in the car too, such a great song! Also, I love the painting of the miniature town at the beginning of this video! 🥹🥹🥹❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Fred was such a gifted composer. That aspect of his artistry doesn't get as much credit. Thank you for highlighting it with this amazing video. When the Day Turns into Night is my favorite song of his.
When I was in college, I had the opposite schedule of most of my hall. So between studio classes, I'd watch Mr. Rogers. It was so incredibly soothing, and made me feel loved. This is a great video, thanks!
I don't think it's possible to press the "like" button any harder. What a reverent and touching, but also TALENTED and insightful look at the musical aspect of Fred Rogers! Even your Daniel the Tiger voice did perfect justice to the original. Hats off to all of you who worked on this!
October 17, 2023 - one of my favorite memories was the one where he let the African American gentleman share the pool with him on a hot day. Fred Rogers lived his life by his actions not just by his wirds
I hasten to add that Michael and Sean were outstanding in this video too. Y'all's feel at the end of the “When the Day Turns to Night” section was really great.
Thank you, Jeremy and Sweetwater for this tribute to Mr. Rogers!! Jeremy, you’re piano playing is awe inspiring. Thanks for making this video! A special shout out to my Sales Engineer, Jon Krempel, for sharing this wonderful video with me!
I can't thank you enough for making this! I have always had a deep appreciation for his music and have learned these songs on the piano myself. You have captured his style so beautifully. We can all feel your respect for the man. Thank you!
I grew up watching "Mr Rogers Neighborhood" in the 80s. I loved that not only could he play the piano, but he had fish! I loved his visits from the various characters and guest stars. Even now, as I've been led to help others via my own journey, I find myself referring to what I learned from Mr Rogers. Part of healing emotional wounds is, to use one of Rogers' songs, "what do you do with the mad that you feel?" That one is a crucial thing to think about, and this is why his work is so healing, even for us grown-ups...because let's face it: there are a lot of wounded hearts out there because of unhappy childhood stuff. Sometimes I go back and listen to his songs...and sometimes something that I thought was healed just bubbles up and I have to cry it out. I know I went on a bit of a tangent, but as a musician and empathic person, I think I would be emotionally worse off if I never watched Fred Rogers' musically and emotionally impactful work. Thank you for keeping his work and legacy alive, just by making this mini-documentary. 🙏
This was a fun video! Thank you so much, neighbor! "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" was one of my favorite shows growing up. It was programs like this one that helped kindle my interest in jazz. I host a jazz radio show here in Amarillo every Sunday night. On occasion, I play jazzy sound clips from the "Neighborhood". I've also played cuts from Johnny Costa's album, "Johnny Costa Plays Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Jazz" and Kevin Bales & Keri Johnsrud's album, "Beyond the Neighborhood: The Music of Fred Rogers" on the air. In fact, on two separate occasions, I've played both of their albums in their entirety. Plus, back in April of 2017, I did a phone interview with jazz guitarist Joe Negri, aka Handyman Negri. Man, that was an absolute blast! He is such a nice, jovial person! In addition, last May, I debuted an original radio special about Mister Rogers & his history with jazz. I think it went over really well, too.
Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood and Peanuts were my first exposure ever to jazz. I’m 33 years old now and still have a deep appreciation for jazz thanks to Johnny Costa, Fred Rogers, and Vince Guaraldi. BTW, who is that in your trio? Your bassist and drummer are excellent.
Thank you for showcasing both the depth of music from Mr. Rogers and the talent of the Sweetwater staff. You captured the feel of the show, intermixing education, superb musicianship and joyful wonder. Well done!
This video is a wonderful tribute to an amazing human being. I’ve been learning a few of Mr Rogers’ songs on guitar to play for my young son, so this video couldn’t be more timely. Thanks!
Thank you Sweetwater for sponsoring this fantastic and very important video. Thank you Jacob and the other musicians for taking the initiative and making the effort to share the music and thoughts of the late Fred Rodgers.
Wow! This is lovely! I got a new-to-me instrument called a kalimba that immediately reminded me of Mr. Roger’s music. I didn’t realize he was so into music. Amazing! That’s for putting this together.
Jacob! You just made my day!!!!! Omgoodness! Such a wonderful video!! My heart ❤️ was just overjoyed when you included Daniel Tiger! The details were impeccable and the music simply beautiful. I cannot say thank you enough and how impressive you are! Bravo! ~ Keith W. in Biloxi, Miss.
Wow,! This is really interesting and good. My younger brother thinks and almost had me convinced that Mr Rogers was a CIA operative and hitman. This show was just a cover. He was so convincing in his argument that I wanted to believe him. Now I’m conflicted with this video of truth. Do I shatter my younger brothers illusion with truth or let him continue being deceived. Anything I can do to upset him brings me great joy. Looking forward to showing him this.
This was superb. I enjoyed the stories and the music was a masterful tribute to not only Fred Rogers but also to the brilliant musicians who created sounds and feelings in real time. Thank you for putting so much heart into this!
This is so underrated along with you guys this video is amazing.. I’ve subbed and look forward to all of your videos thank you for posting this.. Fred could be the most prideful and selfless person who walked the earth..

Sweetwater mine is him singing it’s you I like
The trolley connection between the two sides of the show, and how Fred and other character acknowledged Trolley.
Please make the full performances of all the music in this video available for everyone’s enjoyment
Fred Rogers was probably one of the greatest humans to have ever walked the Earth.
No doubt.
Dude’s the GOAT fr

My god this such a entertaining and high quality video, more of this please
John Costa's up there smiling.
Yessir. Probably the most influential pianist of his time, lowkey.
So is Fred :")
It was Vince Guaraldi and Johnny Costa that introduced and influenced kids to jazz through television during the 1960's and onward.
Also Robert Dennis with the "Mad Painter" series on Sesame Street.
greatest video sweetwater ever made!!
Fred was such a gifted composer. That aspect of his artistry doesn't get as much credit. Thank you for highlighting it with this amazing video. When the Day Turns into Night is my favorite song of his.
As far as I'm concerned, Fred was a genius when it came to songwriting.
I want to have “It’s Such a Good Feeling” played at the end of my funeral.
When I was in college, I had the opposite schedule of most of my hall. So between studio classes, I'd watch Mr. Rogers. It was so incredibly soothing, and made me feel loved. This is a great video, thanks!

My love for jazz, I can attribute to watching Mr. Rogers. God bless his Memory. Thank you Mr. Rogers for everything
I miss those days.
If you made a Mr. Rogers album I would LOVE it forever!
Thanks a lot Sweetwater team and Jacob Dupre
I always loved when he visited factories to show how stuff was made. Thanks for this memory! Speedy delivery!
There is an episode at the Martin Guitar factory. Mr. Rogers lived in Pittsburgh and visited a lot of factories in PA.
October 17, 2023 - one of my favorite memories was the one where he let the African American gentleman share the pool with him on a hot day. Fred Rogers lived his life by his actions not just by his wirds
Jacob Dupre is a national treasure. Thank you, Sweetwater.

Perfect music for a coffee, bagel and newspaper
I hated the show as a 4 or 5 year old kid but always watched it because I loved that piano player!!! And when he played the Fender Rhodes!!! OmG!!
I can't thank you enough for making this! I have always had a deep appreciation for his music and have learned these songs on the piano myself. You have captured his style so beautifully. We can all feel your respect for the man. Thank you!

Rest in the first neighborhood of heaven Mr. Rogers (1928 and 2003)
The problem with society is they didn't get enough Mister Rogers Neighborhood, or sadly they missed it completely.
Thank you for making this.
