Thanks for the update, for those who had questions. Personally, I ordered Nomad module and will use it with my TX16S, with AG01s. It’s still working well for me and fits my big hands well.
The ergonomics and switch placements of the t20 made more sense. I feel the gx is a rushed job. Better combination is to get the t15 and a nomad module.
Thanks for this follow up, and apologies for accusing you of hiding anything. It was just that I saw exactly the same RM comparisons in all of the first round videos, and it started looking real suspicious that there were no Jumper radios at all. I had high hopes for your video because I know you said you wouldn't work with manufacturers that restrict your content. So when I saw the same on your video I got a bit worked up 😅
My takeaway is that I need to get a Radiomaster TX12 Mk. 2 before they're discontinued. I love the fit and the ergonomics of my OG TX12, and I think this new model spells the end of my old pal. I'd best get a backup before they disappear.
I’m so glad you did this!!! Thank you!!!!! T20 was my favorite radio design for my next radio… but the small screen was a concern. I think I would go for the GX12 now
The two top holes are for replacing the antennas with sma adapters. Same as jumper t20. I replaced my t20's Gemini antenas with dual moxon and got better range
Those two holes on the top are to add 90º RP-SMAs. The is a video that was released by RM explaining how to do that. What wasn't clear abou this upgrade is, if I decide to go with these SMA update and use the Xrossband, I don't know if I should put the Low band antenna in the left or right SMA and the same for the 2.4 antenna.
I think Ian meant the two threaded holes, which for me also look like the two on the bottom for this mentioned stand, because he already explained the sma upgrade abilty in the first video.
@@KidCe. Technically there's probably no real reason but I feel that a dual sensor system is more robust and I feel that I would trust it to be more reliable than a single sensor.
If it doesn't have a color touch screen by now, I wont touch it, Ill stick with my zorro and save up for a new FRsky tandem radio that does have a touch color screen 😁
That's more logical mate. These guys going crazy over something that frsky and jeti been doing for years.. nothing new. Need a more practical transmitter layout with a more user friendly os interface.
What the hell you need a touch screen for anyways? Ever since i set up my radio for each of my quads,i haven't touched the menus ever since unless i wanted to change elrs settings or see telemetry, which i feel is also easier with tactile buttons, for some things, i don't even need to take off my goggles
Hey Ian, a video showing how to replace the shoulder buttons for the switches included would be great! Anyway, thanks for all the info! 😊 Merry Christmas! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
ua-cam.com/video/fOqYCkF-Q8Q/v-deo.htmlsi=nMrn71aLSKvwyK5l 12:00 minutes in. I find it very clear and well done. Of course no disrespect meant towards Ian, just sharing info.
I just ordered the radiomaster nomad with 1 of those DBR4 receivers. To go on my boxer. Ordered those a few days before hearing about this GX12 otherwise i would have got that 🤣 i am interested in the gx12 but have learned on and put some work into my clear boxer with gimbal LEDs. Idk. I would like to get the AG01 gimbals but stock is working fine for me. Can't believe the boxer crush is only $180 now. (Already has the AG01) Think i paid more than that for my clear boxer 🤯 and then the lights and betafpv Gemini module. Maybe in the future I'll get this GX12 or the next model. Still not sure about these gimbals on the GX12. Time will tell. I'll play with my nomad and wait it out 😉😁 thanks for all the great info though 😁
I'm deciding between this and the boxer and I think the boxer+nomad if i ever care about gemini is better, oscar liang pointed out dual band antennas are slightly worse at single spectrum modes. Hybrid pinching doesn't look the best. Its technically heavier than the boxer with batteries?!
I fly the Zorro pinch and use a lanyard so I don't have that problem. I can't say I use anything but my palms to hold the radio. I would think anyone else who uses a lanyard to express a similar opinion.
Why none of the youtubers reviewed Jumper Bumblebee but everyone is reviewing Radiomaster stuff. At that point all of the Radiomaster reviews feel as they are payed.
Radiomaster do not pay for reviews end of. Jumper has not spoken to me about the bumblebee. They have not reached out or even bothered to tell me it was coming out. If jumper are not talking to creators or sending them out to be reviewed then what do you expect ? Rather than blaming reviewers and Radiomaster how about blame Jumper for their lack of promotion of their new product.
I saw some post on Reddit about the ergonomics for pinchers and I feel it was more a content creator just trying to create controversy to get more clicks because so many people were releasing reviews at the same time and in their multiple post they linked their UA-cam video.
The opinion seemed more misinformed than deliberately controversial. The switches were placed at the top so pinchers could arm/disarm and switch modes with middle finger. It wasn’t an ergonomic mistake.
It does depend on how you hold it. UAV Futures does have a valid point with his video, his friend finds it uncomfortable, and I hold it the same way as he does. Ian's grip with both fingers on the top is not how we all hold it, so you'd need to check it for yourself. I bought the Pocket and sold it the next week because it has the same fat top plate. I prefer the notch on the back like the boxer/t14 has

Jan 12. Thanks Ian Looking forward to A Great 60m view after jan 12th.
I have absolutely no problem with the Zorro as a "hybrid pincher". I may touch part of the wheels but that doesn't make me slip.
The twelfth day of christmas is January 6.

I think tx12 didn't get the recognition due to zorro and later pocket came in to steal the spotlight.
I’m so glad you did this!!! Thank you!!!!! T20 was my favorite radio design for my next radio… but the small screen was a concern. I think I would go for the GX12 now
What other radios use that hall sensor setup other than mambo/tango 2? Where all the electronics are taken off the gimbal itself
Thanks Ian the thumbnail is all I needed to see 🙏
The two top holes are for replacing the antennas with sma adapters.
Same as jumper t20. I replaced my t20's Gemini antenas with dual moxon and got better range
Think the FlySky NV14 used the Hall effect sensor on a fixed board too.
Miss that radio!
I had the same issue with the Zorro, so I decided to lock the wheels as they weren’t serving any purpose.
Esse rádio controle ficou lindo!
Don’t have a Zorro but if I’m not mistaking they make a week delete kit that eliminates problem??

The single sensor is a deal breaker imo
why
@@KidCe. Technically there's probably no real reason but I feel that a dual sensor system is more robust and I feel that I would trust it to be more reliable than a single sensor.
@KidCe. I guess redundancy, but I've never heard of a hall effect sensor failing tbh
I have a silly question 🙂 can you swap the screen from GX12 to Boxer ????
Next compare the gimbals with the Tango 2 and Mambo cuz it looks like Radiomaster is biting hard from TBS lol
Im going to use the we bleed wheel delete in my zorro, i only need 3 switches i dont use pots at all.
If it doesn't have a color touch screen by now, I wont touch it, Ill stick with my zorro and save up for a new FRsky tandem radio that does have a touch color screen 😁

wow you're so cool, comparing radios in completely different price ranges.

the frsky tandem does it run edge ?? or is it locked ?
Love your deep divves
I was wondering about pinching. I still think I want one, too bad the stores don't have them yet. Bad timing RM
Any news on dji FLIP?

@lemonsquareFPV Thank you very much! I'm going to check it later! 😊
Can't see display outdoor in bright sky's is a deal breaker here. Should have a LCD type screen like Futaba uses.
Great Video! Switches are a Deal Breaker! Love My Boxer! Will Wait For GX12 Boxer Edition! Ha Ha!
Just get the nomad module.

What annoys me is not being able order the radio from factory in Mode 1 . I don't want to have to do it myself.
Do you think they will do a full Aluminium "Max" kit for this? Hence the top screw holes for a stand, Aluminium buttons etc? Please say yes 😁👍
I mean its very likely looking at past releases.
Just bought an o3 😢

The 12th. Got it. *wink* *wink* 😉
enternal antennas

If referring to UAVFutures video. Firstly watch his video and Steve looks to have large hands and it was an issue for him. Everyone if different.

@@ChrisCroft77that was also my first thought, when I saw him holding the gx12 and it looks like the pocket in his hands 😅
@ I thought that also.
2:22 dude just measure it you're the one who does things like that
