Hey Clayton! Been watching Redacted, I didn't even realize you had this separate channel, AND you play games, this is awesome! :D I don't know if you have a PC or anything but I recommend (if you like old school RPGs) Gothic 1 & 2. It's an old German game from 2001. There has never been a game before or since, that did guilds and questing this well. Doesn't hold your hand, no markers. You have to go by information you ask from NPCs. Map is not interactive. Multiple ways to solve quests. Great atmosphere to it as well. You can hear NPCs gossiping. The clothing characters wear have a culture to it, you can see similarities in the design. Joining a Guild really feels like you are part of it. Once you get a higher rank, they greet you differently. Oh and it is a truly open world game. Not even Skyrim can have you enter a house without a loadscreen. I got it on GoG when it was like 1-2 euros on sale. Always felt modern games lack the feel and style that Gothic has. And you know it's a German game from 20 years ago, when weed smoking, coarse language and peeing are present as normal things. :D English voices are great but the German is just perfect. Oh and if you like stealth, Thief Gold from 1997 is still the best ever made to this day. And I wanted to share, that I found this treasure of a website, vimm(dot)net, which has ALL console games of ALL time. Stuff you can't even run anymore. They got like 50 emulators for it. Happy Gaming! :)
I've given up on the preowned market in the UK, one shop kept the discs in cardboard sleeves which damages them. I've recently picked up Control Ultimate Edition for PS5 for a bargain price, that game was on my wish list for years.
Loved the video. Some great pick ups here. Star Ocean 4 has a terrible (and I mean, awful) story, but the battle system and exploration are so much fun to the point that it's one of my favorite RPGs of all time. Control is amazing too, very X Files feeling to it. For the Wii U games, particularly Mario Maker, I would look into modding your Wii U (if you haven't already) and looking up Pretendo. Since the online features of both the 3DS and Wii U are going offline soon, a group of coders are working on a custom server to keep some of these games with online functionality alive. Looking forward to the next video!
Love your content on Redacted, and didn't realise you're an old school gamer too, neat! Come visit New Zealand, I'll take you to try some of the best steak I've had in my life.
I am impresed you're into gaming especially having a Wii U and the games you bought particularly Zombi U and Xenoblade Chronicles X which are two of my favourites!
Oh, man! Those are a lot of regional lockouts for me -- the last console I was competent enough to solder a chip into was the Dreamcast... Consequently, my DC will kick a** in 'Merica, Scotland, Portugal, Japan, Russia, Brazil, Kenya, etc, etc. Looking at the Gamecube chip... I knew my limits, unfortunately. BUT! I have played Control; it was one of 1st 'next gen' titles to release post-PS5/XBox SeriesX launch -- it's a pretty solid game. Crysis: Remastered should be pretty awesome, too. They both give the player the massive OP experience.
No way were you that close and I didn't hunt you down! 😂UK subscriber to this and redacted channels. Control...made by Remedy, part of the Alan Wake universe and there are references in Control to him, the next installment from Remedy is apparently going to collaborate worlds. It's hi sci fi and more about SCP anomalies, not post apocalyptic. One of my fave studios and games of recent years...there is a section called the ashtray maze, one of the best in gaming history. Enjoy!
Of all these games I only played Ni no Kuni, Xenoblade and Zelda, of course. I‘ve never had a PlayStation. Except for the Sega Dreamcast I‘ve always been a Nintendo gamer. 😊
Had no idea you were in my hometown. There is a video game store which is more like a warehouse just outside of Kilmarnock called Forgotten Worlds. If you're still in Scotland, you should definitely visit the store, it's for sure the best game store in Scotland if not the UK.
Hi Clayton. Subbed not long ago and slowly working my way through your vids. Love your chilled delivery and take on gaming. Im from 🇬🇧. Glad you enjoyed our country. Next time you're over here hit me up, ill take you on a tour of Yorkshire, lots of retro stores here. And Control is a great game, 👍 think you'll enjoy it.
Ratchet & Clank is one of the greatest platformer series ever. You should also check out the Sly Cooper series, specifically the second one, A Band of Thieves. That is "the" game that got me into 3D platformers.
The little one looks just like her mom. The food looked great and the scenery was beyond gorgeous. Truly beautiful. The games were some nice pick-ups. Rayman Origins and Legends are some of the best platforming you can find. They’re actually made by the same people that made the recent Prince of Persia. Control is part of the Alan Wake series which is nice once you know that. Also, the Atelier series is phenomenal! The Ryza series is a must play must own! Ghostbusters was like a true sequel to the movies. Nintendo featured my Mario Maker 2 world. I actually created an entire Mario World game that takes about 4 1/2 hours to complete. It truly feels authentic to a Nintendo made Mario game. I apologize for such a long comment but I really enjoyed your video and had a lot to say/write about it.
You should go!! I spent a whole month in the UK and Scotland and best thing ever did. You can road trip or take the train to different parts of Scotland pretty easily. We chose to fly into London and spend a week and half there and then road trip from there to Inverness and circled back down through Glasgow and stop On Liverpool and totally forgot that Sony had a studio there and I was able to talk to someone there and tried to see if could check it out but no dice lol. He was pretty cool though and told about some things they were doing there. They do a lot game testing. If you love Harry Potter like i do, the WB Harry Potter Studios is just outside of London and if try hard can even snag some same day passes and do the studio tour like we did before making it back to London. It was expensive but worth it. I highly recommend going and exploring both as it is amazing and so much history and beautiful countryside and public transport is way ahead of the states by a country mile. Plan on going back this summer so we can the North Coast 500 as it was off season when where there and didn’t have time plus they had some pretty bad storms in that area coming in.
@@Patrick-tw7nr I grew up near Dublin, I was born in Australia, then we traveled Europe for most of my childhood. I got car sick as a kid on a road trip through Wales. An epic experience my Uncle will never forget lol. It is an amazing place. I have traveled Australia and I am packing to go to North America. Love adventures and video gaming, plus the news.
I love this channel. The familiarity from my days of watching Channel One in the mid '90s makes it a little nostalgic as well. That was you, right? Scotlands gaming community was a complete mystery to me before this video.
I wish i had known you would have been here in scotland clayton would have given you a hug and shook your hand you and your wife are totally amazing real new's👍👍❤️❤️
I definitely fell out of gaming after xbox ps2 time. We used to hook it up at our local movie theater after hours. Mostly halo. Theater vs theater. Since ive been back its been mostly pc but these days most system games can be played on pc.
Your true homeland is calling! Buy that cottage! But a really good video, always good to see Retro games being loved and appreciated. Looks like you got a good selection of games I've played Control, it's a game that doesn't hold your hand, it's brutal.
I played warrior back I'm the ps2 days and it was good but we need a new one. You got a nice haul there. Strider is killer. At that time it was the most memory on a cart at that time. Game on
A lot easier to Retro Game hunt in Scotland and England as I found games for way lower prices in Inverness & Glasgow. They had Resident Evil Code Veronica X for GameCube for like 40 pounds and that same game in the US is 190.00. Since it is region locked, wasn’t worth it for me to buy a GameCube to just to play that game as I have a decent library of GameCube games already. It is definitely cheaper at least for GameCube
Went to some of the places you visited, particularly that castle in Scotland. Absolutely my favorite trip I have ever taken. Also ratchet and clank is one of my favorite series of all time. Highly recommend.
Love the game, fantastic art, the PS3 version is very good, I got lost on the game play mechanic, I am useless at it, but still it's a fine addition to any collection.
It's quite weird after watching your Redacted videos for so long to find out that you're a gamer too. I've been gaming since the Atari VCS/ZX Spectrum era and still have nearly all of my games.

I have one that has been in the family room not being used for a few years now. Earlier this week I thought about playing some 3D games again and maybe this video will be a further push to do it. As for the Control game I have played just a little of it. Definitely some fun game mechanics with it. Anyway enjoy what you got and nice to see you got some games in pretty good condition. Also nice to see you playing Wii U games. That system never got enough love. I have the system sitting in my home collecting dust. I really should get to using it because of this ... "Certain types of storage do need to be turned on every now and then to keep the data properly. If Nintendo used poor memory for the Wii U, chances are after 5 or so years of not using it the data could be gone because there's no electrical charge left (which would brick the system since it includes the system files)" Did you know about this?
