That Hyperclean hotness 🔥 Uno and Dos are effortless to apply. Tre is a rock hard monster too, just takes more attention to apply. Marty and Nick make some killer stuff.
Great video so thank you !!! I have just about every type of quality towels from TRC but I also have the Kirkland towels. I have been using the Kirkland towels for probably 15 years and NEVER had an issue with removing wax, sealants or coatings. They're plenty plush and the results I had gotten over the years were fantastic to say the least. Keep doing what you're doing and pay no attention to the nay sayers.....
Thanks! That’s awesome! I am hearing a lot of detailers now seeing through the marketing scheme or just bad Intel on those Kirkland towels. I think some Detailers just regurgitate what they hear without actually proving it for themselves.
So shiny, you both did another great job. And you are right i have heard a few detailers talk about layering has no benefits, etc.. You said it nicely and makes more sense
Hello, I have already used kirkland signature microfiber for wiping ceramic coatings, and I have not encountered any problems! No micro scratches, no swirls etc...! Even on soft clear coat !.And even after several machine washes with chemical guys microfiber wash + 80ml of white vinegar, they are still soft and fluffy!. But the one that was used for the ceramic coatings, I still relegate them to the plastic, tire or engine compartment just in case.
The controversy video 😆 Seriously though…. Your appreciation for the NSPs really comes through. I’m glad that you and Jess are enjoying a more efficient process as well as increased durability when the paint is corrected with Nano Surface Primers. Thanks, Phil!
Thank you guys for your entertaining videos, you do excellent. I would love to see when you are taking a break having a coffee or eating something, hear you talk about the car you are detailing that day. It would be a lot of fun. Blessings.
Agree Phil many time even a strong pre wash, apc rinse, cannot surly remove a good wax or sealant. Maybe a very old, on the end of its lifetime, or just weakness it. Needs also strong contact wash maybe multiple rounds and a good string paint prep. Try some time dupli color wax remover the soy based version ( plastic bottle) as prep before seal coat maybe you will like it. Great video again, i don't like primers...but who cares...hahahahah Keep up Phil great content ( I shared to my FB page your free training sign-up i hope is ok, maybe some of my viewers is interested) My kind regards
Thanks man. Yeah I’ve tried all the different solvent preps, but found the NSP. Primers to be superior for us. The coatings are looking and preforming better. I believe primer polishes are the future of coating prep. At least I think they should be, it eliminates risk and creates a. better bond. Thanks man!
An idea just popped into my head about the problem you have with latex gloves while coating. How about using thin leather driving gloves? The benefits would be that they absorb sweat naturally and can protect your hands from coatings. I wouldn't think it would be harmful to paint, it's not like you're trying to touch the paint during a coating.
Hi Phil, awesome video! I love to see how you and your wife take good care of your vehicle. Could you please let us know how often per year you would go through this complete process incl. polishing? I have a new X5 2024 and know that at some point I will have swirl marks that I will want like to take care of. Thank you and keep it up!
Hi. Thanks. So this process is our ceramic coating service. Depending on the coating it can last 2 or more years. But as far as polishing to remove swirls usually if you do a light polish or paint enhancement on once a year or so it’s fine. You don’t want to do a full paint correction each time, but at least a light polish will help remove minor swirls that just come from washing it through the year.
Amazing job on the BMW, Phil and Jess, thanks for sharing! Incidentally, I've had the same experience with some of the "lower-end" microfiber towels, they work great for coatings, and after that, they get put in the "engine bay towels" bin to extend their life a bit. Anyhow, thanks again for sharing, keep up the great content, and have a great day!
Professional detailer here and I only use Kirkland microfiber towels. I also got a bad batch one time and just used them for the interior. Great advice Miranda. Love your videos. Been watching you for years. And ny black cat Domingo says, meow.😎🐈⬛
Hi Phil & Jess - thanks for the coating storage tip! I have a bottle of CanCoat (used once about 10 months ago) and an unopened/unsealed bottle of Mohs that I bought a year ago. Both are stored in a basement closet. Both still have shake up without any issue. Do you think they’re still useable?
Hey Phil, do you apply tire dressing before or after the coating? Also, does it matter if you apply the coating to the windshield after the paint coating, or should you do it before?
Hi. It doesn’t really matter that much, just personal choice. Usually I like to coat the wheels first then the next day dress the tires. For the windshield I like to do it first so I don’t have to lean over the paint.
Hey Phil and Jess, Great job as always! Just curious if using a towel damp with rinseless would help remove the residue of the nsp polishes or if that would be at odds with the primer.
Hi. You could but I wouldn’t want to add any other product besides the NSP on the paint, you could use just DI Water damped towel and that could work also. But I’ve learn to work with the NSP’s polishes and the residue doesn’t bother me anymore.
For most people that actually pay attention to detail a ceramic coating, in my opinion, is an easier application than a traditional wax. Prep is key and your video is awesome. Similar to wanting to try several brands I find myseld buying more stuff just because..... 😂😂
I find the idea of using a polish/primer very useful and practical to avoid the use of additional products and the risk of affecting already polished paint. But there are two things that make me doubt: first, I think it is necessary to have good experience to recognize when the surface is already sufficiently polished and the marring that is observed comes from the product and not from insufficient polishing; and second, I am concerned about the possible residues left in the product when polishing before applying the coating (I may be wrong 😅). #Detailglovebox
Hi. Yeah I used to feel the same way...we have been working with the NSP polishes now for about 3 years and have really seen the benefit of those. Not everyone is on board yet with them. But I truly think coating companies should develop primer polishes like NSP for their own coatings. Not only will it speed the process up, but eliminate risk of marring with panel wipes. I hope other companies catch on!
Yeah you can use whatever compound you want to do your normal paint correction step if you want and just finish with NSP45 as your final polish. And no need to panel wipe in between or at the end.
Wifey Jessica is the one that definitely was looking cool today with that expectation of shine on the polishing 😁😁😁 something that people always forget is read about the products they are going to use and their characteristics like trim staining when polishing. As easy as also calling the manufacturer for this, just that simple.
@@MirandaDetailingyes, I don't know why people don't like the Kirkland's microfiber towels but I have also used them for paint on any purpose. For coatings, I prefer the foam applicators or the small microfiber applicators because my hands are small, when I have used the rectangular microfiber applicator, I use like half of it. The other person I have seen using the same technique I use is Jason Otterness😁
Beautiful job I really enjoy this video.

Hey bro! Have you detailed a BMW i4 yet? A friend just got one and wants it detailed and coated. Hw if you had any experience and tips for that car.
Hi. Nope we haven’t. But don’t worry. Treat it like any other vehicle.

Hi. I would do a test spot on section with them to see how they apply. They should be ok.
Nice car. The color is beautiful for this vehicle. Is it a electric model?
Yes it is!
I recently got my first pack of Kirkland microfibres after seeing your videos and I was pleasantly surprised by them, can’t beat them for the price

What do you use for the rubber/plastic trim that’s around the windows?
Hi. At minute mark 26:19 we show Carpro DLUX which is used on wheels and plastic and rubber trim.
Have you ever used the Dr Beasley Z1
Hi. I have and it’s ok, but it’s harder to wipe off than the regular NSP polishes.
Could i do 2 step start with normal compound panel wipe then use 45 to finish before coating ? Its not cheap so thinking buy 45 rather than 150 too
Yeah you can use whatever compound you want to do your normal paint correction step if you want and just finish with NSP45 as your final polish. And no need to panel wipe in between or at the end.
@@MirandaDetailing o ok i wasn't sure if needed wipe down before the 45 It really looks to make difference tho. Happy new year
Hey guys,
Do I need to wet the pad while applying this?And..Do you believe I could do my entire truck with just one polishing pad? Thanks!
Hi. No, no need rto prime or get the pad wet. one pea size drop and thats it. one pad i also fine for an entire vehicle.
@@MirandaDetailingok..thank you!
Wow that X5 looked incredible. I've always like how you don't stick to one brand.
Thanks! 😎👍🏼
So we can compound with some other brand polish, and then without anything, just do the next step by 45?
Hi. Yes exactly. Use whatever compound you like to cut and remove heavy swirls and use the NSP polishes to finish polish and prime before coating.
@@MirandaDetailing thanks! 😁 Soo that generates another question : is there any purpose of using 150?
@walenrod17 I only use 150 for spot cutting if I do t feel like using a regular compound. We primarily use 45 and very rarely 95.
@@MirandaDetailing awesomly suits to my logic. Thanks a lot! 😁
