The music judges wayyyy underscored their book.
they were more dirty than they shouldve been
I loved their overall musical package, but they didn't execute well enough to do better competitively.
No they were perfect!!!
Broken city 4 life
@@King_Juhrama they debatably had the hardest music, so many open spaces. Crazy hard stuff
I am an ocean, I am a knife
Waves to drown in, edges to fight
(You know I really want to save you)
Heaven knows I’ll give you hell
(You’re not alone)
(Show yourself - I want to see what you’re made of)
(Heaven and Hell - Show yourself)
(You’re not alone)
Misunderstood. I'd changed it if I could
I used to pray, not as much these days
God help me, God help us all
So the old me dies
So the new one can live
Back to life
It's turning
Tide's turning
I'm an ocean
I got the lyrics wrong. I thought the show was about being swayed to follow a different ideology when really you have to look into yourself and see what you wanna follow. But now it seems like it’s more about your true self being chipped away and you’re made into someone different
@@cuttingham_1232 This show is definitely the most Christian influenced Broken City show. If you don't know, Adam Watts actually is a music professor at a Christian college. This very clearly is talking about a topic called sanctification.
Fucking BEAUTIFUL congratulations guys
1:32 BASS 6 NOOOOO
looks like they use the evans hybrid drumset head, is it the same to the evans hybrid marching snare drum head?
Shot rolls go crazy
Errant was here
3:18
Dude no way they actually peaked the mic @ 0:54 😂
quads were rough ngl
The "God Help us all" moments are so powerful, I love it (I commented late because I basically forgot this show existed, even though I saw it in UD), genuinely one of my favorite shows
Broken City continues to have the most impactful and musical books in PIW. They literally make art though the median of Indoor Percussion.
Not really. It feels like their book never reaches a climax. It just perpetually builds up to nothing.
Their 2018 and 2019 books were pretty great and everything after that just wasn’t there for me
@@thenelsonbruhs722it’s hard to top 2019 broken city
@@thenelsonbruhs722 does a show need to have a climax in order to be musical? either way i consider the "god help us" to be the climax and honestly i love it
5:49 noooo. right in the silence too :(
Compadre handled the recovery well, though. Good for him!
@@circle275 Abel’s a beast
@@circle275 ❤
@@mel-px7hl ❤
Recovery so good made it look like it was choreographed 👏🏽
5:31 is actually majestiflc
killed me when the camera focused on the snare instead of the bass feature 5:00
6:30
Probably the fastest 4 mallet run I’ve seen
3:25
4:30 that ending is SO unique and cool sounding
Gawd I love Roger Carter's writing and their playing style.
Superb
Mike Jackson writes the Battery book for Broken City
@@brandonbrownmusic4544 Roger is responsible for the snare breaks though. That's why they stand out so much from everything else.
Drop the @ for the marimba all the way to the left 🥵
😐
