My Destiny was my first TVXQ milestone, turning from a regular listener to a Cassiopeia. JaeJoong had also been my only bias for 10 years since (then 2018 came and I fell hard for YunHo but that's another story).
I don't think I'd ever noticed the line distribution back then, cause their voices always harmonised and supporting each other so well. Now that I've watched a handful of your videos, I realised My Destiny was a rare among my absolutely favourite songs, considering how disproportionately distributed the line was. Other die-hard songs are quite evenly distributed - Taxi, Stand by U, Bolero, With all my heart,... the list goes on.
I love to watch your videos as it reminds me of old times sitting in front of the garden, quitely listening their songs from my little mp3 player, listening carefully figuring out whose line it was and foretelling whose line would be next. I enjoyed every single seconds of their songs and could detect the song name just by listening less than 5 notes. Those precious moments lost through time as I grew up and had more and more responsibilities... I could still recognise most of their work of 20 years, though for some I would definitely take longer. I rarely listen to their songs nowadays not doing some mundane stuffs, like folding laundry or walking back from groceries, and rarely have time to truly pay 100% attention to enjoy their songs the way I did.
Thanks to you, now I would sometimes visit your videos during my break time, just quitely watching and at times feel surprised how the line distribution was totally different from what I was expected (like seriously I thought YooChun sang so much of With all my heart or ChangMin would at least do half of Taxi).

u know you're right about back then when we listen to their music we just go as it is and enjoy the godly harmonizing and figure out who's sing what, no one's paying any attention to distribution on those days. frankly when line distribution became a thing in K-pop fandom (and then create chaos as well) I thought, meh why you wanna count what they sing? to what end you expect it to be?
but! when I stumbled upon certain random_k's line distribution video in 2020 I kind of curious what TVXQ's one will turn out and apparently there's already some humble amount of them in UA-cam and I decided to add them!
fyi: the very first idea came from random_k's format where the lyrics shaped like members are having a chat, I just can't help but to fantasize what ifs for our TVXQ *crying imagine the feels if I use that chatting format! *biting my fist
anyway I'm glad my mini channel becomes something that can be enjoyed and people find out what's behind the harmonization and all. thank u so much for fueling me with amazing comments. I really adore them! ♡

​@@daburu The funny thing I found is that, line distribution has a totally different meaning for current K-pop fans, indeed reflecting the crazy distinct fandom cultures.
The line distribution was solely based on suitability of members, and even as a person knowing absolutely nothing about music, I can tell that it is truth for TVXQ. I think we usually see line distrubution as a proof of TVXQ's legendary teamwork. It's useless to compare who's more important for the group based on line distribution, as they supported each other so damn well and I always feel each song would "push" one member to be the most memorable voice (results may vary on listeners lol). I was a crazy JaeJoong bias but I went nuts for YunHo in Darkness Eyes, YooChun in With all my Heart, ChangMin in Taxi, JunSu in Love is, etc... (and it has nothing to do with line distribution, they didn't even get the most lines in those songs)
Now they just make line distribution a competition among members. It feels like a mean to support fanwars to push album sales. Showing off your purchasing power to get "justice" for your one and only one bias (akgae is probably a more accurate term). Time for akgae culture to shine I guess... I absolute hate the idea of "X and other members" but well, this is what they get for forming groups based on popularity rather than skills... But who am I to judge? You do you, they do them. I'm just here enjoying my exquisite taste of freaking great teamwork lol.
I went to watch random_k's Mirotic line distribution and tbh even though it's a pretty video, I don't like it. A quick wander around the chanel also gave me the impression that it is a part of the line distribution competition... random_k's methodology simply matches the new culture better than TVXQ. "X / all" wouldn't do TVXQ's justice. So if only YC & CM sing together, who's X, who's all? And if all 5 voices are in chorus with JJ screaming (sorry I don't know the term in English), then who's all and who's X?
I'm so grateful you've decided to start your own channel. It's selfish but I'd rather fans do their songs than some other random K-pop fan... Don't think a non-fan can (and frankly even care enough to) figure out who were singing rather than refer as "ALL" when TVXQ's harmonising - their voices blended too well. Even fans would mistake their stand-alone voice sometimes. It kills me every time I think about the arguments about "lonely people" vs. "longway before" and JunSu vs. YunHo said the line "boku no..." something (You were my world) after YooChun's "just look at me now" in Kiss shita mama Sayonara. Like sure the former I get it, best of both worlds, it was "longway people", but fighting over JunSu or YunHo??? You can't even tell that it is no way no where in this universe that it would be JunSu??? Interestingly I think you can still find some online comments regarding this on dbskarchives now. Guess we didn't afford that much time & devices back then to know their voices well? Idk...
Sorry for another long comment. I got extra emotional these days. It's kinda sad for me as it's not easy talking about TVXQ's songs with people. I just haven't found the right folks. I love seeing my newfeed filled with their photos/videos of charming, funny, cute moments and career updates, but I'm just more of the boring side wanting to discuss about songs... Sometimes I forgot after all TVXQ members are idols/singers, not just singers lol...

@@ngoctramle1999 as a fan of 2nd gen K-pop, I'm absolutely agree with line distribution being arranged according to what a member would suitable of and I also believe that applies to TVXQ as well. a slight glimpse about what behind the distribution is talked by K.Will, one of Hug producer, that he distributes the line for the boys. also recently I got to see Bigeast Station where they discussed about what's behind NO? recording and Changmin said that they talked with the director and even picked themselves their favourite lines to sing. I mean, how cool is that? they've chosen and given a line that represents them the most and of course capable of executing it even when the song was performed live.
I think the meaning of line distribution to 'fans' nowadays is indeed changing from who's the more suitable for the line and who's in charge doing this and that to fairer distribution and sometimes yes I agree being popular member is somehow a plus (tho I believe there are various opinions as well ^^)
anyway in my case it's just a mere curiosity about TVXQ's line dist and it turned out I enjoyed the editing process and making new video plus sometimes someone like you would stop by give their sweet opinion in comment section so, yes, feel free to share your thoughts in it! I always loved listening to their voices since more than a decade ago, differentiate between before and after who's singing, differentiate every verses and choruses and ad-libs because even for a short period of them as five they have vast discography so I can say I have nothing to complain. I'm also grateful back then they have like 3-5 minutes long duration for a song and 11 or more songs included in one album.
so I assumed that fans who got their voice wrong at that time is a young fans who is still learning or just young in general as I was pre-teen when discovered them. but it was a lot of fun discussing their favourite music from their favourite band, right? even I admit was entertained by reading different opinions when I was searching for the lyrics haha also for the infamous 'Longway people' or 'Lonely people' gosh I also don't know the truth as I still couldn't find a proper T booklet! but legit site like utaten proofs they never go wrong in sharing Tohoshinki's lyrics, so accurate even to the dots and commas. I know enough cuz I always matched them with some booklets I've found :)
