Which brush did you use for the moon specifically? I struggle so hard making crescent moons, partially because I haven't found the right brush to use yet.
I used the princeton long round brush in size 8!! It’s a big brush but it has the sharpest tip so it’s great for both small details/covering big areas!
It really depends, not exactly with the same technique as I showed here but you can definitely paint a similar looking painting with watercolors too. But if you are a beginner, I would definitely suggest you to find a tutorial specifically meant for watercolors :)
