Then again, Testament (from 1983, with Jane Alexander and William Devane) scared the crap out of me. I had nightmares for a week. No wonder I stay away.... ;)
Cheryl B well I’ll just say that The Shining is great not just as a horror movie, but a movie in general. It’s more of a character study if anything, and really sticks with your after you watch it. Plus it’s what got me into the horror genre, to this day no movie has topped the Shining imo.

He bellows, his voice cracking low to a groan.
Acting is way better... but I mean the shining is a 1980s movie and they didnt have ewan McGregor back them.. but Jack Nicholson was that ewan McGregor back then I think it had a better storyline but that's my opinion. I didnt quite get why the people that shined had to eat other people shine... that was never a thing on the og.

I think the storyline between books and movies are a bit diffrent idk, and i asume the people that eat from other shineing people aren't regular people and are like in a cult (the true knot) they became "imortal" somehow and need to eat from other people to stay imortal.

@@lucagiovanetti9870~ I'm basically a wimp, so I stay away. I did joke all the way through The Exorcist; I just thought it a bit silly. Silence of the Lambs (is that horror?) was kind of tedious. Then again, Testament (from 1983, with Jane Alexander and William Devane) scared the crap out of me. I had nightmares for a week. No wonder I stay away.... ;)

Cheryl B well I’ll just say that The Shining is great not just as a horror movie, but a movie in general. It’s more of a character study if anything, and really sticks with your after you watch it.
Plus it’s what got me into the horror genre, to this day no movie has topped the Shining imo.

I think the storyline between books and movies are a bit diffrent idk, and i asume the people that eat from other shineing people
aren't regular people and are like in a cult (the true knot) they became "imortal" somehow and need to eat from other people to stay imortal.
