I can purchase 6 Continental Tubes (on sale) for the price of one Pirelli tube, so cheap I don’t bother with repairing them i just replace them. ⚡️🚴🏻‍♂️👍🏼

I was about to buy the ride now inner tubes and watched your other video where you were a bit angry for having punctured everything. Saw you repaired the Pirelli's. Well I told myself, this is real life situation. Then I searched for the results of your repair. Watching this one, it must had work. Ok, I'll try. And I'll buy the patches as well. We'll see. Thanks for your videos, they seem real nice.

I’m still running the Pirelli TPU’s just need to be a bit careful installing them, can get caught up by the lever when installing. Apart from that they’re working great on both 700/35 and 700/28, winter and summer bike. Cheers😊👍

I apreciate your time and review. I myself have had a great experience with Pirelli tires, especially with the SL race. I race time trials and I couldnt be more pleased. I run them tubeless with silca sealant and no punctures this season. I am yet to try the TPU inner tubes, to be honest, whats interesting for me is their size. I may buy 2 or 3 to carry with me if I get a puncture that I can not repair with plugs. In regards to their customer service its a shame they dont deal with the costumer direcly. Anyway thanks for your review.

I’m about to do a video recommending TPU tubes to tubeless riders😁 I ride tubeless on my gravel bike, 700/40 and well you already know weight and size saving😉 Thanks for dropping by and appreciate your feedback on the Pirelli tyres😊👍

Hi James, I was the guy who asked for your help with Smart Tubes and Tyre Glider. You even made a video on it. Just to let you know, after 3 months of riding in the worst winter conditions in living memory, I had not one, but two punctures, in 5 days. I followed your tips, and I delighted to say, both tube swaps went smoothly. Job done.😎

@@JamesSocialCycling James, I just successfully repaired the punctured TPU. To check for any other punctures, I inflated it a little and left it overnight. The result was a bulge in the tube. Seems my 'little' was too much. I let it down and the area that was bulged is stretched, but doesn't look too bad. Do you think it's safe to use?

I’ve never seen these before James but they look great and I might be tempted to try them out. I did used to have the Pirelli P Zero tyres and they were superb, I think Amy has them now on one of her wheel sets.

They only came to my attention in March Mark. You do have cheaper aliexpress versions which some do rate, but I haven’t had a good experience with them. But I’ll stand by my words, best Tyre and Tube combo I’ve ridden, Pirelli P Zero Road and these TPU tubes. Thanks for dropping by mate, hope you’re well😊👍

Pirelli's customer service does sound pretty good there. We all experience issues from time to time with products, it's how companies deal with them that's important, and it never fails to amaze me how many companies just don't get it! But Pirelli sound switched on, so thumbs up to them for seeing you right.

Been watching your previous videos on this tubes, much appreciate your reviews on them.
I just order new EVO model. Did you try them yet? Couldn't find any good reviews yet what is the difference only what is said on Pirelli site, 5% faster, etc.

Hi Tom, thanks for the feedback. Do you mean the EVO tyres? I’m riding the Pirelli p Zero Road tyres that have the EVO compound. I do talk about them here. ua-cam.com/video/s7_K4RqaxxE/v-deo.htmlsi=QMAmnuBqc3kCdLWv

How are they for holding pressure? When i was running tubeless they needed a daily top up. Running butyl tubes now and weekly top ups required.

    • @JamesSocialCycling
      @JamesSocialCycling  11 місяців тому +1

I only needed to put around 5 psi of air in a week. Though it was hard for me not to check every ride, force of habit😁 thanks for the question take care😊👍

Thanks for your review James. We run tubeless on all bikes, carry all different essentials for punctures including the last resort of putting in a tube. Will probably look into these. My question is we also carry spare tubes for the Gravel H tyres. Do you use these in your Gravel H? Would free up some space in our saddlebags. We love our Pirelli road & gravel tyres. Cheers 👍 (ps will you be doing a review on your Garmin front light sometime in the future?)

Hi Gez, thanks for dropping by😊 You will need to look at this www.merlincycles.com/pirelli-cinturato-smart-inner-tube-700c-251966.html?PHG&source=PHG&Affiliates& I am running tubeless on my Topstone as well as feel more confident with the bigger tyre, but have ordered one of these to put in my smaller bar bag when it comes😊 Grad this as well www.merlincycles.com/pirelli-smartube-patch-kit-272756.html as you’ll need it, different glue and plenty of patches. Hope that helps, as the bigger tubes are different name. Yes I will be looking to do a review on the light, going to have to read up on it as its toying with my emotions paired up with the Garmin, so going to make sure I am using it correctly first🫣😁 Take care 😊👍

@@JamesSocialCycling bless you. It’s definitely got quite cold of late. When I rode Thursday it was enough. The body uses more energy to keep warm. You’re doing fab, trust the process (I find that hard sometimes myself 😂) and you have your move too. It’s amazing how our bodies bounce back. Keep on healing ❤️‍🩹

Thanks. Agree but there are certain things I won't spend much money on. One of them is TPU tubes. We should be able to buy a box of 30 TPU tubes for $10. A TPU tube costs ~ 3 cents to make! Cheap should be cheap. Cheap should not be expensive! Pirelli road bike tires are terrible in the wet, just ask Tadej Pogačar whose team dropped Pirelli as a sponsor. I enjoy your videos!

I normally ride the Cinturato Velo tyres 700/32 for winter and have done for the last 2 seasons(this season riding Cinturato Gravel H) I’ve had no problems as expect pro teams were riding the race tyres. Even the cheap Chinese branded TPU’s aren’t that cheap. Cheers appreciate you dropping by😊👍
