Stihl MS 661C Magnum Chainsaw...A Quick Review

Here’s a quick little review of our thoughts on our new Stihl MS 661C-M Magnum chainsaw. We decided to upgrade one of our chainsaws. We went from a Stihl MS 391 to a Stihl MS 661C-M Magnum as we are getting into some larger trees.
The 661 was a great saw! It had plenty of power to handle a 57” in diameter oak. We took it out on its maiden voyage about a hour after we picked it up. The large dogs were a great added bonus as they really dug into the bark, which help with grip and relieving some of the extra weight of the saw.
What I didn’t mention in the video was the weight difference between the two saws. The 391 fully loaded with fuel and oil weighs about 17lbs, were as the 661 fully loaded weighs in at around 22lbs depending on bar size.
All in all the 661 Magnum gets a big thumbs up from up, we look forward to many more videos where we can show off what it can do. With this chainsaw, having a lack of power is never a concern!!
