Perfect ending. And the end of an era. You could never make a show remotely like that again. Whatever else Joss Whedon was, he was a masterful storyteller. One of the best.
Simultaneously one of the best and most maddening endings to a tv show ever. Fades to black just as the final battle starts; but it shows that the fight against evil never ends. They can’t “beat” evil, so they might as well literally go out swinging.
Love it. The fight for redemption never ends. Neither does the struggle to make a real difference. But the only option for those with conviction is to try against all odds anyway. The act of trying...the effort...is what matters.
It was Bad that they had been intimate twice anda one only Angel remembers it because it was erased. They curse was they curse they couldn't be happy no matter how much they love each other.
Angel played his part so well that not even Giles' coven could see that he wasn't actually turning evil. Plus he probably thought the same thing Buffy did, that if they got past them, her group would be the only team left to stop them. But I agree, it would have been pretty dang epic, especially with Andrew rollin' up and probably saying something dorky he thought was cool!
There was a whole series of comics after this, like three more seasons, also from Buffy, but I not known if they are still viable, because my portable hardrive broke, I lost it all of them.
After watching it that 1st time, i kind of theorized that the Dragon could've been one of the hellgods that banished glory. Like how glory was called the beast, the dragon could've had the form of a dragon, but also a human form that we never saw. Never happened though because of After the Fall, we know exactly what happens.
when I watched this as it aired I hated the ending. I felt like it was a giant middle finger to the fans. I still think it's one of the worst endings ever. I loved the show so much, I just hated the ending. I know it continued in the comics, but still... but the GoT ending made this one seem almost good. 😆
I miss these shows but |I also hate some of the cast they would be no where today without Joss he pushed them to be their best and now they bitch about it.
You mean "bitching" about all the abuse and bile Charisma Carpenter got thrown her way just because she had the 'audacity' to keep her pregnancy, which is no one else's business btw, under wraps out of fear of miscarriage? Even when she called Joss to explain and he ignored her multiple times until it was too late and he blamed her for his ass-backwards behaviour? Yeah, no, you're right: the cast are awful for sticking up for their friend...
@@UnfunnyJ0CK Wow shocking why would he be angry because an actor decided to get pregnant while they were shooting causing delays, re-writes, re-casting, etc. If they feel so salty about it then they should return all the money and fame they achieved since this show launched most of them into the Hollywood light.
Cordelia should still alive and stay by her husband Angel's side at final episode. Angel: "Can you pick two words there probably you should said? (He vamp out) Blood and veins." (He goes leaves Wolfram&Hart) Angel and Cordelia see Connor leaves. Cordelia shocked while Connor calls her Mom. It's remind her of she hold him, clothing him, changing his diapers, help Angel raises Connor, she loves him like a son of her own. Honestly I think getting season six would’ve been better, but that’s because I read the comic series about after the final fight

Angel is one of the most underrated TV shows ever. A true masterclass!
Even if he is a wee puppet Man 😉❤
The first season was really good. As was the last and I loved the way it ended. But the problem was the middle seasons just kind of felt forced.

It's been over 20 years of the finale...
It still gets me every time I watch it...

This last scene made me my eyes sweat and gave me a reason to smile as a fan of the series.
That ending to the series was absolutely amazing. It summed up the whole series perfectly. 👍

One of the best lines to end a series ever. Too bad so many of them died though.....😢

I still think this is the best ending 'Angel' ever had.
