So glad I transferred to Dartmouth after my sophomore year back in 1983.
I feel bad for my WC classmates who will never had the opportunities that I’ve had.

      What kind of opportunities?

@@elliews3647 most of the people who graduated from Whitman had minimal job prospects, often having to start out with minimum wage jobs. At Dartmouth, the walls of the career center were covered with job listings from all over the world, including employers offering to pay for grad school. I’d say Dartmouth grads have the world at their feet and Whitman grads can look forward to making coffee at Starbucks. That’s just for starters.

@@4evrnick Thank you for sharing the insight! When I was looking at the average salary of the graduates, I did notice that Whitman graduates were paid much lower than other schools, even lower than the schools with lower ranking. Your answer explained why. What do you think Whitman Career Center can do to improve? What can the students do to get a better job while they are at Whitman? My son is going to Whitman this fall, so this is my concern.

@@elliews3647 I have no idea. I’m not a career development specialist. I just know from my personal experience.
