Hey man, my files are only being "partially recovered" instead of "fully recovered". There's no video image when I play the file back, and the audio is very corrupted and noisy. ANY SUGGESTIONS???
DO NOT use the card after deleting the files, before doing this... If you use the card before trying to recover the deleted files, you WILL NOT be able to. Very important point to mention and a lesson we learned the hard way....

Today the 31st of May 2023 a Wednesday I watched this video and used the software and thought I couldn't get it to work at all it does HOWEVER and I got a substantial chunk of my files(from November 2013-March 2018) BUT: 1. They weren't in order ie random dates proceeding one another so very hard to classify by dates 2. Not all files were recovered (I got 7.6 GB of .jpg files and above 2 GB others) 3. Some were incomplete or partial files only This is with the FREE version though and I must say though the video is 2 years old it's worked well considering other programs I'd downloaded didn't allow me to recover even 1 file so yes it's worth it!
My case is different, I did the mistake by sharing an SD card with a goPro 5 and a goPro 4. I started with the goPro 5 to record some other video . Then I put in the card into the later camera to record video from a flight. The case of the goPro 5 was not working, so I did not want to loose the goPro5 during take off and landing. After landing, I put the SD Card back into the 5. on the train home I saw that the footage from the 4 became less and less. Then at home, I saw that no more footage of the 4 is left and the 5 overwrote every video during the flight shot. Recuva works for my case, but a lot of files from the gp4 can't be played anymore. This also happens with other programmes. Deletion can occur even if you did not do that actively. My PSA is: Buy two SD cards for two cameras.
So With My Experience, Recuva Did The Job But Sadly My Past Files Are Not Recoverable... I Mean I Did Accidentally Recorded A Little But Didn't Knew It'll Overwrite All Of The Files...

Might try this software soon. Just waiting for a scan on a third software tried to finish to see if I can actually recover, or they will try to charge money for it or not. Most software let you scan and find the files, not but recover. First time around, I was scanning my SD card and realized that it must have been overwritten since it was a few weeks back and I have used the card a lot since.. but luckily I remembered that I captured the files on an old card, that has barely been used since. Seems like my lost files are indeed there now (and I will remember to try to recover much sooner next time - anyways)

Did not work because the file directory on my SD card is wiped. I know the data is there, other recovery programs have located it, but then they want crazy money for a version that will recover it. A program crashed and that somehow wiped the directory.

Did not work because the file directory on my SD card is wiped. I know the data is there, other recovery programs have located it, but then they want crazy money for a version that will recover it.
A program crashed and that somehow wiped the directory.

I mistakenly format my sd card on my tablet instead of external usb storage and then after 5 sec i realised and immediately turned off my tablet and removed the sd card from slot and restart the tablet but then it's too late all date of 240gb already gone 😢 could i please recover it again?
