He's used to play Chitrali sitar, and the songs have been performed in the eastern dialect of Kate-veri. not at all, East Iranics arrive much later and actually pushed these people into their current locations, they are part of the same wave which brought the Indo Aryans, which makes sense they cluster in with Kalash, who are Indo Aryans. Linguistically they have features of both, but their own unique phonemes ,I would say it skews on being influenced by Dardic /Indo Aryan languages, because they are surrounded by Pashai, Kho , Gojars.
