Typical politician, evasive at most especially when pressed by Sol about load shedding, "do you want it or not, was her weak response." Be it on the internet, tenders etc, zero accountability. Sol made a valid points, i.e one being on how they convince investors BMW, Ford etc to invest where load shedding is a big setback/issue, she digressed/wriggled out without an answer and started waffling on about Pakistan blah blah blah, she lived there for a year, load shedding malarkey😫.
I found her to be defensive and she definitely watched what she said(, gave as little as possible but still managing to make it appear as if she was saying much🤔.
Sol, you're a genius👌🏽, proved her wrong yet again about supporting local brands/you were dressed in local garms99%, I bet she wasn't expecting that.

Honestly one thing I took from this interview is that we need young people in positions of power. Because we really need fresh and new ideas the further progress this country. And this lady is testament to that.
We live in a very different world. The world now is different from the world back then. We can't keep putting the same people in pour and expecting different results.
If the people in power have failed the improve and progress the economy and the country than why are we still putting them in power and hoping it works out.
We need to want better for ourselves and respectfully. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
We need something different. We need a different type of thinking/mindset/innovative ideas to facilitate the era that we are in rn. We need change, and obviously change comes with its trials and tribulations. And even the change fails the only way we can progress and grow is to learn from those failures. But we can sit and hope that things are going to change if we don't try and make the change happen.

    At the very end...
ANC LADY: Sol, How many beers did you have? You killed the whole case!
SOL: Kelly Khumalo. Killed the whole case.

A politian who sounds like they know what she is talking about, didnt mention her political party over and over infact she only metioned it after 1:25min, didnt bash other political parties. Positive vibes only. Tazneem Motara is a true patriot.

1:14:48 “Chinese do everything in China” I can attest to that as a South African that is currently based in China. However I anticipated the MEC to highlight that China being a communist nation plays a massive role in Chinese people not having an issue to do things in China, no matter what the responsibility is. Chinese are micro-managed and have cultivated a culture of patriotism that’ll never have them thinking twice about serving their country. Can we say the same about SA? There’s a greater conversation to be had about rights in SA and how a capitalist society may be contributing to a failed state and an entitled people. In no way am I against a liberated people with rights, however it’s also important to not be too carried away about how much ‘things work in other countries, and seeing that things work there’ - without being aware of what makes them work as far as their people and how they function is concerned.

henda!! chillers, listening to 08:12 Sol asked a very important question, how does National Government play catch up with Provincial government, MEC should've mentioned the important role of Parliament (specifically the National Council of Provinces (NCOP)) that is where MECs and Ministers and MPs sit and discuss Provincial work of MECs and the National work of Ministers and Deputy Ministers.
the NCOP is the key of communication between the Provinces and National government! asbonge!!
