One last small comment. I just pulled out my Original Skippy Badge, still polished and in perfect condition. One of the proudest moments of my life. 18yrs old and through Singo in winter 🥶 when Singo was a Gladiator School but was never backsquaded and Marched into 6RAR as a young digger who was lucky enough to have a section of older diggers who gave me the chance to prove myself. I made sure I was always first in runs etc and always did washing, ironing and cleaning for anyone who needed something done. After about 5-6 months I was sat down by my Seco and told that I was a good fit for the section which made me try harder. Do people know why the Australian Coat of Arms are held by a Kangaroo and an Emu? A few reasons. 1:Both are native to Australia. 2: Australia is always looking forward. Both the Emu and Kangaroo are unable to move backwards. That second one can be seen in a couple of ways. Australia always looks forward. Also we never go backwards. And my final comment is that I have heard rumours that the battle of DERAPET is going to be added to 6RARs Battle Honours. First since LONG TAN and again Delta Coy. RIP Crash. DUTY FIRST 🇦🇺

An absolutely fantastic stream Cas. Noticed your hearts and bunny's DPCUs mate. What do you think of the new AMCUs? And yes I think, if you have the time, a follow up on this stream tomorrow would be great. I've directed a few young fellas into your AO as they keep asking me questions and I don't have the gift of the gab like you. I do my best, but my best is see In The Trenches With Cas for all your questions. I end up scaring them off. I was asked to do a small ANZAC Day Service talk for my boys primary school. Two things happened that concerned me. One was that when I mentioned Palestine and France, barely anyone knew we were even there and secondly and one which hit a nerve was when a yr6 student asked me how many people I had killed. I was literally lost for words. Thankfully the Principal came to my rescue and told the young fella that sort of question should never be asked. But Gallipoli they knew inside out but I mention Beersheba, Pozieres, Menin Road and especially Villers-Bretonneux and N'oublions jamais l'Australie ["Let us never forget Australia "] when the ANZAC Corps and a few battered Canadian Btns held the line during the spring offensive in 1918, where Germany nearly won the war, they had no idea what I was talking about. I learned all this by yr4 primary school as I'm sure you did to. Reminded me of the song by John Paul Young, Yesterday's Hero's, because soon we will be the same. OK Gallipoli will always be remembered as the first time since Federation that Australian troops AIF went to war alongside our Kiwi brothers. But unless they start teaching the kids our history then as I said, we will become Yesterday's Hero's as well. Not that I am a hero by any stretch of the imagination, but to my boys I am. Having Liam whisper in my ear after laying our wreath ANZAC Day that he's proud of me nearly brought me to tears. God bless him. He was so proud marching down Hannan St during the March, which I haven't done since I was discharged, wearing my Dads medals and my dog tags 🙂 he looked proud and strong. I was very proud of both of them, though Finn didn't want to March. I'll have to send you some photos of us all together. Finn couldn't grasp that the medals he was wearing are over 100yrs old. 1914-15 Star, War Medal and Victory Medal. Back then they engraved not just name and Regimental or Pmkeys but your Battalion as well. Sorry, I'm writing a story again. Anyway brother, fantastic stream. Looking forward to tomorrow if your up to it. DUTY FIRST

Great uploads mate.. I have a suggestion for a future video for you!! Why is it the RAN and RAAF ain't doing R&D for Australia's future, I'm only a member of the public so I can't so I'm an expert but one thing that I can't understand is why the RAN and RAAF are purchasing everything over seas, why ain't Australia building our own? Is it the RAN and RAAF don't know how to? As a member of the public it's hard to fully support the RAN and RAAF when they don't build anything fully Australian.. I feel like the RAN and RAAF are just wasting money buying stuff from over seas, I feel like we need to sack most of upper management and start with people that believe in Australian built, people that believe that's the future for Australia because I feel like if we don't start building our own from the ground up now then our future generations have no hope in the future. No disrespect to America when I say this but when I see an Australian pilot flying an American plane I feel like it's just wrong, That's something I couldn't fully support but if the Australian pilots we're flying an Australian plane then I could be proud and fully support that. Sorry for any spelling mistakes I do have a medical condition for that. I just wanna see Australian built and anyone that say's otherwise we should sack and start fresh
Aaron almost nothing Army has is built in Australia even the F88 Steyr was an Austrian weapon it's all about capability and Australia doesn't have enough time or money for the R & D to build & create in Australia not to mention Australia are really fucking horrible at almost everything when it comes to over quoting jobs on things and get undercut by excellent companies that already have off the shelf ready to go equipment that can be modified then utilized.
