Kalam (Kalami, Pashto, & Urdu: کالام) is a valley located 99 kilometres (62 mi) from Mingora in the northern upper section of Swat Valley along the banks of the Swat River in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.The Swat River was formed as a result of the confluence of two major tributaries, the Gabral and Ushu river.
Usho (also spelled Ushu) is a village in Usho Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is situated 8 kilometers (5.0 mi) from Kalam and 123 kilometers (76 mi) km from Mingora, at the height of 2,300 meters (7,550 feet). It is accessible through a non metalled road from Kalam by jeeps only.
