I’ve seen all the videos and negative comments about the tow hook but that was done upon the owner of the Porsche request cause it had a large front mount intercooler that was in the way and he wanted it done for pictures so he had him just temporarily glue it. “He uses screws for the fenders” yeah to line up the fender for mounting before using rivnuts, like ever other fiberglass widebody. He’s been doin it for 20+ years, that why it looks easy👍 There’s also a 2 plus year wait for him to come install so that gives the customers time to get the car exactly how they want before the kit is installed making it the cherry on top of the build and it starts at 40k for kit
Because people would rather support an icon in the car scene than a small town car shop who will do it right.. but it’s funny seeing rich people spend money on garbage mods with hot glue and Phillips head screws

Drew teaching us the dark side of each “tuner” company, already did it with Pimp my ride, the next one is Liberty Walk, i cannot wait to see his opinion.
I personally like how they look, i think rwbs are art oriented more than anything. Akira isn't a professional either. He is a professional in his own rights, but he doesn't do the work a professional body shop does. He does it his way, and i think that's part of why he's so popular and legendary. He came out of nowhere and made some of the coolest looking cars.
It doesn’t destroy the car . It looks great . The only thing i dont like is they charge too much money for fiberglass bodykit . Atleast they could use carbon fiber or aluminium
Whatever the case may be though, RWB 911’s are designed for the track, that’s usually why they look kinda rough, in Japan the RWB club will have frequent track days where they apparently thrash the shit out of these cars, I don’t really think they’re designed as show cars necessarily
Drew, no glaze, I did some searching on the tow hooks, and they are in fact bolted. the clip where he tapes/glues the tow hook was done due to the owner wanting a finished photo of the vehicle and he didn’t have the clearance or time to bolt it, he went back later on to finish it. There are numerous rwb owners who came out after that clip to clarify they are indeed bolted
After i seen other porsche tuners and body kits… RWB IS COMPLETE doodoo and for posers who believe they have a “track ready” kit, porsche dont even wanna recognize the garbage kit compared to the rest of the tuners
The increasing RWB's making normal clean Porsche's more appreciating in a good way. RWB uplifts the porsche brand with Nakai's touch and bringing a classic japanese style fitting for these cars makes it so special. So really it depends on the owner you can't get wrong getting one or staying stock.
From what I understand, a lot of the cars are used on tracks... There's one he made with a pretty wild looking exhaust from about a decade ago that was mainly used on tracks. I'm so far out of the car game now, most of my research is old AF in regards to these kinds of mods. My concerns have changed.
There used to be a ruby star RWB 964 here in Pittsburgh. That car was BEAUTIFUL. Owner sold it, moved to California, and then had another RWB built that isn’t nearly as nice imo.

Most of the cars are panel bonded together, how is it any different for the wide body kit? The tow hook was bad though. I think he should be using grade 8 button head bolts though.

If someone did that to a Honda Civic, as long as it turned out looking as good, no one would care. Reason being is the Honda Civic wouldn't be a piece of art car to begin with.
I disagree about the pajamas and slides. If someone has the audacity to work in those clothes, they’re prolly some dude that’s been doing it for longer than I’ve been alive😂

Lmao do some basic research. The builder built, tuned, and raced his own Porsche in Japan during the 80s-90s. Because of his unique bodywork on his personal Porsches is what drove his popularity to what it is now. 🤡
Will a Porsche realistically tow anything though?, I think its just there for aesthetic value, at the end of the day like bosozoku, its really more artistic expression as opposed to practicality. People forget art is rarely practical and if this guy is personally coming out and doing the work, that's respectable. Its not meant for serious racers at the end of the day, so who cares.
