Honda just keeps coming up with so many beautiful and sensible products. The HR-V is surely one of the best SUV's in the US and Canadian market. However I don't believe the HR-V is meant to be used off-road. Thanks for your review of the vehicle, the best review I have seen thus far.
you guys want more power than complain about gas waster , then just get something alce and dont burn it for the people that like this car they obviously got it because they like not because of the horsepower , if u want horsepower i would suggest you get a charger or something alce but then u would have something to complai. regardless of the car :)
I own a 2018 HRV and I agree with the comment below. You really can’t win you get more power you get less mpg people complain. You have less power people complain. This is not a sports car. I have never had a bit of difficulty getting up to speed getting onto the highway. Even in Chicago traffic where you have to be quick at times. This is a great balance at the available price points. The HRV ride is quiet and smooth. (I also own a 2016 Fit). The layout of engine components is much nicer. For example you can easily reach the transmission fill plug compared to the fit which can be a pain unless you have a skeletor arm or 16 inch needle nose pliers.
I have a little question & your answers would be very helpful & appreciated. I'm turning 18 in August & I want to buy an AWD with 6mt vehicle before the first fall of snow which is normally around end of November ( I live in Montreal, Quebec ) . Anyways, is an 09-12 Audi A4 quattro a good first vehicle to keep around 5 years (until 23yo) for myself ? Ive been driving my moms yaris for the past 2 years & oh boy its boring & a little pain in the ass in the winter ahah :') Thanks !

Yikes, I think its a no go on that hill with the HRV! It's underpowered and would never make the climb... Btw, anything coming from FCA such as a Fiat 500X or a Jeep Renegade?

wait 2-3 years if you can by then Honda will realize their mistake and add a all new engine 1'8 is 12 years old and a turbo option or something 1st year vehicles I usually stay away from not always but in this case hopefully Honda will do something I wont buy this yet I will keep my 2011 civic with its 1'8 in it it only has 70 thou on it

They messed up with this car..... The 2016 Civic has two engine options. A 2.0L and a 1.5T! THOSE should be offered on this car! Not the pathetic 1.8L

No issues after 3 years and since it has the tried and true r18 engine, it's reliable regardless of being a first year model back in 2015
