I will never forget as a 14 year old watching them kids singing “he’s got the whole wide world in his hands” on that Monday night Raw’s closer as a John Cena fan. He struck fear in the audience’s and viewers hearts, and in the end he won our hearts with pure passion and love for the business. Before him, I didn’t really have a grasp on what goes into being a performer. The way someone acts, cuts a promo, the amount of confidence and focus that goes into it all, the precision of staying in character. He was larger than life, we saw many forms of Bray but he kept coming back stronger every time for a reason. True legend 🙏🏽

Bray Wyatt brought me back to wrestling and helped me fall back in love with it. I never really think about things like this, but I think he was my favorite modern wrestler, at least from a creative standpoint, because no matter how good, bad or indifferent the last thing he did was, I would unerringly be completely on board for whatever he was going to do next. Many of my favorite moments in the last decade involve him. It's going to be very tough to watch the promos from his last run anytime soon purely from an emotional standpoint, but that comeback was electric. It was obvious how much the man was loved, I think in the way that many artists hope they will be one day. He will be missed.

I remember being soo excited for the debut of The Fiend. His first entrance was pure magic and the match was great as well. That actually brought me close to a buddy of mine that I knew watched wrestling but we would mostly just talk about the old glory days of WWE. When we saw The Fiend we both geeked and messaged each other saying this is the next big thing. THIS is what WWE needed to breathe some life back into wrestling. Had his song on repeat and must've watched that entrance a thousand times. He was a once in a generation storyteller and we all knew it. Even Undertaker knew HE was the one that can carry the torch. It was so evident with how the crowd always reacted to him. He will be sorely missed but his legacy will never be forgotten. My heart breaks for his friends, family, and fans alike. All I can say is thanks Windham, you always seemed to keep a long time wrestling fan interested and captivated as if I were watching wrestling for the first time again. Rest in Paradise, brother ❤🕊️

RIP Bray. I'm still in shock at this and cannot imagine what his family and friends/colleagues are all going through. One of the most interesting and unique characters in wrestling in recent memory

Hearing about the passing on Whatculture and other wrestling news sites, I felt tears coming. When I begin to open a link about Booker T's reaction, I didn't open just yet, but I broke down crying. He was only 36 and wasn't used properly but still made an impact on people lives. He was so creative. I enjoyed everything he did, hit or miss, but I enjoyed it. 😢 RIP Windham "Bray"

I couldn't sleep last night after the news broke. I'm still not fully back to normal yet.

Life is precious and so fragile. To think I was reading about him coming back soon, and the next thing we know is he’s gone. It’s so clear by all the comments and tributes he was loved and loved so many. It still feels unreal.
