@@firstnameiii7270 Yes sir
Hey there, as a person who helped on The Button Witch I have to say it was a joy seeing this in the unsolved mystery, I cannot provide much help but it's actually quite easy to activate... I can give you a hint though. Play the game up until you get to the study interact with the Lamp on the desk, and when the bulb breaks, replace it. That's only a small portion of the easter egg and I cannot be of any more help, that'd just ruin the fun! Good luck on finding the easter egg!
this comment needs more attention
@@wickedwiccann I agree, it's some of the best hints you could ask for
@@wickedwiccann Hey thank you, means a lot to me.
@@NigelMelanisticSmith Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not but, thanks anyway.
This comment should get bumped to the top before long.
Above the wall with the humming in Deathloop is an invisible wall. Messing with the jump height using cheat engine let me mantle on to it but going to far will cause you to fall and phase right through the ground. I did see a big grey cube back there but I had no chance of getting in there without some kind of no clip mod. My guess is it's where they store Julianna until the cutscene she's needed for as the humming does sound a lot like her.
the cube would prob be for calling a specific animation or action as if they needed to have julianna stored they can do that easily by putting her way below the map. but thats just my guess.
i do wonder if its possible to throw a object in there like a bottle or crank wheel thu the hole to see if anything happens
Thing is, if they wanted to store a character or other object to be used later, they could have easily placed it far outside the player-accessible portion of the level, like how they made the Breencasts work in Half-Life 2. The fact that not only can you hear something behind the rock, but there's a partially accessible hole modeled in it, indicates that the devs intended for players to notice it, even if in a very minor and optional way.
Default/placeholder models, like big gray cubes, are often used to maintain effects that the player can't necessarily see. For example, you might place an invisible, intangible object on a path that the player is forced to cross that triggers an audio track, or you might place one under the level geometry as an "axle" to synchronize two visible objects that appear to rotate. I'm willing to bet the cube is the object that plays the humming audio. The fact that you could even see the cube from any angle is kind of strange, and that probably isn't intended even in the context of an EE.
Overall, it seems unfinished to me. It's missing a "punchline," so to speak. If it were me making it, I would've added a thing where the voice says "aww _shi--"_ or something when you throw a grenade in the hole, and _then_ it stops playing altogether.
@@Tinlion09 ua-cam.com/video/hOgEUJ8YY_0/v-deo.html It literally is just a case of "Oops, devs put the box to close to the wall". That's why you can hear her humming, the other colt from the same cutscene is even in there to.
@@ASolidOpinion Welp! There you go.
@@ASolidOpinion And the hole just happened to be there to highlight their failure? lol
Thank you for including the Noita eye glyphs and cauldron mysteries - and thank you very much for the mention :) Fantastic video!
You guys drool. 🤤
Huh. didn't expect to see you here fury :) (although i should of now that i think about it xd)
Ayy hey Fury
I *dream* about the eyes and cauldron. It's driving a lot of us crazy, haha. I hope that some more people decide to give solving them a crack with this added exposure.
@@FuryForged I'm trash at smart-ing, but you have my emotional support
The rat EE was definitely a reference to The Green Mile. I wouldn't be surprised if the movie/book has clues to solve it!
Maybe you need to somehow set the dude in the electric chair on fire? I've never played any of the Gears games so idk if that's possible, but it would definitely make sense in terms of the movie.
i literally thought the same thing and thought he would mention it in the video. i'm surprised someone else noticed the similarities lmao
...goddamn it's been so long since I've seen that movie I didn't think about that at all. Thanks for the memory.
@@ethanpaul1865 there are incendiary grenades in-game, but I only ever played the campaign so I have no clue if they're accessible or not.
@@kek848 You can set a custom match in The Slab multiplayer map and tweak the weapon spawn settings. Set one of the weapon drops to incendiary grenade and see what happens from there 🤷♂️
The Yooka-Laylee one definitely feels like the standard trolling from Rare devs
Yeah. Funny how they can troll real well but can't make a good camera control for a 2017 game lol
I feel like most "unfound" easter eggs are just the devs trolling the playerbase
1,000,000%
Also the character is literally named inept
Classic Rare. Trolling as usual.
At this point Noita is essentially "never found: The game". That game has so many unimaginable secrets and extremely intricate mechanics that I would be surprised if we HAVE found all of them.

I swear I encountered the Bioshock easter egg years back when I was a kid. I vividly remember walking through that glass pipe walkway, and hearing a low trombone sound. I'm pretty sure it shook the screen just a bit, and it kept repeating until it eventually stopped. I just remember being scared and turning off the game because it scared me so much. I don't know how I activated the easter egg, but I would like to never hear that sound again.
Was it the X360 version? Cause I distinctly remember that happening in my game too. As a kid I would constantly boot up the first two BioShock games just to wander around each of the areas and kill Splicers, so Its possible I triggered the easter egg on accident.
That reminds me of the songbird from bioshock infinite or a ship’s horn, I wonder which it could be?
Why tf didnyou play bioshock as a KID?
I'm just so happy that Oddheader gets his own easter eggs in (at least) two games now. Honestly, the more Oddheader videos I watch, the more respect I have for the easter egg community. Those guys are modern video game treasure hunters, really stopping at nothing to try their best to find these easter eggs. I can only hope for good luck for the community, as these eggs are really difficult to find.
If you haven't already, and you really want to get a grasp of how absolutely amazing the easter egg community is, and the massive event that really kind of started modern easter egg/secret hunting, look up the insane search for the final secret in shadow of the colossus. It ended up never actually being a thing until a remake added it in as a reference to that search, but it's genuinely one of the most inspiring stories of perseverance around.
It’s always a great day when OddHeader Posts a Video.
Always!
Duh
Always
Especially when it ends perfectly with the premier of the new tlt song!! :D
@Mija La esa 3 Dumbass bot
I found an unsolved Easter egg out of bounds in Stonekeep (1995). In the Dwarven Fortress Level, the seemingly vacant southeast corner bears hallways that spell out "Jim" in an unusual way in the game's mapping system (Place the Orb of Thera (Saturn) on the ground). Using Cheat Engine to move into the space (Press shift+f8 for coords), I found a full suit of ancient armor (the strongest armor) which was unique and not found until the later levels. I don't know how to get in there properly, and the Developer / Studio hasn't responded. Find my research on TCRF's Stonekeep article.
I think the Deathloop one might be just a thing the game does because the humming sounds like it's coming from the game's main antagonist, Julianna.
She shows up later in a cutscene at the beginning of the game so I'm guessing it's just her model loaded in and the devs forgot to mute her.
friday + new odd header = all is good
Damn it's so crazy to see this channel grow so much. I remember when I went to search for Tony hawks Easter eggs 3 year's ago and he barely had a few thousands subs. Now he's nearly at a million.
Yeah someone stole this comment lmao
@@flamedramon68 I don't care if they did... I know its mine lol. Likes mean nothing to me on here.
16:48 The symbols on the top and bottom of the flyer looked like binary to me, and after putting it in a translator, it seems to come out as 127. That, plus the fact it says to "check that your table lamp is ok", makes me think it has something to do with it as well. Maybe you need to turn on and off a certain table lamp 127 times? (Honestly, I've never played the game, so for all I know, the lamp is just a relevant part of the story.)
Fair thought. If you translate the two lines as separate as they are on the poster it comes out as 77, and either it's still click on the lamp # of times, or maybe something with the number of letters/characters on the flyer?
I've also not played this game, but figure it's worth putting out there.
@@Merlin_The_Wizard I thought that too, but when I did the opposite out of curiosity, (translating text into binary) 7 only equated to the last 8 digits: 00110111. Given how there's 24 digits, splitting them into 3 sets of 8 gives you 00110001 00110010 00110111, which translated as 127 (or 127127, if you count both lines). Though, for all I know, this could mean nothing, and it could be something more well hidden.
Ah, that's pretty smart! I thought it was morse, but i couldn't wrap my head around it. Got "unit" or "unite" or something for the first part if splitting correctly, but then it's just a mess, so it's probably just a coincidence.
let's talk about that smooth transition to the sponsor tho 17:00
The Bioshock 2 easter egg is a reference to the Oddworld games, wherein you play as Abe and have to communicate with such sounds to other people of his species. The laugh track afterwards is him laughing after he does certain things or even hen he farts.
Odd never misses with these videos! He always seems to come back with better and more obscure easter eggs than before.
If it helps, in the poster it looks like binary code that equates to 127 so maybe typing that somewhere might lead to the egg? Maybe if you go up to the table lamp in the study and type 127 something might happen?
Thats what I was thinking (minus the lamp part), the "decor" on that pamphlet thing is too random seeming to be just decoration, and my immediate thought was possibly binary. Plus the message to "check your lamp" just felt weird.
So maybe a long shot, but it says to make sure the lamp is okay, and considering the voltage is typically 120v (in the us), if it ran higher, at 127 is called “extreme operating condition” basically just too much power. Perhaps it has something to do with electricity? Never played the game nor heard of it till now however, but the electrician in me made the connection lol. Between the number being higher then standers voltage and the poster stating to make sure it’s doing ok.
I got an unfound Easter egg suggestion for Minecraft and the problem is that *I vividly remember it from a video that I never came across ever again.*
The video starts out with someone playing Minecraft while wandering around a desert biome before suddenly hearing a fast series of notes that sounds like something out of some early form of techno after reaching some kind of milestone or point and wondering what the noise was and it was years ago because someone else was mining some files and remade the song on what it could sound like if found and it goes like this: it starts with the sound of what happens when you hit the grass but at a faster pace repeatedly before some notes play that have a kind of electric piano sound bit before ending as it gathers up in speed with those same notes carried by another series of notes before ending in all those notes being used together two times before the song ends.
It was in some early form of java or bedrock edition and I'm probably sure that it got buried deeper into the game during later updates or was made more difficult to find but I vividly remember those videos on that mysterious song encounter
I think chris O'Neill spoke about hearing this before, I checked on reddit because someone asked if anyone found the music chris was talking about and someone linked this
ua-cam.com/video/QhPHB6ovnKE/v-deo.html
Not sure if it's the one ur on about tho
Can't find the game footage tho sorry
The way you always seamlessly work in the ads at the end of your videos always hits me like a ton of bricks
16:45 The flyer has binary text at the top and bottom. Try turning the table lamp "off, off, on, on, off, off, off, on etc"
Could also translate to something when decrypted. Good luck and let us know how you go!
Well it does translate, to “127” specifically
The person singing the song in Deathloop is Juliana, the main antagonist of the game.
At the start of the game, she leads you to the manor to kill you a few times and that wall is next to the room where she traps you to do it.
As for the hole, who knows.
Gears of war easter egg reminds me of the green mile. There was a pet rat in it even. The laughter even sounds like Michael Clark Duncan. Might never find out from devs due to his sudden death.
you'll never know how hype i get when this man uploads. Eating food and watching this is amazing. Could be a netflix series if you ask me.
Odd is definitely one of the smoothest ever at transitioning into sponsors
For the oddheader one, the clues seem to be spend s lot of time in the study, check the table lamp often, and the binary on the top and bottom that say 127127 when put together
About that Gears of War easter egg; I don't know if anyone's pointed this out, but during plagues, people would paint crosses on the doors of the houses of infected people; while most resembled religious crosses, there are a few examples of X-shaped door-crosses as well. Combined with the diseased-sounding moaning coming from the cell doors, it could just mean that the people in the cells have some kind of space-illness or whatever.
so happy to see that _you've_ become an easter egg. how exciting!
Okay, the Gears of rat Easter I've 100% done before. I've absolutely seen the wretch before. I can try and replicate it sometime? But I never got further than that. I think if you kill the rat then turn around and throw a grenade and there it should trigger it. But it definitely has lightning strike, you hear the electric chair start zapping, and then the wretch runs in front of the chair, screams, and runs off. It was really dark though and I never noticed it had Prescott's head. Also never thought it went further than that. I probably should have tried shooting it.
yeah same. i feel like it was an achievement too? i remember there was branching easter eggs when doing that one.
I used to play SSX Tricky with my stepdad back in the day and I actually found a way to glitch to the finish line faster. It was towards the end of the map where you can take a left into a tunnel or take right to ride outside. If you press the recover button about halfway through that tunnel you teleport to the end of the tunnel which is basically the finish line. He hated it when I used that glitch
9:08 🤣 Abe's giggle will always be a classic
Being turned into an Easter Egg that hasn't been found must be a rather Odd feeling.
I swear…I love to hear you read the ScreenTags of your Patrons, man. Some are just hilarious!
The SSX tricky crew seems like alot of fun.
The atmosphere around the game’s development was amazing from what I’ve heard from people who worked on the game. The whole team had a blast making it. :)
The rat Easter egg is a movie reference where there are a bunch of prisoners on death row and one prisoner has the power of god. There was a prisoner with a pet rat who accidentally gets killed by the warden and the second Jesus Christ brings it back to life the prisoner later get electrocuted in the chair and the mouse is free and the evil laugh is most likely because you just killed something that was worked so hard to bring back to life
i remember the gow3 easter egg, it involved opening the doors with the "X"s on it and getting a wrench to come out and you would kill it. you then would know if youre doing it right with the laughs. do it in the right order you would then get to see the end of the easter egg.
That's a whole Lotta bullshit, Yeah you're the only guy who knows how to finish the Easter egg. Lmao
Post a vid or shut up.
The Doors also don't open, They've gone into the files & no clipped behind the walls.
For the first Easter egg, that is Emily from dishonored humming, I remember this cause she hums this when you first save her or even before her mother is killed if I recall correctly
The electric chair and the rat in Gears of War 3 might be a reference to The Green Mile when Eduard Delacroix, a man who had a pet rat in the prison, was executed in the electric chair
That has to be the smoothest NordVPN segue I've ever heard.
6:07 what if you have to somehow take a penguin somewhere else, mario 64 style?
I'm sick with covid and this video made my week. Thank you for uploading! Love your channel. ❤️
Buddy, you are a treasure. Your videos are so interesting. This one just adds to the collection of great eggs. Thank you, genuinely.
SSX Tricky was used to be my all time favorite game growing up. Uber board was too goat
Chances are somebody has already discovered most of these easter eggs, they just haven't reported it online yet.
oddheader video gets released. Day gets 100x better.
I love these ones! That Noita one is so complex. Whoa. :0
Great video Oddheader! Always loved easter eggs!
oh hi!
Didn't expect SSX Tricky. I looooved that game one of my two favourite games of all time, together with Time Splitters 2.
GODDAMMIT! THE TRANSITION GOT ME GOOD! I swear the transition with thses sponsors are getting too good.
Ngl i LEGIT remember hearing saxophone and clarinet in Bioshock 2. I think it was during my second or third playthrough, didn't pay that much attention to it tho, i thought it was just some sound coming from some radio or some audio hallucinations of protag or just some background noise.
The Binary code on the Button Witch Poster translates to 127. The code is repeated twice. I imagine it meansyou have to wait in the study for 127 units of some sort of time, or interact with the Table Lamp that many times perhaps?
You genuinely inspire me as a content creator. Thank you for your videos Oddheader. You and your community are truly one of a kind.
About the SSX Tricky one... we've been trying to get the shortcut right for months, but we can't figure out shit.
I bet that Yooka-Laylee egg is finished, and you need to 'demonstrate patience' ingame somehow to trigger it.
I've never played The Button Witch, so I don't know if this will work, but based on the clue you were given I'm guessing you need to go to a Table Lamp in the Study and type "127" above and below the lamp. the binary at the top and bottom of the clue page translates to "127" and since it's at the top and bottom of the page, that's where I'm getting the idea you have to enter it above and below the lamp.
Again, never played the game so I don't even know how much of that is possible
My word that sponsor transition was as smooth as eggs.
The developers for red dead redemption have said on Twitter that in the first game, there are still things the playerbase has yet to find, though they didnt go into more detail than that.
I legit feel like I've heard that sax as I generally finish stuff then trek back looking for loot I missed.
Love the Oddworld: Abe laugh. Lol
I think I came across the SSX Tricky one when I was a kid. (Being 100% serious) I remember being the young teenage kid and around beginning of the map towards the right I was grinding on rails and some weird glitch happened where I was out of the map and only the background was on screen. I was in mid air the entire time and got the biggest combo I ever got. Then out of no where I appeared infront of the finish line way ahead of everyone. I was so excited I thought I glitched the game and decided to never play that level again because of the ridiculous game breaking score I got. It was on original Xbox
I used to play the Gears of War 3 map all of the time with my cousin on that map, and we did get a wretch to spawn, but not with Prescott’s head, if I remember right there’s a smaller hole on the map that you can get the ball into and make the wretch spawn
“Yeah I’ll leave”
doesn’t leave
what a chad
I played SSX Tricky a bunch and I swear there IS a secret shortcut on Aloha Ice Jam.
It’s like Devs never heard of a pencil and paper to keep track of their dumbass egg
0:20 Eternalist: (dies)
The MK code is on the original arcades from the 1st one. There was a special debug code inside the arcade and the combo is inside the MK machine. I remember one time when i was a teenager someone collecting the coins showed me there's a code inside the machine to go into debug mode and there's even code for unlimited quarters which he did that day for me. Hopefully this helps
Thanks for spoiling what seems to be a plot twist at the beginning of your Deathloop entry. I was waiting for the Xbox release to play it
If I recall gears 3 in specific has a bunch of undocumented easter eggs, Like on the first level of the campaign you can find a cluckshot right after you fight the first boss of the game
The rat and electirc chair are referance to the Stephen King novel the Green Mile
I almost choked when I heard Abe's chuckle at 9:14. Stay Odd!
I think that rat running out of the room where the electric chair is at may be an easter egg for the movie "The Green Mile" And the rat was supposively Mr. Jingles even though the movie rodent was a mouse... That's just my opinion.
I remember the movie “The green mile” having to do with electric chairs and a mouse running out from the cell. The guard killed the rat. I’m going to watch the movie and see if we can figure something out. It’s a stretch but wouldn’t hurt.
I feel like the crowd laugh on gow 3 is a laugh at the player not understanding the Easter egg lol
Mortal Kombat The Animated Video: The Journey Begins came with a coupon book. I bet there’s at least a hint in there.
The deathloop thing is probably another reference to "Shadow Over Innsmouth".
They shove that crap into all of their games.
For the Oddheader Easter Egg at the end, the flyer seems to feature some sort of Binary Code at the top and bottom: "001100010011001000110111" which is then translated to "127"... Since I don't own the game this is as far as I can investigate, good luck lol
2:58 Ah, yeah, I still remember the video I watched talking about how disastrous that event was like if I watched it last week.
ah, my favorite content, glad to be back
That sonic drone sounds like a waveform to create an image, probably just depicting the hedgehog
I would like to know if anyone can recall seeing an Easter egg/advertisement in the game DC Universe Online. Many years ago when I was roaming the Metropolis city on the Little Bohemian island I swear I remember seeing the restaurant sign for Subway on one of the buildings. I remember laughing at it and taking a picture but eventually deleting my photos for space on my PlayStation and forgetting about it for a while. Much later when I remembered it I went back to see it but it was gone. I'm unsure if it was all just a fever dream or if they removed it because of the old Subway scandal they eventually had. The game released in 2011 while I believe the Subway scandal involving Jared was in 2015 so it seems possible they could of had the sign for a time but removed it afterwards.
My favourite Dark Colour song. I really hope it gets released soon. Can listen to it for hours on end 😍
yay, new oddheader video. Today is a good day
Hopefully people figure some of these out and we get a update video. These are my favorite types you do
wake up babe new oddheader upload
Never heard of "It's Mr. Pants" before but after watching some gameplay on youtube I have to say that I wasn't expecting something so cursed
There’s another one in Gears of War 3, I forgot which MP map there are certain “bomb” around the map, they reset after every round. They haven’t been all shot or found yet
I don't know if you noticed but that may be binary at the top and bottom of the flyer in the Button Witch
11:22 i wonder if people have tried following the rat?
16:47 the binary on the admission test says 127 on the top and bottom
the ticket also says to spend time in the study and to check the table lamp so you might have to check the lamp 127 times or something
13:21 have you tried running to the cross doors after shooting the rat? while the blood is still on the screen.
4:59 that is definitely a view of Kihei and Haleakala in the background.
for the deathloop easter egg i would suggest getting in touch with someone who can take the camera out of bounds, it might just give us a better look at what (if anything) is back there
Shesez from Boundry Break would be a good person to talk to about that
9:16 Odd Chuckle look like Abe from Oddworld !
I think the Gear of War 3 Easter egg may be a reference to a film called “The Green Mile” though I’m not sure.
i translated the circles and lines on the pearl academy poster admission test, i translated it in binary. it comes out as 7, i hope that helps. maybe it has something to with the text at the bottom, about being in the study and to check your lamp.
The easter egg about oddheader has something to do about the number 7 and reviewing about an exam(?)
This man has the weirdest intros. I respect that
The secrets in Noita will be notoriously hard to solve, because there is possibility that the ciphers when cracked could be Finnish. As Noita is Finnish in itself and means witch. Even Google translator struggles with finnish language sadly. :|
I've never heard of SSX Trickey before, reminds me of how the second Splashdown game had way cooler courses than the first such as and the Bermuda Triangle and a Jurassic Park type course which had a T-Rex that absolutely scared me as a kid
I HIGHLY recommend playing SSX Tricky and SSX3. They're so much fun
