That's true! I can't stop laughing, it is so pathetic, Jesus...
So fucking true lmao
It's a great case-study showing that the amount of capital in the account is not a guarantee of success.
Sure, he could probably have pumped up to 100:1 leverage and just done some relatively low-yield plays to get 2-3%, which would still work out to enough for a new Lexus, but where's the fun in that?

What would happen if he just put that 50k into dividends or some other form of passive income (maybe bitcoin at the time).. He never posted about it on reddit, and just waited until Robinhood figured out the mistake themselves.
Assuming a good time passes would he only own the 50k once they find out or will he also owe the money he earned off of it?

And he decided "Hmm yes, apple will collapse on Friday" and lit his money on fire.
Truly the peak of Wall street bets
It’s not a free money glitch though, he’d have to pay interest on the amount he borrowed. He just found a way to basically trick them into giving him a huge loan to gamble with using very little collateral
@@lukegpb177
There is no interest on margin on Robinhood Gold..
He could have made $288 risk free from every AMD Call he sold.
Borrow $3200 to buy 100 shares, sell a $2 Call for $3288, get assigned and sell shares for $200. Now he has $3488 dollars in his acount. He then returns $3200 plus to Robinhood and keeps $288.
And even with interest payment on the $3200, it would have been a profit for him...

I'm not sure it was the *only* mistake he made.
Yeah and I’m sure he could have sued Robin Hood and played stupid and a victim of a glitch that shouldn’t have put him in suck risk, if he makes money. Then bet, but if he loses I’m sure he would be able to get out of it somehow, maybe file bankruptcy

Until recently, I was unemployed, I played games all day, and I had nothing driving me forward. I was depressed. I had traded forex before, but it was slow, and lacked the special something that could soothe my autism. Now, however, after finding your videos, the very next day I went and got a job, I bought a shit car, to get to my job, and I have also watched every video on your channel. If I was born for one purpose, it is to shamefully throw my wages at call options. Making 6000 from a 1000 outlay? Lose the entire 1k? It's autistic either way, and has woken up a primitive force within me. I feel the inner chimp just wanting to sling my money at options, like slinging shit at the jungle whore. What's even more brilliant is those puts wouldn't have printed even if he did get the move he was looking for, because the IV would drop and it would be priced in to the new premium because it was an earnings play. Truly a legend.
The fun fact is that without the last operation done even if the covered call expired in the money he could do a 2-3% on the borrowed money.
Because the premium was so high that it would had covered even a small loss on the stock price.
