The medical care in the valley is quite good. I made a video about it that you can watch here: ua-cam.com/video/TpHivT4qtYM/v-deo.html There are many specialists. The healthcare system here is like everywhere else post-covid..they are feeling the constraints of fewer healthcare workers and increased patient load, so getting into a primary care physician for the first visit can be difficult. However, for specialists, you can have your current specialist help with a transfer to a specialist here so that you don' t have to start from square one. As for Middleton specifically, you would drive into Nampa/Caldwell or Boise or Meridian for your health care needs, so anywhere from a 15-40 minute drive, depending on where your doctors were from Middleton.
I used to live in Middleton. Was raised there, actually. I love the small town and open spaces. I miss it. It's too bad our hidden corner of the valley is slowly being exposed.
Middleton is a great place to live, and unfortunately, things do change. Middleton is still relatively small so the city has a good opportunity to grow wisely…hopefully the city will recognize that and plan wisely for future growth so it can grow but do so in a way that stays true to the feel of Middleton.
You covered it all...even comments from the locals! LOL. Loved this video and all of the great information. You leave no stone unturned when you give all of the information. So so great! #goals
I owned a home in Middleton Idaho. It is a beautiful LITTLE town. Used to be 6,000 people about 5 years ago. Probably 8 or 10K now. 1 grocery store & 2 gas stations. Small town life. I do most of my shopping in Caldwell or Eagle. If you like small town life, you will love Middleton.
Well- as I said- we have mosquitos in town in the Boise area but they are not problematic. You can go out in the evenings to walk along the greenbelt trail or have a BBQ in your yard and not have to wear bug spray.
Excellent question. I don't know if it is in the middle of everything everything, but it is NOT in the middle of the Treasure Valley! If you must know, it was an important stage stop point on the Oregon trail and it was in the middle between Boise and Parma Idaho.
We’re from CA and been wanting to relocate for years now. Esp now that our son is 3. We want to visit Boise in November. Definitely check this area out.
Thanks for watching - I will be finishing up videos about all the other areas of the Treasure Valley in the next few weeks, so keep a look out for those - and let me know when you come to town to check it out :).
I think Emmett will probably experience growth eventually (it is a little bit already), but more likely from locals who want to get away from the Boise growth but still be closer to the city. Most of the out of state prospective buyers I show Emmett to think it is a lovely valley, but not for them. Many like to be closer to things like Trader Joe’s and Costco and Emmett feels too rural for them. So that’s good news for you- at least for now. 🙂
Beautifull country. Good place to move to IF! you can find a quick way of getting there. Nothing direct goes there. But a beautifull country that's for sure.
Uh yeah I live in Middleton and it is psychotic. There is a wreck every day and over 10,000 residents with 1 traffic light. Stop moving here. The town is falling apart...
Thanks for asking! The weather is the same as Boise, you can watch my video all about that here:ua-cam.com/video/4eyPmZtgb-w/v-deo.html As far as crime goes, you can google various crime maps to find that info, but the crime is considered low, and it is considered a very safe place to live.
Thanks for the update on Door Dash! This is an older video, and I gathered info from my friends that live in Middleton before making it, they said they didn't get services like that..but sounds like that has changed!
Well, we have mosquitos. Most communities have a mosquito abatement program and they treat waterways and areas where water gathers, so they generally aren't a problem in typical neighborhoods in town. Even along the Boise River Greenbelt Trail, they exist but aren't problematic. As far as the mountains/deserts go when camping/hiking, it would depend on the weather patterns that year. Sometimes there may be more of a problem with mosquitos than other times. You'll definetly want bug spray if you are out camping, but you probably won't need it out in the evenings in town anywhere - even if you are along the river in town. It's a high desert climate here - it's not like the midwest or back east, so we have fewer bugs and much fewer insect issues. But you will be taking down a wasps nest or two every year off of your house anywhere you live in the valley.
Find out why Middleton, Idaho is a great place to live. Do you think you would enjoy living in Middleton?
MUCHAS GRACIAS
De nada :)

How is the medical care ? Is there enough specialists MD to take care of the aging patients ?.

Hi thanks for all your hard work- Whats the bottom line on mosquitos in Idaho ???

Moved into Emmett due in part of seeing the rapid growth out in the Treasure Valley metros. Hopefully, this valley doesn't get discovered too much.

Lived in Middleton Idaho essentially all my life. Calm place, nice people. Houses are going up soon.
Beautifull country!

Looks like Middleton is in the early stages of a BOOMTOWN !
It could be...tons of building going on..but lots of differences of opinion with the residents on how to grow.

HI! What is the lo-down on mosquitoes in west Idaho ??????

Maybe one day, Middleton will get door dash.
Amazing :)
